The Dr visit went wonderfully. We are new in town and needed 3 dogs vaccinated and heartworm tests. Once we arrived I went through my general concerns as we all do for our fur babies but this Dr was great. Truly cared for all 3 pets. He was patient and kind with me as well. I will be going back. Prices are awesome. Cash or check only so be prepared..... Thanks again Dr

The veterinarian called me nearly 2 hours earlier than agreed upon, demanding I pick up my "noisy" dog. I arrived within 5 minutes of the call and my dog is making zero noises, and the clinic is empty and quiet. My dog just got operated on... why does this veterinarian lack compassion??? On top of the veterinarians unfriendly demeanor and zero professionalism he suggests that his clients use rubbing alcohol for cleaning a fresh surgery site. I am so shocked that this is listed on his post surgery instructions. It seemed super counter intuitive so I Googled aftercare for neutering and it says all over the internet to NEVER apply rubbing alcohol. I called another veterinarian and they told me to leave it alone and not to touch it, and expressed a lot of concern that rubbing alchol had been suggested. When I told them what clinic I had my dog neutered at they were no longer suprised. I'm so bothered I let my dog be seen by this man. This type of disinformation could really hurt someone's pet. He should not be allowed to work on anyone's pet, take my advice and have your pet seen elsewhere. I wish I had.

We have been visiting Dr. Mahmoud on & off for 2 years. He is very affordable (only $25/visit, and $10-$15 for vaccines). He is very knowledgeable, with decades of experience. He is very old fashioned in a sense, as he doesn't use computers, or have any vet tech assistants. You are basically his assistant in holding your pet while he examines them or administers vaccines....which is fine, considering he asks for a fraction of the price as every other vet I've been to! Please note that Dr. Mahmoud is from Egypt, so his thick accent may be a bit hard to understand, but he is very nice and professional! I think some people may mistake his direct manner of speaking as being "rude" or "short", but he is actually very compassionate! Just no "frills", which is honestly quite refreshing. I definitely recommend him!

Wow just wow! After reading the review I was hesitant to say the least. But not being able to get into our normal vet or any other vet in the valley. We were able to get in same day. The office was quiet and empty except for us. The doctor was kind, funny as well as a bit direct. We were okay with that. I like a doctor who does not waver with is diagnosis. He took his time and explained everything. All in all $90 for the visit and two shots and medication. I was impressed. Give him a shot! We will definitely be back!

I have had 2 experiences with this vet. The first time was when I adopted a small mixed breed dog from Southern Oregon Humane Society. He had been picked up in California as a starving stray. When I got him, he was incredibly underweight. You could see all the individual bones in his spine and ribs. SoHumane said I should take him to a vet immediately. I called around, but everyone else was booked a month or further in advance. This was the only vet I could find. The actual vet himself took my call. I told him the situation and he seemed reluctant to see my dog but ultimately scheduled an appointment for the next day. I show up. There is no one else there. Parking lot is completely empty. My gf and I walk in with our dog. The vet himself comes to the desk, looks at our paper work, and says his shots aren’t due for another 5 days. We say we are concerned about the dogs health and weight. He looks at the dog from the other side of the counter and says he looks healthy. He never was less than 6 feet from the dog. He then says his weight is healthy and not to feed him too much. We left mortified. Ended up having to return the dog due to his host of behavioral and health problems. The second experience was this past Friday. We had just bought a chihuahua puppy from someone who had oops babies. The home was filthy. The lady had at least 6 other dogs, a bunch of indoor/outdoor cats, birds, chickens, and pigs. The conditions the puppy were kept in we not healthy. There was a single bowl of dry dog food in a pen that was shared by a bunch of other dogs. We bring the puppy home and immediately start calling around for a vet to do a check up and get her shots in order. I accidentally call this vet first (I had forgotten the name of his clinic). Again, the vet himself answers the phone. I immediately recognize his voice. I tell him I just got a 9 week old chihuahua puppy and would like to get her seen and evaluated. He legit responds with “why?” He actually said that. I pause in shock, the say “never mind” and just hang up. I call other vets and the best I could find was one who could see my puppy a week later. The rest of the vets were all booked for weeks or even months ahead. So that was Friday. It is now Monday, and my puppy has skipped two full meals. On top of that, I haven’t been able to get her to eat even a third of cup of dog food in a full day. She only wants to eat grass, treats, and her own poop. Also, he poop is soft and full of worms. I can’t let her roam my backyard because of all the feral cats pooping everywhere. She needs her vaccinations. So I had to make an emergency appointment for her today at a different clinic. It’s important to note, every vet I’ve called has understood that it is important to get a new puppy in as soon as possible. This vet is the only one I called that just responded with “why”. I feel like he is just trying to protect himself from having to do work. There is a reason that this is the only vet in a 10+ mile radius that is always available. If you care about your pet, please try to see someone else. My puppy could be close to a life threatening problem and this guy wouldn’t give her the time of day. Please, do not see this vet.

