We've used Waterloo Animal Hospital for ages. They've always taken good care of our pets. From routine vet visits to boarding our dogs or even helping when a beloved pet passed away, Waterloo has always been there for us.

The entire staff is so kind and willing to help. We love Dr. Bracket, she takes care of our puppy and our service dog. My service dog came to me in not the best shape ( heartworn positive) and Dr. Brackett and her staff helped me get my girl healthy and happy.

I went there while traveling. They identified my dog developed allergies to the local environment and gave us some medications. We were in and out in 20 minutes. Great service all around!

My dog tore it’s neck open and required immediate attention. Water Animal Hospital was able to immediately sedate and stitch her up within minutes of our arrival. The wound healed up nicely and the stitches were perfect. Their communication and follow up was fantastic. Their staff is also very friendly. I highly recommend them!

I’ve taken my dog Cookie and our other dogs here for several years. For the most part they were pretty good. About a month ago I brought cookie in because she had hurt her leg and was having a hard time walking. They gave her some meds and said she needed some rest but she’s in good health. Well she kept getting worse so we took her back and had over $300 in tests done. They said everything was fine and gave her a shot for pain. She kept getting worse. It was obvious something else was wrong. We called back all they wanted to do was give her another shot for pain. Not bring her back and let’s see if we missed something. Just bring her in and let’s jam another $60 needle in her. They acted like they didn’t really care. The vet was even eating on the phone. While my wife is in tears trying to tell them what’s going on this lady is just munching away right in her ear. So here we are not knowing what to do because we want to trust our vet but something is not right at all. Well cookie started having really bad pains last week. We rushed her to a 24 hour vet where we were told there was little to nothing they could do at this point. She had to be put to sleep. If we had come to them a few weeks earlier cookie would still be with me and my family. Animal Waterloo Hospital failed my family I won’t be taking anymore of my pets here. I suggest you don’t either. Edit: They responded to this review within half a day on. However my wife emailed them on the 18th with these exact same concerns and it wasn’t until today the 24th my wife got a response after I make a public review. Is it your patients you care about or your PR points?

Our family and doggies love Waterloo Animal Hospital. We also love Lisa and their grooming services! The amazing front desk staff go above and beyond every time we call in about any concern and most importantly, our dogs don't mind going to the vet. They shook when we went to our previous vet. They get a different vibe here. :) Dr. Brackett and her staff were the best when our 13 year old chow mix Tabby had a huge tumor and was at the end of her life. Dr. Brackett came to our home and made putting our baby down so much easier and her compassion and care for Tabby helped us through a really hard time. I couldn't recommend a better veterinarian and so happy we switched a couple of years ago!

My dog jersey stopped breathing during her surgery and Dr Bracket and Tiffany worked for 30 minutes to bring her back, they are the best!

I thought I found the best vet, I never met the vet only the staff. I’ve used them to board one of my dogs and they neutered a couple and chipped and vaccinated them. All went well. I had an emergency with one of my dogs and I was told the vet was double booked. I insisted and was told the vet didn’t have the proper equipment. Sedation, a laryngoscope and hemastats was all that was needed. They lied to me. This place is fine for routine care, but in my time of need My pet-their patient was insignificant. I’m changing vets.

Dr. Bracket was the best. I had to put my little Silky to sleep but they did their best to ease the pain. Every experience I've had with them has been excellent. Will be going back when I find a new companion.

We have truly been grateful for all of our recent experiences at Waterloo Animal Hospital. I could not recommend this place more. We trust the entire team completely with all three of our dogs. We will never go anywhere else no matter where we live. They have gotten two of our babies in right away in a couple of emergencies. Recently our Luna girl had pancreatitis and they bent over backwards for her. Bradley, the vet tech, who is always wonderful, thorough, and gentle with our dogs, let our vet know that I was very upset about the situation and our vet came out to our car to thoroughly explain and comfort me about the whole situation. She spent a very long time with me despite the clinic being closed by that point in the evening. They also insisted I call if she got any worse at and we could bring her back. They called two times to follow up with her condition and the vet called again to discuss a prescription food with me. I love that they always follow up regardless of what they are seen for, whether it’s because they’re sick or just a regular annual exam. They have completely adapted to the pandemic and despite us not being able to go in for the appointment due to covid, they call us and give us a complete rundown of what’s going on inside. If you’re looking for a vet home, Waterloo Animal Hospital is the very best.

The staff and veterinarians are amazing people truly! Although I feel the prices are a little high you know your fur baby's are taken care of here.

I scheduled an emergency appointment when our regular vet didn't answer their phone today. I feel like I took a little trip back in time before large corporate chains took over vet offices everywhere. This was the nicest, kindest vet office. From the front office to the vet herself. Loved them all! (I actually thought the vet tech was the vet, she was so professional and knowledgeable.) I felt that they really cared about our little dog and took the time to figure out what was going on. We're moving all our pets to this office. Thank you again!

I love the staff at Waterloo Animal Hospital! They have always been responsive to questions sent through email and worked to get my puppy in ASAP when needed! Their attitude has been great even while dealing with changes created by COVID 19. They make sure that their customers and their animals are safe and cared for very well.

Ordered 3 shots...rabies...bordetella and distemper....took it upon themselves to do a heart worm test... fecal exam and a physical that I did not request! To the tune of $140. Will go elsewhere next time!

Highly recommend this animal hospital for your pets! They really went above and beyond to assist me in a stressful time with my pup, including jumping through a lot of hoops to guarantee I could get my dog's medicine refilled before leaving town. So thankful we found them and will continue to trust them with our pups in the future!
