Excellent trainers. Kind with the dogs. Strategies work. Strong covid protocols.

The Wonder Dogs instructors are all credentialed and very knowledgeable about dog behavior. Their training philosophy is about positive behavior modification and the dogs benefit accordingly. Of course, most of the training takes place at home and our dog has made significant gains.

I had the pleasure of working with Jenn for a private freestyle lesson. I am so impressed with her teaching style and the amount of knowledge we received. I've worked with many trainers and Jenn is a true gem! She is great at teaching both the dog and human learner- helping us get the best out of each other.

I am so grateful for the training my dog and I have gotten through Wonder Dogs. I got my pup at 4 months, he is a rescue and had some problems with resource guarding and settling down (among other things). I took him to Puppy 2, several private lessons and Essentials 1 (moving away now or else we would continue). Lisa and Jenn both care so much and it really shows through the way they interact with both the dogs and humans at Wonder Dogs. They are always able to answer additional questions, clarify a training protocol and even demonstrate at class. They both sent me detailed follow up emails after my private sessions with additional resources. My pup is well on his way to being a wonderful companion and our experience at Wonder Dogs has been extremely valuable! Thank you so much Wonder Dogs!!!

Wonder Dogs has been a great resource for our fearful and dog-reactive adopted heeler. We had a private consult with Jenn and took the 8 week S.T.A.R. class with Bridget. Both of these sessions provided us with valuable information as to why we were seeing the behaviors and how to successfully modify them using science-based and compassionate methods. With a lot of effort, patience, and training our dog Yogi has made immense progress over time, including being able to hike with dog friends and safely and confidently meet and bond with new humans. Reducing his anxieties and building his confidence has been so rewarding for us. Wonder Dogs is an amazing resource! Thank you for all of your help, for us and for the dogs in our community. It hurts to see people routinely using and recommending aversive and punishment-based methods, so we're so glad Wonder Dogs is helping educate and teach about a kinder (and more effective) way. Highly recommend Wonder Dogs to anyone for help with basic training to more advanced behavior modification.

First of all, their address for my GPS keeps taking me to this random place in a forest...The 2 times I went to class I was late because of this. Apparently this has happened to other people too!! Someone else in the class told me it happened to them several times. I told the trainer there and she couldn't care less. I apologized about being late...I told her I was late because I got lost due to the GPS and she came back saying "Oh yes I'm sure you did." With a sarcastic sort of tone. I felt so awkward here! The trainers were knowledgeable sure, but their way of doing things was very strange in my opinion. They had everyone in the class out super far away from each other in the corners of the large gymnasium-like room so the trainer had to shout out instructions and they just expected us to understand everything right off the bat. My puppy unfortunately can be difficult and she was very anxious in this situation since everyone was so far away and she wanted to meet and greet...But the trainers just put a wall up to block her from seeing anyone. ( which I do understand but they didn't even ask me first or say anything...I felt like my puppy was kind of being treated like a problem child...lol. ) The trainers also saw me struggling with my puppy and did nothing to help...( Isn't that what they are there for? ) They just expected me to know exactly what I was doing...They didn't give me any advice or anything and just kept on teaching as if they were reading a script and just couldn't be interupted. Honestly I go to training classes at Petco and they are MUCH more personal, caring and compassionate about my puppy and I....and actually take the time to help me even in a group class! I would 100 times recommend Petco before Wonderdogs. Honestly I could have watched a YouTube video and gotten a better experience than these classes, not only that but they charge a fortune to shout the lesson at you and do nothing on a personal level....or maybe they just didn't like my puppy because she was a little disruptive and not a perfectly trained dog like they were expecting. I was actually recommended Wonderdogs by my vet and honestly I would never recommend this place to anyone, in fact I would only recommend you DON'T go here...you could watch an internet video on dog training for FREE and learn much more....or go to Petco in Kaiser and ask for Kayla. She is an amazing trainer and actually cares about you and your dog. Thanks for reading my review!

Wonder dogs offers so many great options, from puppy classes and socialization opportunities (really important), to behavioral consultations, and more advanced skills training. They have really helped our pup become more confident on walks and around strangers (dogs, people, places). His barking and growling has nearly complete resided on walks since we started practicing what we leaned from the behavioral specialist, Jenn. Also, everyone here really listens to what you are looking for and helps to create that relationship with you dog. I definitely recommend taking a look at what wonder dogs offers and contacting them.

Every single trainer that we have encountered at WonderDogs is incredible. We have taken a total of 4 different classes here now with our 1.5 year old PitBull pup. She has come so far when it comes to her overexcitement when encountering other people and dogs. I am so grateful for this place and all of the tools my pup and I have learned. I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone. Thank you, WonderDogs.

Wonder Dogs and their trainers have been absolutely amazing. We have taken several different classes here and have always had a great time. Their instructors are friendly, knowledgeable, and very good at helping people reach their training goals. The most recent class we attended helped resolve some difficult issues that I was unsure how to fix. I am truly thankful for all the awesome training and many fun classes we have taken at Wonder Dogs.

Great option for local dog training classes! I had a hard time finding them the first time... turn south at the PEG sign from West Hills Rd. It's the first building you come to!

Ive worked with Jenn specifically at Wonder Dogs on 2 separate occassions. I signed up for some private training sessions for my now 5 year old Border Collie/Aussie named Riggs. When my husband and I started dating we had to merge our households together including my dog (who used to hate/attack cats) and his cat (who was terrified of dogs) to one home without them killing each other. After working through Jenn's custom step by step plan our pup and kitty are now good friends, get along great, and love each other. Jenn's knowledge, training techniques and easy to follow instructions allowed us to make a smooth transition to a harmonious household and we couldn't be more appreciative and grateful for the service we have received with Wonder Dogs! I am looking forward to taking group classes with Riggs to help focus his high energy and teach him more useful and practical skills to help him channel it. I would highly recommend Wonder Dogs and Jenn to anyone that needs assistance, guidance, and training for their fur babies. Great facility and trainers!

Jenn and her team are absolutely amazing and professional and knowledgeable. We went all the way to Portland for a consult with one of the very few certified behavioral specialists in the area and I can honestly say that I found Jenn's consultation to be much, much more useful with applicable advice and suggestions immediately after the consult. We have enrolled our dogs in her classes and look forward to recommending her team to everyone looking for consults and classes!

Trainer is awesome learning a lot, place is a little hard to find, and parking is small. However the knowledge and training makes up for it.

My husband and I have participated in both Parkour classes, with Lisa, and Nosework training, with Sharon, at Wonder Dogs since late last year. Our 8 yr old Scottish Deerhound and 5 yr old German Shoodle have really enjoyed their time in class with the ladies. The minute we ask our two 90+ lb "boys" if they are ready to go to class they start dancing around us like ballerinas. Then as soon as we get near the turn to the driveway they are wooing their excitement about our reaching class. A definate sign of approval on their part I'd say:)

About a decade ago we worked with Julie who I believe is the owner. Back then we had a great experience with her and she really helped our troubled dog. Recently I contacted Wonder Dogs and was directed to Sharon Gakstatter. The experience couldn't be more frustrating and dissapointing. After a month of trying to schedule a behavior consult through the less than intuitive website, trying to work with Sharon, who has very poor communication skills, she told me there was no times that would work with my schedule. As I'm available every day before 12:30 that was surprising and disappointing. I put a lot of time, effort, and patience into trying to work with them and it was all for nothing. I recommend putting your effort into working with another company that is customer and pet focused. My month long impression is that Sharon has very, very poor customer services skills and in the end would not have been good with our dog as she is terrible with their people.