Called to inquire about having our cat neutered. When asking questions about vaccinations that might be needed prior to neutering my cat I was treated very disrespectfully because I didn't know which ones I needed when all I was doing was asking them was what was required. I was treated as if I was bothering him and he didn't have time for me so I've decided not to give them my business clearly they don't need my business if that's the way they treat people

Went here to have the shots given to the dogs. Prices are comparable to the shot clinics that used to happen at Pet Country

This vet has always provided exceptional service to ALL of my fur babies. It has been my experience that he has NEVER steered me wrong. If he thinks something may put your baby at risk, he will let you know upfront. I have been to this clinic for many years and never once have I had the feeling that this Veterinarian has missed the point. He has saved many animals. I love this veterinarian! I just brought one of my cats to Central Veterinary yesterday for her spay and was very happy with the service. Dr. Mahmoud was friendly, as well as informative and direct, which I appreciate. He took very good care of my cat and did a good job stitching her back up, for a VERY reasonable price. (cash and check only) I think some of what people in reviews perceive as rude might be in part because of his directness combined with his accent and the way his speaking is structured, but I didn't experience any negativity in our interactions and when he was trying to explain things to me, I honestly felt like he was just trying to give me helpful information. I want my vet to want to educate me on things I might not know or fully understand.

If you just need an inexpensive vet that is straight to the point and don’t care about High levels of professionalism this place is good, but he Literally injected my dog with random vial without consulting, just told me to hold him still and then he DENIED to my vet that he ever injected my dog with the stuff NOTE: I would have given him a good review if not for the sketchiness considering the eye drops and or injections seemed to hold off the infection until I could get him into his normal vet. Just the fact he utterly denied giving those to my dog freaked me out

I just called this clinic (along with several others) with regards to my missing cat, asking if I could email him a picture with a couple of details and to request that they keep their eyes peeled for him should he be brought in... I am AMAZED at the arrogance and cold indifference in his response. He cut me off, said "what do you want me to do about it?" and when I asked if he could simply look at the brief email and picture and scan a cat of that description if he comes in, he said "NO! I don't have time for that." I clarified, "so wait, when someone brings in a pet, you really don't care if he's lost or stolen and won't bother to contact the owner, even if they've informed you they're missing their pet?" "NO, and I'm hanging up now" he said, and he hung up. Maybe my expectations were set too high by literally every other vet in town that I've called so far. They've been responsive and showed genuine concern and willingness to help out. This man made it clear that at the end of the day, he's in it for the money, not the pets or their owners. If you've ever lost a pet, you know how painful it is... do not look to this guy to even pretend to care about that, and please think about whether or not you want your pet's health in his hands, especially when you can't be there to see how he may treat them when you aren't looking. Just a heads up.

Best veterinarian in town! He is NOT all in it for the money like most veterinarians in this town. He has the best prices in town. He could make so much more money for his services. And most importantly he truly cares about all The animals he treats. He doesn’t try to make you do a bunch of unnecessary things to your pet just so he can make more money like other vets have done to me here in the valley before I found out about this amazing veterinarian. Yes he is old school but that just makes me love his veterinarian office even more! I got my cat fixed last week and I’m blown away by how good of a job he did on the stitches and The incision itself. My stitches that I got done by a human doctor didn’t even look nearly as good as my cats stitches done by this amazing veterinarian. I could go on and on and on about how this veterinarian is 100x better than any other veterinarian in this valley but I think this is enough. I Promise you won’t be disappointed.

I like this place a lot! Had my puppy neutered today and the Dr took such good care of him and looks like he did an excellent job! Very reasonably priced and the Dr loves your pet. Old fashioned but I like it. I would recommend to anyone who needs affordable pet care. Just be patient with him. His accent is heavy but just treat others how you would want to be treated. ????

I feel as if he is a wonderful vet. He charges half the price of anyone else, he is from a different culture so he is hard to read but when ya get to know him he is a funny guy and honest.

Very extremely rude. The vet spoke to me like I was stupid through the entire conversation while he avoided actually answering any of my questions. We will be taking our baby somewhere else.
