We recently had to have our black lab Zoei put to sleep and everyone was so amazing and compassionate. Will definitely be our permanent vet.

Update: So bad service! They didn’t call me to cancel my appointment and when I showed up they just said the doctor was busy! >They are saying they “try to call me” but it is not true. When I call to make an appointment the lady took my new phone number and she said she will put it in the system. And I never called to reschedule my appointment. That is not true. Days later, the manager called (while I was at work) demanding me to change my post on here. She was really upset for the things I said about their bad service. As I said, I was at work, super busy, and I couldn’t tolerate someone talking to me like that so I had to finish the call.

The receptionist had zero compassion for my situation and was exceptionally rude. I ended up crying by the end of the call and was not helped whatsoever. Terrible phone etiquette!

I trust these folks with my dog and my cat. Staff is very kind and the office manager, Mekeesha, is just wonderful. Prices are very comparable (and cheaper in some cases) than other offices in the area.

I would never recommend you take your injured pet here, especially not for x-rays. The true costs will not be disclosed to you. I had a truly awful experience with this vet, namely Dr. Supan who lacked empathy, professionalism and competence in dealing with my old dog who was in extreme pain. We were told to do x-rays so that they could understand what was going on with my dog’s injured leg--she is old and had fallen down the stairs and had a visible leg bump after this. Unfortunately, $450 later and after x-rays I was told I need to pay $200 more because Dr. Supan “didn’t know what she was seeing but didn’t like it.” She told me she did not know if she was seeing a bone fracture, a ligament tear, or maybe tumors in the bones. I felt manipulated having paid $450 already and was not told of the possibility that they would need to send the x-rays off to a specialist to see anything/get an answer to my dog’s pain. This cost was never disclosed at the outset and I was told the vet would learn more from the x-rays. I had gotten my dog x-rays here once before and had the same situation happen where they took an x-ray and charged hundreds more because the vets could not read it. While I understand there may be situations where the x-rays need to be sent off, the fact that this happened twice without disclosure of the costs was shocking. They could have easily said, there is a possibility our vets cannot read the x-ray and we’ll have to send it to a specialist to get you an answer, that may have changed my mind about doing them in the first place. I requested that they cover the fee to have the x-rays read because this was the second time this situation happened within 6 months. Dr. Supan was extremely aggressive when I requested this. She got very defensive saying that she did see something from the x-ray and that it was now either “cancer or a fungal infection that may be causing her cough too.” She said this in such a rude aggressive tone because she was upset that I asked for them to cover the fee, taking no care that this is my dear animal and hearing that she may have cancer is not easy. My dog had already been diagnosed with a hiatal hernia at West Eugene Animal Hospital and that is why she has a cough. So I was shocked to hear that she now thought it might be from cancer or a fungal infection causing the cough. Please note I took my dog in for an actual, visible injury on her leg. Dr. Supan clearly didn’t review her file ahead of time to understand my dog’s cough. She threw out 5 different and unrelated possibilities about what could be going on with my pet that were not informed by the x-ray, because as she said herself she "didn't know what she was seeing." I was also appalled that despite suggesting my dog has a systemic fungal infection from her leg bones to her lungs that she was telling me to give her prednisone, a drug known to dampen the immune response. This would have made a fungal infection so much worse and further endanger my pet if she truly had a fungal infection. I’m so upset and disappointed in my experience here and feel extremely taken advantage of. While I appreciated speaking to the office manager West Eugene Animal Hospital did not cover the fee.

I was able to get my cat in for an urgent drop off visit. They explained everything clearly and offered options without pressure.

My ten year old chocolate lab was vomiting for two days and they were able to get me in for a radiograph same day on a Saturday, no wait to see the vet, I didn’t have to wait in office for imaging and was able to go home and get things done while they worked and it was significantly cheaper than the emergency vet! By far the easiest experience I’ve ever had in a pinch. Highly recommend!!

I waited 2 weeks. They will only wait 15 minutes. I hit traffic on the way to my 5pm appointment, arrived late, waited another 5 minutes in lobby to check in to be told i was too late and would have to reschedule for another week away. I will be finding a new vet for my 2 pups.

WEAH is the best vet I have ever been to. My dogs Abbey and Seager love them. They have always been there for them. They are also so affordable. I have often been scared about potential bills to find WEAH blows me away with their rates. Love this place

Vet's and vet techs are burnt out due to the craziness of the pandemic. I get it, but they almost let two of my animals die saying they were "fine". Being burned out doesn't mean that you don't have to look into a condition further because you don't feel like it. They clearly need to take time off work. I found out my dog has fluid on her lungs and a severe heart condition. That is not "fine". She suffered for 2.5 weeks because I trusted what they said here and she still might pass away.. I will never return and I hope you don't either.

