I was frantically calling every vet within the Rogue Valley on New Year's Eve to have my guinea pig seen because of an eye injury. The animal hospital was open and got us in within 2 hours. The staff was so sweet and kind to us and the doctor - who doesn't typically see exotics - took care of my guinea, Donut, like a pro. They did a dye procedure in her eye to diagnose and determined that it was an ulcer. We got antibiotic cream to apply a few times a day. I can't recommend them enough, I am so grateful they were able to take care of us on short notice and make an exception to see a guinea pig, the total price was more than reasonable. Thank you so so much!

Holy moly, thus place is like 1/10th the cost of the other places in Ashland! Also fast and efficient, reminds me of that old place in eagle point that won’t take new patients. As an added bonus they didn’t try to hawk any science diet products. (Looking at you A street)

A year ago I needed to get my dog his bordatella vaccination quickly to board him at a kennel. Ashland Medical Hospital was the only vet that would see him on such short notice. Now due to a surgery scheduling glich and other mis communication with techs at a vet in GP for our other fur baby, I called Ashland Medical Hospital again and they were able to get me an appointment for early june. Every vet I called in GP was booked out for months. Thank you ????

They are so wonderful here! I was able to bring my dog in same-day for his shots when we needed to leave town and board him, and they were so accommodating and kind. Accommodating, friendly, organized...the works!

Nice people, adorable prices, they really care.

Busy place. Usually put on hold when you call. Not very natural remedy oriented which I expected from an Ashland vet. Spendy as all vets these days. Nail clips aren't too terribly spendy at $24ish last I took my pup for one. Come, park, call, tell them your spot. Expect to be parked about an hour or more, even just for a sample drop off. Friendly people.

They have a great staff here. They have added some new staff lately who are working hard to come up to speed. They work very hard to care for our pets! :-)

My husband and I have lived in this region for decades, and we always take our animals/pets to the Ashland Medical Hospital. Today, we ran out of medication for one of our animals, and we not only had a new prescription phoned in, but also a few pills to tide us over until this prescription is filled. I would give ten stars, if this was the level for best performances.

Considering when you select this vet, my dog is the one in the picture, my review should be heeded. This vet is incompetent. I brought my dog in for assumed ear pain (she kept shaking her head) and they told me there was something wrong with her neck. Not something to be taken lightly! They did x-rays and told me there were issues with joint space, and to seek a specialist. With this new information, we went to the specialist, who informs me $700+ later, the perceived neck joint disorder was "just a positioning artifact on the xray". The didnt position her neck correct! Animal Medical Hospital even sedated her for these x-rays. They also missed a simple eye diagnosis at the same time. I will go out of my way to tell people in this community of the unworthiness of high AMH reviews. There are quite a few better vets right up the road. Take your pets to them!

Our animals have always been really well cared for by all who work there for the 20+ years we've trusted them to treat various cars and dogs.

Curb service, thanks to Covid. They take pet from car, into vet. Vet calls and talks you through exam and answers questions, they bring pet back to car. Wasn't sure about this set up, because I'm hands on with medical appts. But this worked very well and we received the info needed to treat our pet.

Everything one should look for in a veterinarian's office. -Staff put me at ease and made me feel comfortable leaving my dog in their hands. -Veterinarian was calm, confident, informative, and very attentive to my questions. Our dog ingested foreign objects that could potentially be a large problem. I called two separate Veterinarian's offices, the other veterinarian's office staff made things sound as if everything was dire and deadly. Here on the other more reaffirming hand, Staff was calming and helpful and was able to get us in to be seen within the hour, despite the fact that Dr. Ahlbrecht was in and between pre-scheduled surgeries all that day. Staff was very helpful and concerned without causing alarm. Dr. Ahlbrecht was very attentive and informative. She came outside to speak with me to advise regarding decisions to make, since this was a visit during Covid-restrictions and I was unable to enter the building with our dog. They were able to take care of my dog for a fraction of the cost that the other office yawped at me would be needed for this incident. Ultimately, a great experience born from a concerning situation.

We have had pets for years, and LeAnn (and her staff, including Diane) are very responsive and really help. We ran out of needed pills for a cat of ours, and the Animal Medical Hospital staff went out of their way so we could have these pills when we ran out. Plus, the Doc (LeAnn) came out in the driving rain to take samples for tests to be performed, as we sat in our vehicle. Thank you, all!

I want to Thank The Ashland Medical Hospital for Doing Everything to Save my Hunter Cat! He's still Fighting but he has a Fighting Chance now! Masterfully stitched up my greyhound leg who lost a fight with a fence. Somehow managed to find 4 inches of skin to replace what he left on the fence. Immediate care on a weekend in a pandemic. Pros.

Great vet!! They are super friendly and practical. They work with me on finances when I need it. They took fantastic care of my old man cat and continue to take great care of my elderly dog.

During the recent fires, our dog got life threateningly ill. Animal Medical Hospital was one of only two vets who were open and able to receive phone calls. The other open vet was very unkind and told us to drive into active fire zones to get treatment and refused to even give our dog basic care like IV fluids to hold him over until it was safe to take him elsewhere. Animal Medical Hospital was so kind and responsive and they without a doubt saved our dog’s life. We received some of the best service we’ve ever received during an extremely challenging time. They were busy and had limited access to power and internet and still went above and beyond. I am eternally thankful to Animal Medical Hospital for the care they gave to our sweet elderly dog who suffered from the result of the fires. Thank you so much to the caring staff! Highly recommend.
