I never write reviews. I’ve been going to Alpine for over 40 years since I got my first dog at 19, and they are still the best around in my opinion. The staff members may change but they are always replaced by quality techs, assistants, receptionists, all competent and caring individuals. Dr. Hixon and Dr. Clark are the best and mist whole-hearted vets I have ever met. They have always been honest and forthright and have educated me and my family about all our animals, helping us send many of them over the Rainbow bridge before they could suffer too much. Thank you!

I took 5 cats to Alpine over a 33 year period. I could not have asked for better care for my pets. The staff is excellent and Doctors Clark and Hickson are tremendous doctors who took outstanding care all my cats.

Have used this clinic for nearly 40 years. Caring people, knowledgeable, and they go the extra mile. More affordable than many places I hear about.

Been taking my cat here for over a year. The staff, prices, and treatment are all fantastic. I'm glad I ended up moving to a place where they're my vet clinic. My cat is happy for it too.

Dr Hixson does a great job, and the staff are also amazing. Minnie had her teeth cleaned and a growth on her neck removed. She was doing well when I got her back.

I went by there to see if my dog needed stitches and they weren’t technically open but the doctor was there putting flooring in I believe he said but he still took the time to look my pup over and let me know he was ok and didn’t recommend stitches. He said he probably would have done it for me if he needed it. Just an awesome experience, he was busy and still took the time to look him over. Highly recommend this place.

We had to go through a very sad time having our family dog put to sleep. They were extremely caring, comforting and compassionate! We've been going to them for years because of their friendly manner but this was above and beyond. Thank you Alpine!

This is genuinely the best place to take your animals. Unfortunately, we had to let our beloved pet cross the rainbow bridge, and Dr. Clarke and the staff were every bit as kind and loving as every visit we have had before. They take the animal's situation and well-being into consideration first, and they make sure to align every difficult decision with the human's emotions in mind as well. Rambo was so comfortable there and with them as a formerly long-time feral cat that I was amazed. Seriously. And to know that if he had to die, it was with absolute comfort with his favorite humans (Dr included on that list) and with love from all of us that was legitimately palpable. If you want a vet that is honest, kind, respects your animal family and your human familial emotional/financial/bonded needs, with attention to detail, interest in continually gaining knowledge about all aspects of your pet to help them be as comfortable as possible for everything from yearly checkup to needing treatments, and even in their death, you can't do better than Alpine and their staff.

This is my go to place for all things veterinary related. I need a health certificate for shipping a dog to Canada and they got it prepared without an appointment. No unnecessary tastings or diagnostic workouts to pad your bill.

It seems staff is more comfortable helping dogs and horses, not cats so much. The 2 vets are awesome but other staff isnt always friendly.

Awesome veterinary clinic! The doctors are experienced & work with owners to provide the best care. They've adapted procedures for the pandemic and are organized & operating almost like things are 'normal'. Nail trims are pricey but otherwise, I love the staff and the care my animals receive is excellent!

Alpine Animal is very well run with friendly staff. The Docs are wonderful and they will give you the straight talk on options for your pet. I have been a customer since the 80's and I have always been satisfied with the level of care and attention to detail.

Couldn't ask for a better place to care for my boy, who had a broken leg in two places. Vet had gone thru every possibility to prepare me for Paco's surgery. When things didn't go as planned, vet called to inform me that we will go with option A. But I already knew Paco was in good hands. In the days after surgery I was not expecting a phone call from the vet. He called to reassure me that my boy was doing very well. Those calls settled any anxieties I might have had. I highly recommend bringing your pets to this veterinanian. Very knowledgible, a vet who cares about your pets not the money he can make from you. His staff are very friendly.

We were in the area, from Seattle, visiting family over the 4th of July weekend when we suddenly noticed our dog was peeing blood. We called the closest vet (Alpine Animal Hospital) near my brother-in-law’s house and ended up speaking with Dr. Hixson who came to our dog’s rescue. He put us at ease, gave us some meds for our dog and sent us back to enjoy the long weekend. Dr. Hixson seemed very knowledgeable and provided us with speedy and friendly service at a great price. He even called my husband back later that day to check on our dog’s status. Wow! Can’t thank him enough! Our dog got to enjoy the rest of her weekend too. Thank you, thank you! Highly recommend this vet.

Great vets and staff. They obviously care so much about the animals but are also conscientious of costs for me. I can't imagine going anywhere else.

I had taken my 11 yo service dog to Willamette Animal Hospital a couple months before, gotten unlikely attempts to ferret out what might be ailing him, a suggestion of 700-2000 dollars in blood work, a supposed EKG that supposedly indicated he was well enough to go under general anesthesia to have his teeth cleaned. But that had nothing to do with the problem or symptoms presented. Just two months later, his condition had deteriorated rapidly and It became clear one night that his was a serious, likely grave condition. I took him to Alpine, and the vet was friendly, capable and caring. She palpitated and when she got to where his liver was, there was no hiding the expression or its meaning. I had expected something serious, but for the cancer to be that pronounced that quickly meant, as I feared, it wa time to give my stoic and loyal lifesaver the last act of love by helping him out of the pain he had been enduring. The staff couldn’t have been more caring, considerate or compassionate towards either of us. She did her job well and lovingly; in just a long minute he fell asleep with his head in my lap, and suffered no more. A few weeks later I got a card from the local animal shelter informing me of the contribution Alpine had made in his memory. I went back to Willamette to inform them of their misdiagnosis, in hopes that those two vets might learn from it and perhaps spare another pet a d owner the same pain. The office manager met with me, later calling to inform me that they had determined they had not erred, that things like this sometimes progress rapidly... bit by the time O went to them the first time, symptoms were already presenting. So much for their integrity. When next I had to visit, about a month later, it was to have something checked on with our cat. They started to lead me into the same room where I had said goodbye for the last time to my canine companion, and I balked. The front office worker immediately recognized the problem and took us to a different room. Every veterinarian is a different person, each with his or her own personality and style. I have never heard anything bad said about Alpine, and feel safe trusting my furkids to their expertise. Thank you, Doc, for the caring gentle treatment my pets and I have received with you. I’m sure you know how incredibly hard it has been losing him. Thanks for making it all a little bot easier.
