For owners who have dogs for love and not for business, this is not the place for you, they treat pets like merchandise. worst place, its full all the time just because it is one of the cheapest places. But if you really love your pets don’t come here.

I had a wonderful experience at Durant animal Hospital. The help was great and the Doc was amazing, his assistants Lyndsie, Danielle were outstanding.

This is one of our, much cherished fur babies. On the way to visit family the Golden Retriever Shelly had, what we know now was a stroke and could barely lift her head. The next morning we where able to take Shelly to Durant Animal Hospital and where informed of the stroke and after tested where informed she also had an enlarged heart. The doctor, assistants, and staff where very helpful, nice, and most of all informative, which made us feel a little more at ease, even after hearing the issue with the enlarge heart. They got Shelly on medicine asap ( she will be on for the rest of her life) and I am glad to say she has made a great recovery and response. Shelly can lift her head and is back to her normal playful self, just with a little more down time to rest. There really is no price for your animals, however I can say the bill and medicine was very reasonable, in fact so, I really thought they had made a mistake and forgot to charge us for something. Durant animal Hospital is outstanding in all areas, I would highly recommend them, and I would like to thank them for all there time and effort taking care of everyone’s fur babies. It is not a job for them, but a passion!!

I absolutely love this clinic. I have been coming here for about 4-5 years. Doc mills is amazing!! Most recent visit was December 17th when I had a dog that was in labor. From xrays that we had done a few days prior we were aware she would need a csection.. well she decided to go into labor early the morning of the day the csection was planned. I live over an hour away so I loaded her up and headed to the clinic at 615 am. I tried calling the clinic to get the emergency number but it kept saying the number wasn’t accepting calls.. I called probably 30 times trying to get a hold of someone.. when I got to the clinic I called the after hours number that was on the window.. no answer.. by this time I had delivered one puppy and thought another was stuck. Tried calling again.. was able to get ahold of Doc mills. He said it was his day off and Dr. French would be there today.. well about 5 min later Sabre got there and she was also amazing.. she was able to get a hold of Dr. French who refused to come in. Said it wasn’t her problem and she wouldn’t be there til 9.. I was furious. I was going to leave and go to another clinic.. I was getting in my car to leave when Doc Mills called her back and said he was on his way and to get her prepped. He walked into a complete mess that morning not only with my dog but there were 2 other dogs in the same situation.. I am so grateful to Doc mills and Sabre for being there, stepping up and coming in when he didn’t have to.. all the puppies lived and are fat and happy..

The doctor who took care of my dog is a crook, he works like a butcher and was very arrogant and disrespectful when we came back to get our puppy taken care of.

i took my pet today here and Dr. Mills was literally just in there for not even 2 minutes. literally 1 minute and was super rough with her leg. my dog started crying and just grabbed her leg and left. didn’t even look at her foot and said nothing was wrong until i pointed it out. never coming back to a place that doesn’t care about other peoples pets. they were rushing the whole time. Only person who was helpful Sarah. So thank you sarah for actually helping me and my pet.

Brought our blue heeler in for what we believe to be a possible paw fracture. Our boy was in a great deal of pain and couldn’t put any weight on his back leg whatsoever. Upon walking in we saw the waiting room was packed and had to wait about 10-15 minutes to even be asked what was wrong. Only to be told that the vet was already booked up today and couldn’t see anyone else. We asked if it was possible to just get it looked at to confirm it was broken and was told “we close at 2pm today and we already won’t be leaving until at least 4pm, we don’t have anymore room”. We were at this office at 8:45am. They gave us no suggestion for another vet to take him to and took it upon ourselves to find the next closest vet. We took him to Bryan Animal Hospital and found that even though they had the same amount of people in their waiting room, we still were taken to exam room IMMEDIATELY and treated because of the condition of his paw being emergent. My suggestion is if you have an unexpected emergency that doesn’t allow you to schedule an appointment, do not come to Durant Animal Hospital.

A breath of fresh air to be treated with concern and compassion. We took our cat in today for the first time. We were very concerned due to his symptoms. All the staff was very nice. I especially loved the doctor and assistant.

I’m sad to say that after 7+ years my family animals will no longer be loyal patients to Durant Animal Clinic. I have trusted and appreciated this clinic for a long time but after the service I received today I feel my business and loyalty are no longer appreciated. I called this morning to schedule an appointment for Pearl and was told to walk in, no appointment was necessary. I went to work and was off by noon to drive home, pick her up and take her to the vet. When I arrived by 1:30 I was told that they are not accepting walk ins for the rest of the day. I explained I called this morning and the receptionist said that they had quit taking walk ins by the time I got there. It was very upsetting that it wasn’t clarified over the phone that they quit taking walk-ins at a certain time of the day. I was told I could come back the next day.