Will be returning with all my animals, brought my four year old boxer in a new patient for her limp and wasn’t fully able to explain where and what was causing her pain, everyone was sweet, professional and helpful, not to mention affordable. They were able to figure out the issue quickly and prescribed her medication, it’s day two and she’s already acting like a new dog

My husband and I spent hours this morning calling them, noone answered the phone. We thought, we just swing by, and they did give us an appt. We showed up 15 mins prior to the appointment and called, and after about 10 minutes of it saying there was a high volume of check-ins, finally got through. They told us they would be right out with some paperwork, and then we watched for 40 mins as they went to all the other cars around us. We waved to signal, and they just said hi and kept walking. My cat was increasingly getting more scared and upset. He was showing signs of heat stroke, and being in pain from his injury. After waiting for until 4:00pm.We just went home. They had the audacity to call and try to reschedule explaining they had "other" emergencies" Got It, my animal's emergency is not important to you, clearly. As I have read other google reviews, that states, this kind of thing happens quite often, you may want to stop making excuses, and truly take a look at why you are "so busy". Better yet, the next time someone comes to you with an emergency and you can't accommodate them, tell them that, give a referral, or at the very least just say, we can't do it. So that I am not wasting my time waiting. So no, West Eugene Animal Hospital, I don't want to reschedule, I want to find a professional Emergency vet in the area.

My cat's foot was swelling up due to an infection. I was able to get him in the day I called. They fixed up my baby and he fell in love with all the people at West Eugene Animal Hospital ❤ My cat's name is Batman

They always come out in a timely fashion, since we have to be in our cars per covid. They are also always friendly.

They staff are friendly and helpful. The delay in treatment because after waiting 2 months due to Covid cost me an extra $79 because she was supposedly in heat but had they done it at the time of the exam I wouldn't have had that charge. Everyone is having difficulty due to Covid and I most definitely did not have the extra money since the eviction moratorium has had me paying for mortgage, home repairs and rent. No they didn't call to tell me that she was ingest and I called twice before picking her up. It was only on arrival she was supposedly in heat. She's not not my puppy and no one in the family saw any signs of her being in heat

I was expecting to get a bill because i have never not once went into a place and not had to pay for something. I paid nothing for a lot of knowledge that was shared with me by Craig. You don’t see that anymore, they genuinely care about your animal and your expensive’s. I felt like the world is a better place after all when leaving the parking lot with confidence that my husky was okay and I knew what to do to better her symptoms without paying a dime. Thank you for being a true veterinarian Craig. I choose Craig to take my husky to anytime I may need expert advice and care. No more searching for the right vet cause I found them here at Eugene animal city view Eugene. Can’t thank them enough for being real.

The vet came outside and gave milo his oral vaccine and his booster right outside! It was convenient as my pup has some anxiety surrounding the vet. I appreciate all that you do! Also since my pup is a pitbull, he’s usually treated 50/50, but the folks at this location always say he’s such a good boy

They are very unprofessional, made an appointment. Manager claims they don't want to see my dog. Front desk was "putting off" calling me back to tell me I wouldn't be seen. Effectively putting my dogs life at risk. I have no issue with not wanting to see us but putting off calling because you knew I would be upset is just unprofessional. I wouldn't have been upset if you would have called back. You didn't. I had to call and check to see if I could be moved up. I was then told I wouldn't be seen altogether. If you care about your animal do not take them here.

Would be great if they stopped taking on new clients. West Eugene was amazing when we first transferred over to them late 2020. Their receptionists were always kind and cheerful on the phone and in person. However, recently, they have been so busy! I understand covid can cause issues with how they do things normally but we transferred over to them during covid and never had any issues until recently. When a clinic starts to take on more clients, you just become a dollar sign and they don't care for you anymore. Lately, they sound stressed and agitated over the phone and never have any available vet appointments for weeks out. Almost rude on the phone sometimes as well. I personally don't like going to vets this big as my dogs don't get the care and attention they should be receiving. I'm sure other pet owners are with me on this. Also, if you need to reschedule for any reason, you are basically screwed as they don't have any availability. We have just given up going or even making appointments and will look for a new vet. Side note- we found a new vet but still needed flea medication from West Eugene. When we called, they sounded agitated and said "didn't you request to change vets?" That's pretty much when we knew they didn't care for the well being of our pets and only cared for how many clients they could take on at a time.

I went with Buda before COVID lock down. They were amazing. They helped Buda calm his nerves. The exam was difficult for everyone. But kind and gentle. I felt very blessed to have a confident capable staff handling my husky mix.

I took my puppy here today for her first exam and I couldn't be more pleased with how it went. The staff was kind, friendly, and professional. They were very thorough with her exam and reviewing her existing records - they even noticed an issue with the timing of some vaccines she had been given at the shelter she came from which allowed us to correct the error. Would highly recommend!

Recently we got into a car accident and unfortunately our lab Otis was with us and the impact was right on his side. He came out sore and limping. Our local vet didn’t have an appointment available to us so I did some research and went with WEAH and they got us in same day! Otis also has a tendency to be very anxious at the vets office and they took AMAZING care of him. They prescribed him a very nice pain reliever and he’s moving around acting like normal again the next day! I was really expecting a $200+ vet bill but we only had to pay for the meds so that was a awesome plus! These people care about the animals. If you love your pet bring them here!

Came in to get my cat some anxiety meds for an upcoming move to Portland. Staff was kind and courteous, the COVID/outside set up ran really smoothly which was appreciated. Happy with the many options I was offered for my cat, chose two and they weren't too expensive. Thank you!
