One of our dogs had a major emergency that ended up with surgery. She is older and had two very bad experiences at other vets. I cannot tell you how wonderful it was for her to be comfortable with everyone in the whole vet hospital. I literally had to drag her in before and she went in happy and content when we took her back to have her staples removed. I will never take my dogs anywhere else and we don’t even live In Shawnee. They are the best ever!!!!

Dr Landry and the staff at Shawnee Animal Hospital are top notch in taking care of my dog, Uno. They show compassion and strong support in his care. I recommend them for anything.

Dr. Simpson is absolutely the best vet around! He has saved my furbaby, Ivy Jean, a couple of times now, and helped my boy Riley Dean when he was so itchy. He will joke around with me, which puts me at ease, and treats my dogs with such kindness and tenderness. Dr. Simpson is an angel ???? Thank you again for EVERYTHING!!!

I recently changed from Banfield to Shawnee Animal Hospital and my sweet German Shepherd “Riley” was able to see Dr. Simpson last week to get his ears checked and some vaccines. Riley is terrified of the vet and Dr. Simpson and his technician handled him very well. We were scheduled right before the holiday weekend and they were EXTREMELY busy - I never felt like Riley’s exam was being rushed and I believe the vet was very thorough with his exam. This was ONLY Riley’s first visit but I got a wonderful feeling this clinic and Dr. Simpson will be great to him. I highly recommend this clinic to anyone looking for a good vet to care for his or her fur babies (large or small).

I recently moved back to Shawnee and needed a vet for my Grand Doggie Charlotte. She needed her nails trimmed and she was 15 1/2 years old with disability’s. They were so gentle and kind to her and I. Recently I had to make a very hard decision to have her put to sleep. ???? They we’re so kind and caring. The vet showed such empathy and the rest of the staff was wonderful. My son passed away a year and a half ago. This was his doggie daughter. I’m so grateful I was given a year and a half with her. Thank you Shawnee Animal Hospital. ❤️❤️

I've been taking my animals to this vet for about 3 years now. They are friendly, knowledgeable and always take great care of my pets. I have 2 dogs and 3 cats and they all get their annual vacinations and flea control from there. Definitely would recommend to anybody

Shawnee Animal Hospital was there when both of my dogs got sick, very suddenly. Their later hours are wonderful! The vet and all the staff there are friendly, and knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend them!

I love this place. I love Dr. Coffey. I love leaving feeling like they treated my family members as their own. I have never left this place feeling like I didn’t get the best care for my furry ones. When Scout was there for a week, they let me visit her everyday and did the best they could before she sadly passed away. They treat my cat Stormbreaker as if he is their own family member. I love every experience I have had here. The good and the sad. Dr. Coffey has really good bedside manner and is always willing to speak when you are struggling with a loss of a furry friend. I’ll never forget what he did for me when Scout was dying. I’ll never forget that the whole staff were completely accommodating and loving to her in her time of need. Hands down this is the best vet to take your beloved furry family members to. Updating on 11-23-21: the praises for this clinic doesn't stop. I took my boyfriend's cat in who was in a rough shape. I had already been to Neels and they said it was a bowel obstruction. Dr. Simpson said it didn't look like one. Thanks to all the help and the helpful advice from Dr. Simpson, Aasbo is acting normal again!

My kids rabbit was attacked by a dog. Her leg joint was dislocated and her foot was mangled and it was late at night. The doctor meet us down at their office and was able to repair the damage. It's been 5 weeks now, and Ashley, the rabbit is doing very well. Thank you, my autistic son loves Ashley and we're so grateful that she's doing great! Of course, when I saw the cat with the bad eye injury at the animal shelter, I scooped her up and brought her right in on a Saturday afternoon. I'm so glad that I did, and now we have a new sweet cat. It's great to have doctors that really care and can be such great advocates for pets. Thanks!

We are willing to drive 45 minutes to take our dogs to Shawnee from Norman for Shawnee Animal Hospital. Couldn’t be happier.

My 6 yo English Bulldog became very lethargic, wasn’t eating or drinking, and I couldn’t get her to stand. It started after hours so I took her to a local emergent vet for eval. They did labs and gave her fluids but I opted to go to our primary vet in the am. When the morning came, my vet would not see my dog. A friend suggested I go directly to SAH with her. They took us in immediately, utilized the lab information and with a quick assessment and diagnostic exam, we had a plan in less than 30 minutes. She needed blood, fluids, was admitted and had an emergency splenectomy the next morning. I can’t thank Dr. Leon, Dr. Simpson, Sadie (the furry blood donor), the vet techs, and the kind staff at the front desk enough! I was certain Rosie would not survive. It was well worth the drive from Edmond to Shawnee. Forever your customers, Rosie and Kerrie ❤️

I am so grateful to this clinic and their staff. First off, I spoke with Wendy over the phone and she was so kind and concerned over the emergency situation we were having. My fiancée and I had a very large pig with an emergency and we were unable to bring it to the clinic. Wendy made sure to get us scheduled with a veterinarian ASAP as she understood the urgency of the situation. Dr. Coffey and his assistant, Kylie, came to my home to handle our emergency and they were awesome! Dr. Coffey and Kylie were funny, enthusiastic, and determined to help us despite it being late at night after having already worked all day. I was so relieved to have their help and they were so pleasant to be around. They kept us entertained and calm even though we had been so exhausted from the situation with our pig from the previous day and night. When it was all said and done, they gave a more than fair price for the work done and I am grateful to have had such cool, yet professional people help us. These two just left our house right about midnight and I am so relieved and happy that I thought I would write this immediately while it is fresh on my mind. Thank you all so much and I will make sure to use your clinic in the future and recommend you to our friends and family!

If you ever have an emergency don't bother trying to use the on call vet they only answer or call back when they feel like it. I've been calling for hours trying to get help with 7 newborn puppies and there momma
