Great place to take your animals. The staff was so kind to my dog Fred. They are a great group of people. I would recommend them for all your pets needs.

We've been going to AVPH for almost 20 years; a very compassionate staff. This visit was unplanned, due to one of our Greyhounds was at the end of her life. Thankfully, they worked us in. We drive approximately, 45 minutes to the clinic, though we have closer options, we love their compassion & knowledge of the animal care practice.

My two German Shepherds have been patients at this clinic since they were puppies. Friday, I called and asked for a couple carprophen to get her through until Monday when my husband can actually drive. Booked an appointment for 3 on Monday. Refused to give it to her because she hasn’t been seen in x amount of months... (My girl Shepherd, Cheyenne has been in a lot of pain from hip issues and my husband pulled is hamstring and strained his back.) To let their furry patients suffer for any reason (especially one very easy to fix) is very disheartening! It also conveys a lack of understanding that things happen to pet owners as well. I know that there are ways around the excuse I was given as to why the vet wouldn’t give her a non-narcotic anti inflammatory. Find a veterinarian clinic that advocates and cares for your pets. Go somewhere else.

My parents and I have been bringing our pets to Acre View for over 20 years, back when Dr. King was running the practice (we miss her!) Kathy at the front desk has been there from the beginning it's so nice & comforting that she knows who you are when you call. The staff and doctors they have are highly trained, very smart, knowledgeable and they genuinely care. For example, after my little doggie had surgery they called several times a day to check on her! My physician doesn't even do that Haha! Dr. Ross, Jennifer and Barbara are just a few of the friendly faces you will run into. I can't say enough positive things about Acre View!

We had used this vet for 15 years, but have noticed a deterioration of customer service for a few years. Recently we boarded our dogs for one night - less than 24 hours. When we picked them up, we were charged for two days, and were charged for fecal tests on our three dogs, which had not been previously disclosed. Additionally, they gave one of our dogs a shot without our approval. One night boarding for three dogs was $241. We will not return, and encourage others to be on alert for unethical over-charging.

We had an AWFUL experience! Do not go here! We have a six week old german shepherd/golden retriever that we got two or three days ago. The puppy was going in to get her first round of shots; she had some diarrhea so they tested her for parvo with a very they insisted that the test came back positive after stating that her fecal sample was poor. They insisted that we put our dog down/ or they would charge us over 1,000 dollars to hospitalize her for two days. She continued to tell us that we needed to put her down. We decided to find another vet and look around at more prices to see what the best idea was for our Samantha. We ended up taking her to BRITTON VETERINARY CLINIC (which they are excellent and actually care about the animals they see and they are also walk in). They took a fecal sample by sending my boyfriend home to get one since they couldn't get one since she had pooped before. She tested the poop and it came back negative for parvo. She said there was round worm. She gave her all her first round of shots and dewormed her! They asked us to come back in two weeks to do another round of shots and check up on her. After finding out the best news after getting the worst news; we called acre view to see what they could do for us because of the poor customer service and how much they really don't care about her. They continued to tell us that she probably still has it and needs to be put down, with no hope for the 5 week old puppy. She had no symptoms of parvo other then some diarrhea, especially with the change of dog food and round worms! The doctor that we saw did not care for her, whatsoever, and the people treated us like we were nothing, except money in their pockets. We will never take her back there again. They are refusing to give us any refunds and we are truly devastated by the lack of professionalism and negligence to our puppy.

I have known Dr Barger for years now and she has a lasting interest in our pets health. Nothing but good things to say about this clinic and the Vets that run it!

I am really happy with the vets and staff at Acre View. I had been looking for a vet that would not only provide sound advice and advance medicine, but one that also offer a personal caring side. All the staff and vets are passionate, and get excited to see your pet and offer great advice on care, training, and overall wellness. You have an immediate sense that your pet will be well taken care of and the place is also clean. Not the case on some of the other practices I visited before deciding on Acre View. All female staff, professional and overall pleasant and passionate about what they do. The groomer on staff cares about your pet and making sure they just don't look pretty, but that they are getting the necessary grooming to stay health. A great overall experience.

We had moved to Edmond and needed to locate a new vet for our Yorkie. I am not sure how she felt about a new vet, as she had seen the same vet all of her life; however, it was a traumatic move for my husband and me. A friend highly recommended Acre View to us, and on the very first visit we were made to feel so welcome, and at home, we knew we made a good selection. We have now been seeing them for several years. Anytime we have taken our little Yorkie to Acre View, she has been treated as though she were the only pet there. Doctors’ Ross and Barger, and the staff have gone over and above to take care of her health and medical needs, to include a serious accident, aided in finding and selecting the proper foods and victims for her, and in her grooming and boarding needs. The office is nice and the cost is reasonable. Our pet is a member of our family and we want the very best for her. I cannot say enough “good” about Acre View Pet Hospital and the "TLC" one receives there, and I as my friend did for me, I can highly recommend them for all pet needs.

We took our precious little girl to Acre View simply because she was so very sick and we thought it would be cruel to make her ride all the way to our regular vet. It was one of the biggest mistakes we have made. Her true symptons which were GI were totally ignored. Elaine the vet thought she heard a heart murmur and thats all she honed in on. Ignored the fact that xrays and blood work totally rulled out heart issues. Gave me a false hope that she was going to get better and had me tortoring my poor baby for 2 days shoving heart pills down her throat. Scammed us saying we needed to put her on the outrageously expensive k/d cainine food that she most likely gets kick backs on. Two days later when when our little girl was only worse and had a terrible day we decided we needed to just take her to our faithful vet that we had gone to since she was a puppy. Immediately he saw that her heart was totally fine with no murmur whatsoever and found a lymphoma that "Elaine" totally missed. The lump was so big my husband and I can't possibly figure out how she missed it. Our baby girl suffered for 2 more days because of her blaitent oversight. Just because her own pet had been recently diagnosed with heart failure doesn't mean every pet that comes to her should be treated for heart disease. We wish we would have never taken our sweet baby girl in to that office that day. Who knows what the outcome would have been if we had not.
