Very rude and not professional. Do not care about your animals. Seriously do not take your baby’s here. I would never recommend this vet.

I would give 0 if possible. Refuses to see a sick animal while open. They say the are a hospital and have emergency visit when open is a lie. Instead they refer out 2 hours away. Even though staff is present. In the past used them and told animal has liver failure and would die young if I didn't give them special food. Which was not true he lived many more years like a whole lifespan with no issues. Of course I took them to another vet for a second opinion.

Unfortunately, I found a stray kitten about 2&1/2weeks ago. She was not in good shape, malnourished, lethargic and most likely some serious health issues. I tried to help her, but to no avail. Thank God for the Doctors & staff at Banfield Pet Hosp. They were polite, considerate and due to the fact little "Squirt" (what I called my sweet little kitty ????) had to be humanely euthanized, to save her any further undue suffering, they were gentle... with me as well as my kitty. They even helped arrange the lowest price possible. Appreciate your time and understanding... That???? hug didn't hurt either, Doc????????????????????????✝️♥️ Thanks ladies and gentlemen.

I always appreciate how they treat my dogs & cats, they let me drop them off when I need to which helps for my work schedule, and they help me find more affordable ways to get care. Their website is also easy to use & is a nice record keeper for vet records.

Considerate staff even during time of loss. Treats you like family.

Would not quote the price of a spay for a female cat without coming in and demanded to pay for a vaccination and office visit first.

Pet hospital? Are 12 week old puppy started to have symptoms of parvo this morning (Sunday). Being that it is the only place open we gave them a call only to be turned away and told to try an pet ER in Springfield or Arkansas. Really your name being pet hospital is very misleading. It's OK we found a place where puppies lives matter.

Just another over priced corporate run veterinary office. They were nice enough and seemed knowledgeable but still pricey.

I was an employee with Banfield in Joplin for almost 5 years. This location is a disgrace to the company name. Management cares more about numbers and bonuses than they do about associates or pets. Associates are continuously mentally abused, pets aren’t able to receive decent care due to understaffing and poorly trained new hires, and doctors are worked ragged just so the management can make money. All of the staff that cared have left within the last few months, leaving only wildly inept nurses to treat pets. I will be driving an hour away to the Springfield Banfield due to fear of my pets being neglected (as they have been even when I was an employee there) and fear of retaliation from the abusive management team. I advise any client who goes there to use extreme caution as your pets will most likely get lackluster care. I have contacted corporate about my concerns but at this point it seems they are content to allow associates to be abused and pets to receive poor treatment.

We made an appointment for skin issues our dog has continued to have for years. Banfield sounded promising with skin biopsy testing. After being told we could stay while they looked at him in a room, they said it would take 2-3 hours. So my dog was left at a new vet from 11am to 230pm. We called for an update and they said we’d get a call with results and info on when to pick up in 20 minutes. 45 minutes later we called again, waited on hold FOR TWENTY MINUTES, then they said we had a flea allergy (it’s not, we’ve tried that diagnosis and treatment with no relief) they hadn’t even done any of the wellness treatment we signed up for during the 4 hours they had my dog. There is no reason my dog should have been in a cage for 4 hours for them to guess wrong at his allergy. We do not live in Joplin so we just sat outside in our car waiting this entire time. Waste of time and for sure will not go back. The staff was apologetic for the length of time and lack of communication. The vet said “I can’t just snap my fingers and get it all fixed”

This was my first visit. I had a very old Mastiff (15) who had his health decline over the last year and a half. On a Friday night his health suddenly deteriorated causing me to need to put him down on Saturday. My normal veterinarian being closed, I reached out to Banfield Pet Hospital. I cannot express the care, kindness and love that was given to our family. The tenderness was from the heart and compassion was true, not forced. I would definitely recommend this location and will be changing veterinarian offices.

Dropped my pup off at 9:45am and it's almost 4pm and he still isn't done! It is just for a comprehensive exam! It's ridiculous that it takes this long. I called after about 3 hours and he was just then gonna be seen by a vet. Why make an appointment to just have your dog sit at the vet and wait for hours. Poor pup! Being at the vet for this extended period of time is physically hard on him especially since there is no good reason for it. Not renewing my wellness plan cuz this kind of stuff keeps happening.

