We had our first introduction to vet Terri Sue, for very sad reasons. This woman came in to our home, greeted both of us, and promptly got down on the floor with our pet. She was kind, gentle, and respectful. After that, over the years, we had more sad meetings. When we adopted a puppy, we agreed that this pet would start out with her vet care. Yes, it is spendy. Just like our dr. Appointments. But she still, really LOOKS at your pets health, does a body check while petting your dog. The animal is at ease, she is at ease. She does not rush. She is a wonderful vet. And her staff is very kind and helpful. She does believe in a better, healthier pet food, but she also is ready to give you options with the food you want to use. I will say, I love the results of this pup and her diet. Come with your questions . Be prepared to pay a little more. You will find, you don’t need to have so many appointments. And some can just be via the phone. Also a charge, but not bad. I recommend balance vet, and trust them.

Teri-Sue Wright, of Balance Veterinary Care, has been our vet for forever, I guess! She has helped us care for our this-far two cats, both long-lived thanks in part, to her! Our Elder Kitty now is twenty, and doing well, and we are so thankful to her as well, fit her tender care of our older cat, who she helped leave this world when his life became too tenuous and no longer of good quality. That was so tough a decision… And now we have a little puppy who has just begun his care with her and he is thriving! She helped steer us to more beneficial foods for him, which he loves, and he will flourish under her care, we know! We are so thankful we were introduced to her care for our four legged family members! Oh, and other word terms we would use are: Caring, Supportive, Loving, and Wonderful Staff!

This vet is okay for the most part. However, communication has really been lacking lately. I've left multiple voicemails to try to get my cats scheduled for their annual exams with no response. It has been weeks. Unfortunately, I have to move my cats to another vet if this continues.

With a new 11 week old puppy in my home I want to make a change towards more holistic care for her and avoid the chemically based care my previous dogs received at conventional veterinarians. Dr. Teri Sue came highly recommended by several …

I can’t praise this place highly enough. Caring, prompt service, respectful, conscientious and considerate. Absolutely fabulous! The staff is absolutely wonderful, a real reflection on Teri Sue. Marvelous human beings. I’ve never had a bad experience here in anyway.

Dr. Wright is hands-down the most gifted provider I have ever met. Her savvy and medical intuition is well-matched with her intelligence and expertise. Even though I now live hundreds of miles from her office, her phone consults are head-and-shoulders better than any in person care I have in my area.

My experience at BVC was when I got my puppy during covid. I had an appointment there but had an agreement with the breeder to see the vet within 5 days of picking him up, so I took him to the conventional vet where he got his first scheduled shots. He had a nasty reaction to a shot which I later found was an optional shot. I subsequently went to the holistic vet to be alerted to this fact along with everything I asked being answered in a professional and helpful way. Many visits later, I’m thrilled to have this relationship with our vet. Great staff!

Allow me to preface my review by stating that I DO, in fact, realize this was a "holistic" vet care establishment so I was prepared to get schooled on the highest store bought kibble we've been feeding our dog vs. Her alternative which consisted of a regimine of eating___ Thorough out her drawn out lecture she spoke at nauseum while scolding us for feeding our dog regular high quality food from a grocerydog store. Meanwhile, she completely negated our concerns and the purpose for the visit. My dog had a sore hot spot on the he right í⁹⁰iside of his face, he's required to recieve his annual 3 shots and I wanted his nails trimmed. NONE of this Sure, she assessed his hit spot and strongly recommended not one but 3 products to use for one hit spot. The majority of her time which was not charged by the visit but by the time she spent with you and the dog. I have a young pretty excitable Belgian Sheppard (she insisted he was a husky which he clearly is not) and fir being a vet and kinda losing her patience and temper with him was quite a red flag to begin with. It was blatantly clear she didn't have a way with dogs and even told us she gave one away bc it was too much work. You could tell by the way she treated him she didnt like him. Then when we disciplined she didn't suggested she insisted for us to not use negative reinforcement at all only positive which we use both its was as if she insisted her way was the best way abd we were doing it all wrong. The thing we totally didn't care for was how she went on and on for the majority of the visit lecturing us on not only feeding our dog organic no! She insisted we needed to give our dog grass fed prebiotic She went on at nauseum about how she hates kibble and we basically needed to fix him a serving of human food at every meal directly from farm to table and all organic of course. We had to special order this raw meat diet and chicken feet liver, cow esphogus abd heart. I asked where do we find these things and she replied from the farms I have listed on the handouts I gave you were you not paying attention? It was if we were getting schooled exept we were inundated with a plethora of information no on could possibly keep up with to which she replied snobbish thats what the handouts were for. In between her overwhelming us with info as to how what were feeding our dog was basically poison and how we needed to adopt this regimented holistic diet the only way to achieve optimum health of our dog. She complained how hyperactive our dog was at the same time she scolded me fir trying to ruin him in and discipline him which I do kindly and effectively. So at the end we were charged a whopping $160 for 45 mins of her time and she wound up only completing one of 3 assessments we came there for. She told us to put him on the diet for 5 weeks before she'll give him the shots. She said wed have to schedule a separate appointment to have his nails trimmed bc he needed to be anesthetized bc she couldn't control him and quite frankly he didn't seem to care fir her very much. She advised we purchase not one but 3 products for my dogs hit spots soap, oil and salve which I thought was overkill. Grand total for her services plus products she forced on us like a used car sales person $286 for one initial visit. And all she accomplished doing was lecturing us about how we needed to feed our dogs people food thats farm to table and it damn well better be grass fed to save the planet. The entire time we felt Orestes degraded and lectured at like a child. And we were expected to keep up with an overwhelming amount of information we couldn't possibly comprehend with one run thru. I dont recommend using needd our not only dog people food and highly expensive

Dr. Teri Sue is wonderful. She was very caring about my cat Sirius' health... and worked together with me to help him heal. She was extremely helpful & didn't try to sell me tons of extra things, like unfortunately most other veterinarians do... she actually was doing things from the heart & love for animals, rather than just to make an extra buck...which i've seen in multiple other local vets. Teri Sue is also very intuitive & has a holistic approach, and puts that first, which I feel is most important to take that approach whenever we can, until further action is needed. She is beautifully balanced between science & intuition, intelligence & the heart. She sees the importance in diet & understands how so much is connected between environment, internal worlds & outer worlds & has lots of wisdom to share. She helped my cat heal from a really scary respiratory infection. I highly recommend her for many reasons! She's also very receptive, listens and is humble...balanced with being very educated & does her research. She's the best vet I've ever had for any of my pets.

This is hands down the best holistic vet in town. TeriSue and the office is amazing. I recommend her all the time. She gives amazing care to all my dogs, and me too! I learn from her all the time about holistic care. :) She has helped me with my diabetic dog in extending her life and sight as well as other minor issues in my pack. All with a positive outcome. They all truly care about your animals, and having her come to the house and she sits on the floor and examines the pet while the others are kissing her is just heart warming and makes them feel so comfortable, as well as me. :) I just can't recommend her enough.

Dr Teri Sue save my dogs life. He had hot spots that were getting worse. She had us move him over to Answers dog food, treated the wounds and provided excellent care. She was available for phone calls and appointments as needed. I highly recommend Dr Teri Sue!

Teri Sue is my ideal version of a vet in every way. She came to our home to put our last dog down & it was the most sacred, tender and unrushed experience. That was ten years ago. Now we have a new fur baby & SOOO glad she's still …
