They seen my puppy right away. They showed care and concern. They gave me different options for financial purposes. My puppy is healthy and thriving because of RIVER'S EDGE PET MEDICAL CENTER.

It was NYE and I had a sick new 3 month old puppy. No one in Eugene would see us. I got an appointment here and gladly drove to Albany!! They were responsive, kind, reassuring and greatly relieved our worries for severe problems that got us through the holiday weekend. I appreciated all they did!! It was all very reasonable for the charges as well!! Thank you!! If I lived in Albany they would be my choice for a vet!!

Long wait list for spay and neuter but otherwise outstanding. Very knowledgeable and always helpful. Quick and easy for flea meds and first shots for both our cat and dog.

On a Sunday morning I could not find 1 vet clinic or vet hospital to help me with my pet from Eugene to Salem, except for River's Edge. They were professional and got me an appointment immediately. Throughout the time of the appointment they kept me well informed/updated. They never tried to do unnecessary tests and quickly found a solution to help. Everyone was friendly and accommodating. I even saved money and time not having to go to an emergency clinic on a Sunday and wait 4 to 8 hours not knowing if I would get seen or having to drive to Salem from Eugene area, also no emergency clinic prices. This is the place to go, they show compassion and professionalism.

I know sometimes the people who are unhappy with a service speak louder than those who are very happy. I have gone to Rivers Edge Pet Medical Center for 10 years. My precious to me animals have always been so well taken care of. Two have passed on and that was dealt with in a caring, loving manner. The entire staff at the clinic has always been caring towards my animals. The clinic has been open 24/7 for 15 years, even in the middle of COVID. Definitely a very hard working staff. Over the years, the Gray family has become very close to the Jones family. I see and know they show compassion for all animals. It also goes beyond to their support in this community as well. Their clinic supports and contributes to Safehaven, the ABC house, Soroptomist, Albany Boys and Girls Club, the Firewood Love Inc Ministry, and Casa to name a few. They care about their staff, flying them to wherever in the United States they need to be to care for family members or be there in case of death. This is a family run business. I encourage those of you who have had a positive experience at Rivers Edge Pet Medical Center to speak up as well. A few kind words and encouragement go a long way in this world.

I'm really thankful they took us in today. With it being Sunday, everywhere else in a 90+ mile radius (from Eugene) was either closed or had a 6+ hr wait. Dr. Gibson was very sweet and extremely communicative about everything going on with my dog, Havoc. I would highly recommend the team to take care of your pets last minute needs or routine checkups. Thank you River's Edge Team!!! ????

Our family cat became very sick and needed emergent treatment. We drove from Springfield to River's Edge after they were highly recommended by a friend. The staff and Veterinarians we worked with were very understanding and compassionate. They also kept us informed and took the time to answer our questions when we called to check in. We would highly recommend them for anyone looking to make sure their pet is in good hands. Thank you to the team at River's Edge Pet Medical Center!

I took my neighbor there for her sick cat Loki last night. These people went above and beyond not only for Loki but for my neighbor who was absolutely distraught with worry. They were direct, knowledgeable & just all around wonderful! I will definitely be taking my animals to them in future! This is the place to go if your fur baby is in need of medical attention!

Despite an abundance of negative reviews, I took my French Bulldog in for treatment at River's Edge as her regular vet couldn't see her for several days. Many of the reviews were about excessive cost though in my experience, you'd truly be putting your pet at risk with these clowns. The 'check in' staff person came to the car and placed a rope around my dog's neck and proceeded to drag her into the clinic. My dog was anxious and, like a lot of Frenchies, stubborn. The neck device was tightening and choking my dog as the staff member continued to tug on her. I intervened, asking if she would use the harness as Frenchies are vulnerable not only in their neck areas and sometimes with respiration. The staff member refused that simple request and even refused to allow me inside to take my dog to the exam room. I was properly wearing a mask and am fully vaccinated. It was so concerning that their staff would literally mistreat my dog in my presence that I could not stand the idea of how they would likely treat her 'behind closed doors'. The staff clearly showed a lack of knowledge about my dog's needs and definitely no empathy for her anxiety or the owner's need to comfort her. Ridiculous overkill on the COVID protocol and completely unprofessional. At the peak of the pandemic, her regular vet welcomed me into the clinic to reduce my dog's anxiety, knowing full well that she would be easier to treat if she was calm. The manager with whom I spoke some time later provided a rote explanation that was of little relevance and no consolation. I will never allow them near my little girl again.

The best! I brought my cat here because I thought she had an infected ingrown nail and they were so kind to spend their Sunday (and their Halloween) helping my cat! They were able to get her fixed up very quickly! They were very kind to both myself and my cat!

My kitten has ringworm and when I brought him in to get medication they told me it was a rash and gave me a different cream. Two days later my kitten is dying and COVERED in ringworm. I paid them 300$ to nearly kill my pet. Not to mention the receptionist was rude and the doctor used phrases like “I don’t know, maybe, it could be”. They are definitely in it for the money, not your pets well being. DO NOT RECOMMEND

Had to bring my long-time furry best friend in when her old-age symptoms finally became too much for a good quality of life because my regular Vet wouldn't make an appt. for me. River's Edge staff was very empathetic, efficient and professional. Although the euthanasia experience is difficult, the staff made the experience more tolerable and were supportive. Will be switching to have them be the primary vet. for my other animals

Great people, great service. They were very nice to my cat, and they gave her the things she needed. We had to come here all the way from Eugene because all the other pet hospitals were full. My cat was very happy after receiving treatments.