I honestly can't say enough good things. The vet that was on call had a patients of a Saint, dealing with me probably was not his idea of fun but he listened and gave wonderful advice. Also took a surgery on my puppy that no one else would touch. So I'm beyond thankful. His staff was so wonderful ( they are so busy and short staffed) but kept a smile and just so patient with everyone I saw they interacted with, even took my phone call to check on our fur baby even being busy ( I asked if they were and she said yes but wouldn't let me off the phone and she checked on our baby) most wouldn't take the time. It meant everything. The price blew my mind I honestly walked in with two credit cards thinking this surgery would cost me well over 2grand I was so far off under $500 that was a huge blessing. I talked to the vet and other employees when I picked up my girl, they offered so much advice and just honestly so loving to my girl I'm thankful. I would recommend them to anyone. Even work with cattle and that's hard to find these days.

I brought my senior dog here after my local vet sent me home with 30 days of antibiotics and hoped the problem would go away because in his own word ‘I don’t really know what this is but hopefully this will help’. The vet identified the problem on site and was able to do surgery to correct the same day. The front office staff were also super nice to my dog which made me feel better about leaving him overnight. Also the cost of the surgery, the medication and the overnight stay was only $50 more than my visit to the local vet that did nothing to help. Very happy customer and more importantly a very happy dog.

I started going here a few months ago to get my puppy her vaccines every two weeks. Normally, I am in and out within an hour. However, today when I arrive I wasn't told all of the doctors in the building went to lunch at the same time and were on lunch when I had arrived. I heard them say it a few minutes later to another guest. I understand that breaks are important, but EVERY professional in the building that could care for the animals and get them out was gone for TWO HOURS. In fact, I am still waiting to be seen as I write this because they STILL aren't back. I am in no way upset at the people working the desks, I just think that it is seriously unprofessional for every veterinarian to leave their practice together to go to lunch for multiple hours while leaving the clinic open to accumulate more and more people waiting to be seen. I arrived at 12, it's 2:15. When we asked about the wait we were first told the veterinarians were all on lunch and "well that's just what happens when you come to a clinic as popular as ours".

Traveled from Dallas to take my pet to Durant Animal Hospital, it was the best decision I have made in a long time. Lyndsie helped us from the start and is an asset to your company, she is awesome. I will only take my pet here from now on. You saved my pets life today, thank you for that.

Went in with a sick calf. Take my place in the always long line no fuss with that. Sit waiting at least an hour. About to pull up to unload finally. Another trailer pulls up to the side unloads two horses and waltzes right in front of us. I get out to go see what the deal is and was told he was there earlier but had to leave. Sorry Bud get yourself to the back of the line and start all over again like the rest of us. I had places I would rather be too. It’s all who you know. And more recently I have discovered you better get there early if you need anything because if they get behind and you need to be seen, it will cost you an emergency visit fee. We had just picked up a puppy that evening and wanted to get shots. Now I will say Doc Mills himself has helped me out being on call after hours when we had a dog run over, but his help I can’t speak for and you can’t just demand to see Doc so no thanks for me.

don't even pay attention to the negative reviews-i drive from Allen, Texas to see Dr. Mills-he's awesome. Common sense, EXTREMELY REASONABLE PRICES! The rates here are extremely fair and the Dr. is great

Thanks so much for your excellent care of Miko during his week long adventure from the winery all the way to Durant. We are so thankful we found him alive and well. Dr Boyd has also made a couple farm calls for us. He's amazing!

My sister took her cat here, and they did nothing(charged 40$ for it) and sent her home saying she would be fine. After picking her up that morning, my sister had to go back because her cat wasn’t doing good. In the way there her cat died. They then charger another 100$ to take the cat.

I live in Atoka and this is my #1 go to for the best quality care for my near and dear furbabies. Well worth the drive. And highly recommend. Not just the vet but all members of the staff sincerely care and make the whole process much easier

Took my daughters dog in for her she had been acting lethargic, and when they tested her everything came back negative I had questions about the diagnoses which was very rushed as they were very busy stacked by 3 each slot, no further test were done sent us home with medication I feel they knew wouldn't work just wanted to make their dollar, 2 hours after the visit I had to return to have her put to sleep couldn't let her suffer, after some medication had been given while at said visit, she was now bleeding out, in the process of having her being put to sleep we were told if you cant afford a dog you dont need one. Said our goodbyes, and had her cremated, when returning to pick up her ashes, the bag in which her box and ashes were in was put very firmly on counter, and when we Express that was rude the reply from girl behind the counter said "were busy"..will not use nor recommend this vet to anyone I know, very unhappy with the service which ended up costing almost $500 and being made to feel as if our actions to have her see a vet and recover was an inconvenience. When asked about the never used medication that we were told she needed could be returned we were told 2 days ago our policy changed we no longer do that... I think they are very overwhelmed by the amount of customer's they see each day but that is trumped by the dollar's they make off of it.

The vet clinic is very good however they need to update the American flag outside it’s in a disgraceful shape. The stars are visible but faded and the red and white stripes at faded and torn. As an American veteran it was heart breaking.

I don't understand how this vet office has any customers! They over charge and if you go just plan on spending your whole day there. The staff acts like you're a inconvenience in life. They don't take responsibility for the things they do wrong or misdiagnose. The operating room is like a free standing area for customers. Oh and the vet is worried about timing how fast he can get a c-section done. How is timing how fast you can get a c-section done the best interest for my pet?
