Dr Stan Wood and his staff are fabulous. They really care about their patients and their clients. Dr Wood is meticulous, and an amazing surgeon if that is needed. He and his staff are courteous, compassionate, and caring. Having a pet sick, or injured is very stressful, and 3rd Street Veterinary clinic staff provides the best of care, while providing care and comfort to the pet owner. We have been customers at 3rd Street for many, many years, and that speaks for itself. I highly recommend them! Patrick, Dayton, Oregon

Dr Wood and his staff have taken great care of my cats over the past 12 years. They are kind and caring, professional and knowledgeable, and I trust them entirely. Highly recommend.

Everyone was very nice and attentive to my Chloe. Fixed his upset tummy and ears. He’s now 13 years old and much better.

High quality care. Went out of their way to provide kindness when it was time for our elderly pet family member to pass away. They’ve been great with our rescue pup!

Prompt efficient service. Clean convenient facility. All our questions answered. Friendly staff. Good quality care for Raven. EZ to make appointments. Our third annual visit in August 2021. August 2020 back for an annual check up. Safe Covid procedures in place. DR. found an ear infection thankfully, treated it and it is improving. I appreciate the care for Raven and for safety during The Great Pandemic.

Highly recommend! Everyone was nice and helpful. Dr. Wood didn't do a surgery because he said it wasn't necessary at this time. We were given bad advice at a different vet. It's refreshing to see people who are not just worried about money. They also helped me to get meds for my dog even though we were only seen for a consult. Thank you Third Street Veterinary Hospital. I would definitely go back here.

I brought in my kitten that I adopted from a shelter. After only having him for a week he had lost almost a full pound and was down to 1.5lb. He was severely dehydrated and wasn’t doing well at all but Third Street Veterinary Hospital ran some tests, gave him subcutaneous fluids, gave me some medicine to give to him and just after one day of their care he looks and obviously feels way better. Thank you third street!❤️

I will never be taking my animal back to this place., NEVER EVER!!! They wanted to send out a urine specimen on my $5,000 dog to check for infection and the specimen they collected was obtained off the floor!! Yes, off. The. Floor. As a healthcare professional I can not fathom using this technique to collect any type of specimen. There were other issues with his visit as well but this one took the cake. Thanks and no thanks for your services. We are looking for another provider. Many blessings for a prosperous business.

Cannot see the vet face to face, but the service is good. My dog likes going back there.

I’ve been taking my one year old bearded dragon here and love them. They’re very nice and respectful. They always get back to me quickly and give me lots of information. Finding a good vet for an exotic animal can be difficult, but I’ve referred them to other exotic pet owners and would again.

They have taken very good care of our sugar gliders and our cockateil!

The vet here was the only one who made me aware that my dog had a heart issue. I believe she had a cardiac event of some sort on her way there and unfortunately needed to be put down later that same day in the comfort of my home but she was 14 so she lived a long life. So thank you to the vet for making me aware.

We've been taking our pets to Dr. Wood since 2006. Everyone at Third Street Veterinary is so kind and considerate. Dr. Wood has always been compassionate and knowledgeable as well as very patient when educating us about our pets' health and needs. I have especially appreciated his support and bedside manner when the news could be better -- no one likes to face this time in a pet's life, and having a veterinarian you can trust means the world.

Dr. Wood is one of the kindest vets in the area. We have trusted him with all of our animals and have never regretted it.

I am a new client to Third Street Veterinary Hospital and so far I am very pleased! Everyone here is very knowledgeable, willing to assist in any way, kind, and professional. Even with the new restrictions because of COVID, everything has worked smoothly. Never met Dr. Wood, but he calls you and goes over everything from the appointment and answers any questions. They take care of our two cats and our Labrador, and service has been great every time. Our new rescue kitten had an appointment in Oct. but When I called to see if it can be sooner they got me an appointment for this Thursday, two days away! Very flexible and easy to work with. They also will talk and answer questions over the phone as much as they can. Other vets have always told me to just come in, but I appreciated that they talked with me to see if an appointment was even necessary.

This morning my Cockatiel was attacked by my daughter’s ferret. I brought him to work with me to keep and eye on him and found that he was injured on his wing and bleeding. Third Street Animal Hospital was one of the first places I called but they did not have a doctor in yet and were booked solid for the week. After calling several other Vet Hospitals/Clinics in Tigard, Beaverton, Salem, Woodburn, Lake Oswego, Portland, Hillsboro, etc and was unsuccessful getting my bird seen I called Third Street Animal Hospital back. They got me on the schedule for 2:15 squeezing me in between scheduled patients (the veterinarian didn’t get in until 2pm.) This meant so much to me. They were AWESOME!! Dr Wood and staff are so kind. Coconut is ok with no puncture wounds and just a small abrasion on the surface!

I highly recommend this vet! They are very supportive and very cooperative. They took very good care of my kitten when I took her in for her vaccines and her getting spayed.

We were traveling home from the coast with our two 5 month old Havanese puppies-we had given them the Rx medication for car sickness that we got from our vet at home but they both started vomiting non stop about 30 minutes into our trip ????. They were soooo miserable with vomiting & dry heaving! We still had a 7 hour drive to get home so we stopped at this “animal hospital” for help-met at the door & were told that they had nothing in stock that we could give the puppies, no availability to be seen by a vet & they could give no advice on OTC medication or dosages!!! And you call your business a “hospital”??? What a joke!!!

I switched over to 3rd street about a year or two ago after my previous vet switched to an emergency clinic. I took my cat there until for kidney disease and hyperthyroidism for quite a while before we eventually said goodbye. They were extremely helpful and compassionate through the whole process. Prior to that they offered lots of support and trained me how to administer care to my cat at home. I still take my dog and a 3 week old kitten I am hand rearing. My dog is very avoidant of people and does not welcome any form of touching from anyone but me. He is especially fearful of men but really seem to like this vet. Dr wood is incredibly knowledgeable and very willing to take the time to discuss care and I never feel like unnecessary or costly care is being pushed on me. Even though many things have been complicated by the pandemic, they always have availability reserved for pets that are in need of care quickly or are sick. All of his staff are always helpful, knowledgeable and kind. I use care credit for my vet bills and not all vets take this payment option but they do. This hospital is a well oiled machine with good bedside manor. I couldn't imagine taking my pets anywhere else as long as I live in the area.

Highly trusted vet that we recommend to everyone who moves here. Dr. Wood is honest and very intelligent. Can come off as a bit dry but you can tell he genuinely cares about the animals and will answer any question you have, clarify anything you need, and give his insightful perspective if asked. He's very good with our dog who can be squirmy. They have been able to get our dog in the same day for emergency isssues and the front desk folks and vet techs are all very friendly and helpful.