Over charged and told we needed a fully sedated surgery for lacerations on her side that were easily patched up using Staples and flush by another vet Clinic. After multiple attempts at charging us through the roof ,I began to feel more like I was paying a randsom to get my pup back, than antibiotics for $159.00. it wasn't until calling 30 minutes after my initial check in that I was then put on hold , and left there until someone finally came out to speak to me or see my dog. I do not recommend this place at all, and won't be surprised if they start to charge for parking.

Dr. Holloman and River's Edge staff took care of my 12 1/2 year old lab on an emergency basis last week. Everyone I interacted with, from receptionist to assistants, to the doctor herself were compassionate, professional and extremely helpful. I would recommend their services to anyone.

River’s Edge used to have top quality care. Not anymore. They are understaffed, and their concern for the comfort and well being of our pet caused us to be very upset. The doc, while knowledgeable, was very cold and seemed to put the actual patient, out pet, at the bottom of his priority list.

We took our cat there spent over 600 for a urinary track infection. They put him on a special diet. The lady who brought him to the car said here is the special prescription food. Told us how to order it online, because they don't always have it in stock. Yes and even told us do this before you run out because it can take time. I kept getting my order online canceled. My husband was supposed to call them and ask what the heck. I asked him where it was and he had forgotten. Understandable can not blame anyone these days. So I called and left a message. When I received the call back. (first let me tell you I understand everyone is attitude driven these days) What happened to wanting to help? And I was on a recording zoom call and was on speaker phone. My company was shocked. The female who called me back was so rude. First she kept going, I don't have you as a patient. I was like well you sure had my card. Well the number I called doesn't bring anything up. I gave her my husband number... Oh that's because you were an ER patient. Can I come get the prescription. No... You have to go to your vet, and they can get the records from us. So I had to pay 600, but I then have to go pay for a vet visit. Which that is fine, but it takes time to get a vet appointment. Then you have to order the food. Thank goodness my vet is amazing and gave me an alternative. I will let everyone know. If you care about your animal do not go to an office that only care about money, and do not teach customer service.

Thank you for making the time/appt you didn't have so I could put my 20 year old cat down today and end her pain and let me be there with her during covid restriction. You were all very considerate.

After calling 12 other vets/emergency vets from Portland down to Albany and being told they were full or had a 6+ hour wait, River’s Edge was happy to accommodate me and my cat. I called ahead and very soon after I pulled up they had me fill out some forms and took my cat in for his exam. The veterinarian came out to explain what he thought the situation was and what next steps to take. All the staff was very patient and took the time to fully understand what was going on. I cannot recommend this place enough, they even called several days later to check up on how my cat was doing.

I’ve taken my cats here several times now in the last couple of months. While the wait time is usually pretty slow, the techs and vets are absolutely phenomenal. I’ve had to bring my cat in at 2AM after it was attacked, and they were compassionate and caring. My cat was seen immediately, and treated accordingly. They followed up the next couple of days as well to check on her. Because of COVID, the pet owners are restricted to their car, but on two separate occasions, the vet himself came out and explained, in detail, how the appointment went. The pricing here is actually pretty reasonable as well. Once, I was estimated $1200, but was reimbursed $450 for treatment that was not needed. I would absolutely recommend this facility, 100%, to anybody.

They got my cat (who had never been seen there before) in for an emergency visit last minute. Did the tests and exam I was hoping for and did an estimate of each procedure before moving forward. Very reasonable rates for emergency services.

Please take your business elsewhere, I would recommend any other vet clinic. They are overwhelmed and do not care if you do go elsewhere, in fact I was told that by whomever answers the phone. My three cats have been patients at this vet clinic for about 3 years. I’ve never had issues with them until recently. Today I was spoke over, yelled at, and hung up on when I expressed feeling disappointed in how I was being treated just trying to get my cat help. I’m so disappointed in how unprofessional the person I spoke with was I will be taking all of my cats elsewhere and letting all of my family and friends know to do the same. What a shame Rivers Edge.

The team was amazing and got my dog in for an urgent care visit. I appreciate the great communication while waiting curb side and she was treated so fast. I was advised ahead of time there would be a wait if an emergency came in. ( I would want an urgent pet to go ahead of my dog with an ear infection.) We received great aftercare documentation and directions. Highly recommend them for your pets needs.

Unfortunately I had to put my big boy to sleep recently. They were extremely courteous and paitent with me even though I couldn't keep it together. They all made this sad transition a lot easier and I was able to be with my baby until he crossed.

I read through the reviews and was a little nervous because there are some bad ones; however I had a great experience. I live in Eugene, but the emergency vet was not taking patients and referred me here. I will most likely drive the extra distance from now on. I got here early and they checked my did in right away. I was there for about 1 1/2 hours which is OUTSTANDING for an emergency visit in my opinion. The staff was very friendly.

Nothing but good words for this place. If it was closer to me, I would use them as my normal vet. I took my dog to them on emergency because my current vet hasn't returned my calls. The staff was so kind. They made sure I was educated and understood all of my options and several weeks later, I have had no trouble contacting them. You will not regret taking your animal here, as they will receive the greatest care.
