I always credit The Training Spot when people comment on what an awesome dog that I have. We have been going to classes and private sessions since I got him as an 8 week puppy. As a 1st time puppy-mom I needed a lot of training. A new puppy can be stressful and it would be a highlight of our week to go there and feel supported. My puppy-dog is now 9 months and we continue to go to classes - he loves it! I've recommended the Training Spot to others with puppies or challenging dogs and everyone has had a positive experience with their positive approach training.

Heard some excellent personal recommendations and checked out the website and location. Ended up getting four sessions with a trainer for a very large puppy. The private rooms and training spaces are well equipped and the staff is friendly. Multiple people voluntarily helped as we were practicing greeting strangers. I was also emailed a summary and tips after every session.. This place was what I was looking for.

Excellent safety protocols for COVID, huge training space, sweet dog loving trainers who are gentle and well versed in speaking "dog". And good at training the people, too. I've had two trainers and both were swell!

Good atmosphere, cool spot and decor, fun trainers

There is not enough words to describe how wonderful our experience was. Katie was amazing, and even through social distancing she rose like a rockstar! Although we were unable to continue meeting for class in person she arranged to continue online and was phenomenal. Katie made sure we all had individualized attention, and was sure to answer any question that arose. Lu officially "graduated" training 101 about 15 minutes ago and I surely will be signing her up for the next session even if it needs to continue through online during our isolation! We have had the best experience with our trainers at Training Spot--even during a pandemic. They make sure everything is super safe and provide individualized support for our needs.

My pit puppy and I have benefited greatly from our 1:1 training with Jen. She has offered many valuable lessons and tools that are tailored to fit the lifestyle we live. All of our lessons have included email follow up and check ins. The facility is easy to find, nice & clean!

Lauren is an excellent teacher! We loved the puppy classes with our miniature dachshund.

I cannot say enough good things about the Training Spot! It kills me to think about how much time and money I could’ve saved if I would’ve went here first! The entire staff is friendly and helpful and truly cares about each pooch that walks in that door! I recommend Training Spot to absolutely EVERYONE! I love how intelligently the private training is structured (I trained with Tera, she is AMAZING!). We started with discussions and tips while my dog’s behavior was monitored, and we progressed to practicing training techniques, and then to actually applying them in appropriate situations. It wasn’t just directions, it was WHY we were doing this and how it would help. Everything is just miles above and beyond all the other trainings we tried! I have seen so many positive changes in my dog. We’re both happier and less stressed, our lives have been changed for the better! Thank you Training Spot!

I had a pretty good experience at training spot except I missed a class for a funeral and no one would take 5 minutes to catch me up on the leash lesson. Super disappointed to end the class like this. :(. They also changed the schedule mid class so I missed the last lesson.

There is nice staff that are willing to help you with your animal that you love so much

Sweet, fun, friendly and knowledgeable!

Extremely unhappy with the training spot. We paid the fees and were on time for our appointment. We were supposed to fill out some paperwork beforehand which they were supposed to email to us. They emailed it to the wrong email account and even though we showed up very early to be able to fill it out they canceled our appointment and wanted us to reschedule our appointment. My wife and I both took off early from work and they would not work with us. Let me be very clear this was all their fault. Asked for a refund and we are not going back there. They offered no excuse. The blond woman was rude and I don’t recommend this place to anyone.

The Training Spot structures their classes in a way I hadn't seen before. It has been super helpful for my dog to learn to to calm down. We've only gone through the first series of classes and she already is getting better at calming down around people she would normally be all over. And Lauren is a wonderful trainer, fun and relatable which is a hard thing to come by sometimes in dog trainers.

Great place to take dogs within the city limits

We have been thrilled with our experience at Training Spot. Keanna is absolutely AMAZING! She is so kind, so patient and so knowledge. She is one of those special kinds of humans that just makes you smile. We enrolled our baby Leo in classes right away and it was the best decision we could have made. Leo LOVES coming to class and he learns so quickly! Keanna keeps things, short, simple and fun for the puppies. She also introduced Leo to his first bestfriend! She puts a lot of thought into the arrangement of the puppy stations by placing you next to puppies that she believes would be a good fit - she was spot on! Our "neighbor" in class is a sweet puppy named Eddie. Eddie and Leo have been bestfriends from the moment they met and it is so much fun to watch them play! Leo will be graduating PUP1 next week and we will be taking advantage of every course they have to offer! We truly feel confident that with the help and guidance of Training Spot, we are providing Leo with all of the skills that he needs to be the very best person he can be!

They care about both you and your dog. They set you up to succeed and are very genuine. Each trainer is passionate about each and every person who walks in!!

My experience of puppy classes here has been top notch. I have a pup who is shy and nervous - unlike all the other ebullient pups who were in the class. The trainers took the time every class to give me what I needed to train my pup despite the fact that it was different instruction than the rest of the pups. They were very attentive to our needs, provided detailed class notes via email after every class, and answered questions via email in a prompt and helpful way. I highly recommend their puppy classes.

Excellent training facility with awesome staff!

I have been taking my golden retriever to the Training Spot. The place is friendly, clean and fun. My golden received his trick dog title under Lauren Merge. My Springer puppy is just getting started. I highly recommend this type of training, especially for helping puppies become nice well mannered dogs.

We have done 2 classes with our pup and we are planning more!! So knowledgeable and caring about helping take care of our boy!

All the trainers are great to work with. They truly love what they do and love all dogs. I have worked my way from the puppy classes into the dog classes and cannot wait to continue working with everyone.

Our second class at training spot! This time led by Lauren. Excellent facility, great advice and techniques, and real dedication to our fur kids! Not to mention the two-legged ones, of whom there were quite a few at each class.

Having been a client for several months, I feel I can now write a more informed review. We have had a great experience with both the classes as well as private lessons. When we adopted our rescue, she had some behaviors that were an issue. Jen worked with us to address our immediate concerns, helping to train both our dog and us (we needed it just as much!). We also love the classes and the fact that the instructors are flexible; ensuring that the dogs and their owners are always comfortable and confident.
