The Scooby Shack Lake Oswego, Oregon

I’ve taken our dog to scooby shack for years for boarding and grooming but my recent experience will keep me from ever going back. It’s too bad because we trusted them for so long. Apparently there are new owners and groomers. The haircut given to our dog looked like it was done as fast as they could. Completely uneven all over with tufts of hair much longer than the rest over her whole body. Most of the hair was cut so super short, she looked shaved right to her skin. Worse is that they cut the tips of both ears and they were still bleeding even the next day. What really broke my heart was how our dog acted. It was like she was abused. I’ve never seen her so desperate to leave a place and she was inconsolable for that night and the next day. I think they were very rough with her and possibly abusive. To make matters worse, I went back to talk to the owner the next day and he seemed indifferent to my poor dog’s experience. He wouldn’t look at any pictures saying ‘you can’t tell anything from photos’ He did concede to give me my money back and said that the groomer would be sad to hear that I was unhappy. I never got to talk to the groomer after the haircut. If I injured a person’s dog to the point where it was bleeding, I would have made a point to hand the dog over myself so I could explain what happened and apologize in person. I highly encourage anyone seeking a groomer to go somewhere else. It’s one thing to give a bad haircut, completely forgivable, but unacceptable to treat a defenseless animal so cruelly.

Luna loves going to daycare. They are always helpful and accommodating and reasonably priced. It’s great that she can get bathed there too.

Incredible staff, great facilities, happy and safe pooches! With a robust activity list and great practices and procedures, you can rest assured that your pup will be happy here! My families two doggies, one large and one small, are extremely happy here. They light up with joy and excitement to the words "preschool" or "day camp" and come home thouroghly exhausted and played out. A wonderfully enriching bonus to their little lives ❤

Always feel comfortable leaving our dog at Scooby Shack when we are gone. And she comes home happy and smelling really good!

This was our first time at Scooby Shack. Tucker evaluated our lab and approved of his disposition. He seemed to genuinely car for all the dogs.

They were very friendly and good eith the dogs. Place was clean and the observation window is awesome to watch the dogs play. Someone is out with the dogs at all times.. highly recommend Scooby Shack!

Nowadays I’m grateful for any services, especially dog grooming. When my regular grooming place did not return several messages to book an appointment I tried the Scooby Shack. They were responsive, professional, and offered better hours than my regular place. Think I just got a new grooming place for Sam and Porter!

She won't win any "best behavior" awards, but she loves to go and play! She always comes home tired from playing with her buddies ready for a nap.

Usually we do a mobile groomer, so was very happy with the outcome of the experience :) we will be coming back

Took our senior poodle today for a grooming appointment. Kim was extra patient and focused her attention on our fur baby who is somewhat unstable in his feet. Just 1.5 hours later - and Finn was groomed beautifully, had no problems walking out and happy! Thanks for an excellent experience! We will be back!

We just boarded our cat for several days for the first time since having him and they were so accommodating and helpful through the whole experience, all our high maintenance needs included. Our cat did not seem excited at all to come home, so I know he was well taken care of and spoiled.

We had our two kitties boarded at the The Scooby Shack while we had our hardwood floors refinished. From the moment we dropped off, the staff was very friendly! All of our questions were answered. Our cats came back calm and well cared for. Would use them again if the need arises!

Boarded my cat here for 13 days - felt very comfortable leaving her with them - way better than other places that charge the same price - will definitely board her here again!

My golden retriever puppy, Ziggy, loves it here! He can’t wait to run in as soon as we get up to the door. He loves the people too, all very nice and friendly!

I love the Scooby Shack! My 2nd floor condo has no air conditioning and it became dangerously hot for me and my kittty to stay there. 2 vets and another place had no availability. Scooby Shack to the rescue! My kitty had sole run of her new, air conditioned "condo" away from home.???? Owner is really nice and the other staff are great to work with. Thank you for helping my kitty stay safe and comfortable.????????

My girls (two Westies)love going to Scooby! One is in her senior years and they dote on her, like she is their own. The younger one know she is there to play and comes home very tired after a few days of running with the pack. Highly, highly recommend!

I have 3 dogs, all with varied cuts. When I went to get them, all were beautifully groomed and relaxed. I definitely will be using the Scooby Shack again. My dogs look adorable.

I just say the magic words “Does Bentley want to go to Scooby Shack”. He runs to the door and whimpers in excitement all the way there. He loves it and comes home tired which I love!

Our little dog, Chica, is very nervous and not always the greatest with other dogs, but the staff at Scooby Shack makes her at ease and she always is happy to go there for boarding. We could not be happier with our experience!

Staff seems friendly however I worked in the same parking lot and applied to get one of my dogs in daycare about 3/6 months before the pandemic. I was wait listed and way over a year later I've still never been called. Would have been super convenient being that I worked basically next door. Another coworker applied at the same time and too was never contacted. Not sure if they lost our info or made assumptions about our household incomes. Not wise if it were the latter. What a shame. I've recently moved out if state so it's too late now. Still never contacted a year and half later.

my toy pom and I LOVE the Scooby Shack! it's clean, the dogs get lots of play time, the staff is fantastic and she comes home pooped out and happy. I highly recommend!

I have taken my dogs to Scooby Shack since 2011. Trulli loves going to Scooby Shack so she can play with her doggie friends and with Todd. I am very happy with the care Trulli receives and have no reservations taking her for daycare and boarding Trulli at Scooby Shack.

We took our puppy in for an evaluation for doggy daycare. We had both trainers take time to talk with us and great help from the front desk too. I can tell he’s going to be in really great hands here! Highly recommend.

First visit for our 6 month old lab pup and we could not have been happier with the care the team gave us. They were so willing to answer all our questions before and after his visit so that we are fully comfortable and confident they will be taking great care of our puppy. Would recommend them for any puppy parents looking for some social time for their loved pups.
