Salem Friends of Felines Keizer, Oregon

SFoF is an *amazing* organization. Their volunteers are so compassionate and self sacrificing it genuinely restores some faith in humanity. They take in a lot of kitties from tragic situations, nurse them back to health, and teach them how to trust humans again- it’s really touching. Their facility is so clean and inviting. The kitties are very clearly loved on while they wait for their forever-homes and the staff are very good at making sure that they are going to good, loving places. If you’re in a position to donate- it’s a cause well worth it! They take bottles and cans if you aren’t able to donate food or money- every little bit helps and you can really see that they are accountable with what they are given. You can follow their social media and watch their kitties on a livestream.

Love what they are doing for kitties. We try to shop and donate here whenever possible.

Good thrift store and good cause.

Always loved this place. If you're having a bad day come here to pet some kitties and maybe take one home! Good prices from good people who just want to do good things in the world. Any donations here will go to a good cause. Update a few years later: I got my lovely lady, Lilah here. Found as a stray, and definitely been through alot She has her forever home with me now. Friends of felines took such good care of her, and I couldn't be more thankful. She's gotten me through some very difficult times, and she's truly apart of my heart now I don't donate to many places because so many people are corrupt nowadays.... But please donate to this place. They are pure of heart and are doing amazing things for these kitties. ❤️ Please enjoy the pictures of my little crazy cat queen ????

Have gotten all my cats there over a period of about 20 years. Got my current cat from the Humane Society. Wasn't happy with them AT ALL!!! They gave conflicting information about her age, weight and didn't tell me she has a quick temper. Found out about that when I was able to read the vet's notes from after her being spaded. They won't let you read ANY information while there. They tell you to wait and read it when you get home. If I had known she had a quick temper I would've NEVER adopted her!!! If possible, I'll buy ALL my cats from Friends of Felines ONLY!!!

The folks at SFoF were incredible! While there all precautions for the safety of the cats were clearly explained and the atmosphere was very welcoming. All the kitties appeared happy and well cared for. All staff seemed genuinely happy to be there. After playing with all the adorable kittens we welcomed some a couple into our family. It'd been a few decades since I last adopted a kitten. SFoF walked me through the process clearly and concisely, making sure I was not left with any questions. I'm left understanding why when I showed interest in adopting some kittens after our last family cat passed away everyone I talked to suggested Salem Friends of Felines.

I went to SFOF to adopt a cat after losing my 15 year old cat from cancer. The girl that took our application noted that I was unsure about whether or not I would declaw, and proceeded to tell me how awful I am for considering such a thing. Please avoid going here unless you want to be publicly shamed.

It’s always a joy visiting the kitties! The staff are so nice about letting my younger cousins and I just sit in the rooms with the cats for extended periods.

I really miss Jeanie and her caring personality...it will be remembered and I hope it inspires those that work there...to not give up hope. It's a tough but rewarding job. Shine on????
