Great, compassionate care! The veterinarians and staff are wonderful and always follow up to check on my pets, even after a normal check-up.

Exceptional care, from the front desk to the assistants to the doctors. Riverside really sets the standard for others to aspire to. It starts at their front desk, where everyone is totally courteous and competent. They could teach a master class in how to run an office and handle phone conversations with clients. Then there are the assistants, who are always friendly and caring. Finally, the doctors themselves consistently offer nothing but top-notch care and follow-up services for our fur-babies! Our dogs are our family, and nothing's more important to us. That's why we entrust their care to Riverside, and would have no hesitation recommending them to others!!

I just want to say that I've never written a Google review before, but I feel like I should for this vet. Dr. Lee is absolutely amazing. She is incredibly gentle with both of my dogs. She's great with my puppy Athena and always makes her trips to the vet a positive experience which I had a hard time with my other dog at another vet. She also was very kind and gentle with my dog Tippy who has a lot of anxiety when it comes to the vet. She was patient and didn't force Tippy to do anything she wasn't comfortable with. I highly recommend going to Riverside if you want your pet to be handled with care.

Support your vets and don't expect more than you should. Caring for animals is a difficult and overworked industry

I am upset with the brief experience we had with this clinic. Two days ago, my cat had a rectal prolapse where her colon and intestines were outside her body. It was so horrible. She was in a lot of pain. Since there are no overnight emergency vets open anymore, she had to suffer all night. We rushed her to Riverside, as soon as they opened, but they refused to see her since she wasn't a previous patient. They said they do not offer same day emergency visits for new patients. My cat literally had her intestines OUT of her body, and they wouldn't see her. It was insane. So much for caring about animals. I am doctor myself, and we always will see a same day emergency patient- always. We ended up taking her Mt. Bachelor Vet Hospital and they rushed her in and helped her. I highly recommend that Riverside change their policy on this. It is not compassionate at all.

The most wonderful doctors & assistants.

I moved to Bend and wanted to establish care for my two dogs. Got an appointment but due to COVID procedures I had to wait in the parking lot as they took my dogs. There was no sense of caring as they yanked my petrified dogs from the car. Ten minutes later they bring them out and say the vet will be contacting me. Received an email the next day and it stated they need per dental work costing several thousand dollars. . No phone call or explanation. Took my business elsewhere.

I have been bringing my dogs to Riverside for many years. The staff is so nice, caring, and personable, and I always feel like they truly care about the animals they treat. It really shows in the little interactions, the time they spend, and their treatment of the animals themselves. I could not recommend them more strongly, and hope anyone reading these reviews knows that you can trust this amazing group of veterinarians, technicians, and their support/administrative staff to care for your furry friend. I think this may be my second ever review in my life. I don’t usually write reviews but I’ve loved this place so much and I want others to be able to find a great vet practice for their pets as well. After having a few bad experiences with our first vet in town with both of our pups we were feeling pretty discouraged and wanted to find a new vet. I was referred to Riverside Animal Hospital by a friend who was in vet tech school and had spent time at a handful of practices in town during her training and she really liked what she saw behind the scenes at Riverside. We took both of our pets for a new patient visit and I am so thankful we made the switch. Everyone was so kind, patient, knowledgeable, and professional. They always call to keep you updated during the whole process when your pet is with them - I really appreciate that so much. My dog used to fight with all her might not to go into her old vet and was scared the first time walking into riverside but she came out happy as a clam. I had to take her back for an emergency visit and she walked right inside with no fight - definitely a good sign. The vet techs have always called to check on our pups after any visit and you can tell they really read through their whole charts before calling and they know what they are talking about. I’m so happy to see a veterinary clinic practicing good medicine and treating all the animals as I would treat my own. Highly recommend, especially for people that get worrisome when their pet is at the vet.

Been bringing our dog here for over 4 years and nothing but positive things to say. They even caught a cancerous growth extremely early allowing us to get surgery while the growth was still small and extending our dogs life. I'd highly recommend them for your pets care.

This has been my home back for a long time. They take such good care of my best friend Chomper this is in the pictures below. The doctors are so compassionate loving and sweet. Very knowledgeable and go the extra mile to really check in on you and make sure your pet is doing fine. Whenever I travel I can call in and they will be available to send any documents to any other state within a click of a button. I highly recommend them to take your pet to. If you love your best friend bring him here

Riverside Animal Hospital has provided amazing care for our dog. When a small tumor was found on his leg, they worked to save the leg and assure an overall great long-term outcome. The staff is friendly, patient, and supportive. I highly recommend them for routine care and when your facing a real medical emergency.

I met Riverside Animal Hospital two years ago when I had to put my beloved cat down. He was dying before my eyes and despite not having any relationship with RAH, they were soooo kind. They immediately matched my own emotional response about what was going to happen next by being quiet. They were patient, kind and understanding. I literally felt like they knew me as their level of concern was perfect. Fast forward two+ years. I foster kittens for BrightSide Animal Center in Redmond and decided to adopt two kittens in my charge. I did not even think to find a new vet as I already knew I would return to Riverside. Even during our shelter-in-place restrictions, they again helped me within the same day I called for a medication renewal. I feel very supported whenever I need to contact them with a question. Make Riverside Animal Hospital your Vet. You will really trust them first go-‘round. They can handle your pet’s life from kitten to old buddy.

Riverside is great and has always taken very good care of my pup. All the vets, techs, and office staff genuinely care about their 2 and 4 legged clients. I recently moved to Puerto Rico and when they found out about my move they took it upon themselves to handle Orca's transition. They independently researched the requirements for animal transport, pushed up my yearly wellness exam, adjusted my vaccination schedule, and wrote Orca a health declaration all to ensure that our move was safe and easy. I highly recommend Riverside.

The entire staff at Riverside Animal Hospital - from the CSRs, Vet Techs, and the Veterinarians themselves - are wholly unbeatable in their diligent care and attention to the pet and the pets owner. I've taken 3 of my dogs (1 chihuahua and 2 labradors) to Riverside over the years. They've each been cared for excellently through a whole range of issues (cancer, arthritis, invertible disc disease, skin issues, the list goes on). My pups are always seen timely and I appreciate the options and education I am offered by Riverside's knowledgeable veterinarians during their checkups. I recently lost my Chihuahua in a tragic way and he had to be put down at Bend Vet Specialty & Emergency center, not only did I receive a call from Riverside the day after the incident, they also mailed me a card signed by various members of their staff. It was beyond touching and a deep comfort to know that Riverside remembered Willy. This review for Riverside is long overdue and if anyone reading this is currently searching for a Vet in Bend that cares for your pet and wants to see them well as much as you do, there is simply no better choice. Everyone at Riverside has been amazing to me and my dogs. Both of my dogs developed acute issues, and they fit them in quickly, addressed their needs, and were great to work with. Additionally, they submitted the necessary paperwork to our dog insurance company super fast. I'd definitely recommend this exceptional animal clinic.

Helped us in an emergency! Loved on our pup, and took great care of her! Even stayed late, and shuffled their schedule to fit our pup in for an emergency spay! Super thankful!

Dr. Sarah Cummings is so wonderful with Mindy (Havanese) that she jumps for joy when Sarah walks into the room. Very friendly, professional and charges less that other vets.