So I moved to NWA from OKC and had to swap Banfield abruptly. And I was delighted by this team that helped me and my fur babies Hunter and Cecil! They were flexible as I had to cancel three times prior due to a schedule complication on my end, the snow storm, and then a family member got Covid. We finally made it to them and they were so courteous taking notes and being so patient as I described all the symptoms of my elderly 15 yo cat who had recently been vomiting blood. Everyone running the phones was so courteous, attentive, and polite. Nurse Harley got Hunter and Cecil to and from our vehicle and was so kind to them. Thank you so much for looking after my boys with such great care! ???? ——————— Edit: I ended my memberships with Banfield. Staff was kind but after reflecting on my experience compared to the previous Banfield I attended (OKC Memorial) I’m pretty disappointed. Hunter was puking blood, I was there for six hours, and said if they felt he needed further testing to call me and keep me posted on why. They couldn’t give him anything for the pain from his arthritis. They told me he had cataracts. When I asked why he was puking I got the generic “well cats puke for all sorts of reasons”. It would’ve been fine if they had communicated better. Instead, I was asked to buy very expensive dry prescription food after I’d already spent around $300- not to mention, they also wanted my one year old kitten to go on the same food??? I was told he needed his teeth cleaned (another $300) which had recently been done in October. I asked about supplements and I got pretty vague answers both times I talked to the vet. :/ So, I went to a new vet, Dr. Rose, desperate for answers about why my cat was rapidly losing weight and had vomited blood. With a couple of additional tests I was informed he had early kidney failure and that his thyroid dose needed to be adjusted immediately from 2.5 mg to 7 mg. He’s been much better ever since. She also has him on Viralys (lysine powder) for his immune system, interferon for his FIV, and added Duralactin to go with the Cosequin I already had him on. She also got him on a pain medication that I’m receiving today. So I’ll edit once I know so other owners with geriatric cats can use this medication also. Additionally she showed me the tooth that needed to be extracted (which could’ve been easily informed to me over the phone by Banfield) and said he’s good for now- giving me time to save up for the procedure. I did file a complaint to Banfield Cares and we did get things sorted. However, I think there’s a serious issue with communication and I feel other clients should be aware of it. If a vet doesn’t know why something is happening they should clearly state their position on a possible prognosis or be totally honest, inform the client of the next steps to take, or recommend another vet in the Banfield who may be better with cats. Staff and nurses were still very kind to my pets and I believe they did the best that they could considering they probably also didn’t get estimated times to give out to clients. But I definitely think the vets need to step up their game with communication and not dismiss patients just because “cats just puke sometimes”. There was very little care for the fact I had to take an entire day out of my schedule to wait around town on them and I was asked to return for a morning. And it makes no sense to put a senior cat and a kitten on the same expensive sensitive stomach diet (indefinitely mind you) when neither have a history of having sensitive stomachs- in other words, they were symptoms to a larger issue (renal failure and pica). Definitely felt like a bandaid for a much more serious situation. So- that all to say, this Banfield needs to improve their communication dramatically.

I took my cat here 3 times and they failed to detect a simple respiratory infection while HE HAD A RESPIRATORY INFECTION. All signs were pointing to it and yet they said "come back in a couple days" while my cat is already on its deathbed. This establishment is unprofessional, uneducated, and underqualified to run such an establishment. DON'T COME HERE TO SERVICE YOUR ANIMAL AND EXPECT GOOD RESULTS.

They are ok. I do not like their new way of vet visits. Keeping our animals for 4 hours for a 20 minute appointment. I canceled i used to like them. Its a shame. I went back to my old vet. I will drive the extra miles. Even though you guys were closer.

December 2020- LOVE our vet (Dr. Caniglia)! My pup was injured on a Saturday and her staff were able to direct me to an emergency vet clinic to get him seen. Scheduled our follow up appointment with her a week later and she personally walked him out to my car wearing him in his K9 Sportsack ???????? Made my day. They are always awesome at regular wellness visits for all 4 of ours as well! Worth every penny! February 2021- My littlest pup started having seizures this week and they were able to see him within 30 minutes of me calling and have him back to me with a diagnosis and medication already sent to the pharmacy within an hour. Dr. Caniglia and the desk staff are THE BEST. They called to check on Thomas the very next day and make sure that he was doing okay on his new anti-seizure medication. Can’t say enough good things about them.
