I've had my 2 "fur babies" boarded here twice in the past 6 months and both times I picked up 2 happy dogs with fresh baths and trimmed nails! The owners have been very accommodating and super friendly, even when I call in periodically to check on my pups. I've been very happy with my experience and will be calling again!

Inexpensive boarding with caring owner who lives next door. The kennel is not new, but Kari takes much better care of my big baby than leaving her at home in the barn with occasional visits from neighbor.

They have always taken great care of our dogs.

Grooming might be ok but do not board here. My friends dog went a week without food she couldn't even hold her head up. They're just lucky she didn't die

The owners are so sweet and caring. We have boarded our dogs here for vacations over the past 3 years. We also have our cocker spaniel groomed here and other groomers have labeled her as “difficult”. After every grooming here she looks fabulous and there is no complaint... I love her but she is “difficult” They are the absolute best, sweetest groomers and boarders. I would trust my dogs with them any time.

Dogs get out in their care all the time. Getting injured and hit by cars, sadly some did not make it. Too close to a busy highway, property is not fenced in. Owner of the kennel let a senior, small dog outside to potty at 3 AM without a leash or collar, dog got away. I found the dog 8 hours later, dog had a fresh, deep cut on his back.

I had a medical emergency while driving my motorhome near the Oklahoma City area. This kennel was WONDERFUL. They picked my dog up from Animal Control and kept her safe after I flew back to Michigan for a few days to be taken care of by my doctors. My fur baby was obviously well loved and well cared for during my absence and it was clear she had a lot of fun. I will always be eternally grateful to them for how they helped me.

Great facility and personal touch

They killed my cousin in laws dog!!!! They were taking the dog for a walk outside and the dog supposedly got loose and they found the dog the next couple days dead across from the business!!

I board my big dog at Kasten's and he seems to be happy there. I also have him groomed there and they do a good job. Friendly people!

My Staffordshire Terrier would not let the vet clip his nails...but Kastans did a great job filing them! Very satisfied!

MUST READ I left my sweet dog with them Friday to board while we were out of town until Monday.They said they lost him Saturday but didn't notify us until Monday,said they had been looking for him but that wasn't true because we found him directly across the street from their business dead.None of their stories add up. took my little dog to get groomed, after being there for several hours i received a phone call saying she just couldn't cut her right today and that she could stay overnight for someone else to cut her in the morning and fix her. i was not okay with that so i had my sister go pick her up and when she brought her home she was completely shaved(not what we asked for), her face was very jagged, her front legs had not been touched, her nails were not trimmed and she had a huge gash on her back leg. here it is 2 days later and she is still hurting and moping around like she had been tortured. we will not be going back. do not recommend this place at all.

Our dog had extremely strong colored urine to the point of infection. Our concern was that he had not been let out enough, he smelled terrible and it took several days to get enough water in him to clear it up. We will not be using this facility again.

We had 2 dogs there for a week. When I called to tell her we were picking them up, she said they had gotten into a fight and she noticed "injury to her ear" while bathing them. It was not like my dogs, but she said she thinks it was over a rawhide (which I don't give to my dogs). I get there and the dogs looked like they had been in a dogfighting ring!! They both has scratches, scars and scabs all over their faces and bodies. The one was limping when we got her home and the bottom of her paw was completely ripped off!! She had 2 masses on her chest that were full of blood. I should have been notified and she should have gotten immediate vet attention. I will never return and if could give her negative stars I would!!

My two dogs were boarded on a Friday- Sunday. Worst experience. Supposed to be open at 7, had to wait for someone to get there. Upon arrival- I was told my dogs would probably smell- and be dirty, because they pooped all over the kennel. I was under the assumption that they were to be let out throughout the day. I had a bag full of toys that I left for them, toys were never given to them. As soon as I got my dogs home, they drank and drank like they hadn't drank for a while. Also went to the bathroom numerous times as soon as they were in the backyard. NOT what I expected for my dogs care. NEVER going back. Current employee- pretty unfriendly.

Owners are great. The young guy who works the place is a lazy teenager who gives no information on your pets. Staff is kids and are rude and does not give info on your babies as if they are eating or anything else

Kastan Kennels has been taking care of our dogs for years. The original owners are very dear friends of ours and we were worried when they sold the business. But the new owners have a great groomer Heidi that takes awesome care of our pups. When we give special instructions they follow those instructions. When dropping off the dogs you are allowed to have a look around and ask questions. When we board the dogs we can leave toys and blankets and they will even wash them for us if they get soiled. If you live in the Yukon area this is an affordable place to use for your grooming and boarding needs.
