Dr. Poet is simply THE BEST!! A genius with diagnosis and instinct that beats all. Not one to gouge your pockets with unnecessary tests. Very compassionate, knowledgeable and kind. Rebecca (I think his wife) is very kind and helpful as well. They make a great team. Thank you so very much for all you do.

Bo was comfortable from the first visit (and he's often not). Dr. Poet is knowledgable, straightforward, and genuine. The staff are great too.

Dr. Poet is the best. He is extremely compassionate, kind, and knowledgeable. His rates are reasonable and he is honest about options and possibilities. We have never felt pressured or taken advantage of. Our animals always get excellent care ( cats and dogs alike). We've had quite a few old timers and they are always happy to see Dr. P and his techs. I haven't had the same experience with the other vet in this office. She is not bad, but it's hard to hold a candle to Dr. P.

Called to schedule appt for our new puppy. Receptionist could not locate former records. 2 cats and 2 dogs over 20 years had been seen in best friends clinic. New owner "Rebecca" said not taking "new" patients. Good because I would not want my puppy seen by those people. Very rude!

had an appointment and they did something to my cat , he is afraid of everyone in our house now and just sitting in the corner cowering will not eat for the past few days . called and asked what happened and did not get a clear answer . also will not work w/ you on payment plans at all !!! lookimg for new vet

Dr Poet is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful in caring for my animals. He takes the time to listen to my concerns and will explain needed treatments. The vet techs and office staff are also friendly and helpful. You can actually ask everyone here questions and get answers.

Dr. Poet is the consummate professional veteranian. He takes time to listen, to educate, and to care. With four dogs and two cats, we've come to know Dr. Poet well, and he's come to know us and our pets. He's always kind, willing to fix as necessary, and knowledgeable about current and developing treatments. His staff supports him well - and they are an efficient and caring place to take sick or hurt pets.

Called this morning as I was referred to Dr. Poet by a good friend saying he is the best. I spoke with SHARON at the front desk and she could not have been any more difficult. I told SHARON that I wanted to speak to or pass a message onto Dr. Poet and was immediately informed by this unspeakably crass woman after telling her my pup has an urgent medical condition, that "he doesn't do phone consultations, they aren't accepting any new clients anyway, and Dr. Poet is about to go on vacation". All i asked was to speak to the doctor to get a second opinion and am willing to pay for it. Some people out there right now desperately need an deserve jobs, SHARON is not one of them. Fire her.

Dr Poet and his staff are caring and empathetic. Their expertise with my dog and cats has been top notch. They have intervened and saved my pets lives more than once. Your furry friend will receive excellent care here.

Dr. Poet and the other doc is wonderful, caring, compassionate, they go out of their way and sometimes do stuff just to be charitable if it's a worthy cause. They are beyond wonderful.

I live in Florence, but I took my 4 Norwich Terriers to Dr. Poet for teeth cleaning (highly recommended by a friend) because he is very familiar with the breed. One has a Norwich respiratory issue and it is important to have the knowledge he does about it. It was the most amazing experience I have had with a vet hospital and I have had many years of experiences. They allowed me to observe and look at their airways myself. I was also able to assist in the after care. He cleaned all their ears, trimmed their nails, and treated an anal gland that had infected. I was treated like I had been a client for years. The entire staff was amazing. Prices were very reasonable. Just wish they were in Florence!

Only complaint is Dr. Poet and staff are overworked and overwhelmed. Best Vet in Southern OR. Always busy, always a wait. I'm just afraid that they are taking on too many new patients........

I called to see if they were taking new doggy patients, gal who answered the phone said no, I asked nicely if she could recommend anyone and she said "try the yellow pages" and pretty much hung up on me, poor customer service even if you weren't taking new doggy patients! Talk about rude.

After going to a vet I wasn't comfortable with, I had multiple people refer me to Dr. Poet. I'm so glad they did. I've actually seen the other vets in his office just as often him and they're all equally kind, compassionate and knowlegeable. You can be certain that your pets are in good hands at Best Friends of East Medford.

I adopted an older dog who was an owner surrender and had been going to Dr. Poet for years, and when I tried to make an appointment, their receptionist was very rude and not helpful and said they wouldn’t accept the dog to come back. My dog is 13 and scared of the vet and this was the only office he was comfortable at. Very rude receptionist.
