THRIVE Affordable Vet Care - Wadsworth Wadsworth, Ohio

I question the "affordable " part of Thrive. The only plus here was the staff was pleasant. However beyond that, I'm not sure how they review so highly. I can only guess people don't get many other opinions before agreeing to their services. I came here to get a estimate for spaying my young cat. My vet, which I've only used twice as I was new to the area and had an emergency come up and they were close to my new home, was very costly and I was hoping to save a little when I found this place and maybe establish a new vet. After going in for a consultation appointment that was between $40-$50, I was quoted close to $400 for spaying her. And, unfortunately, due to the current staffing situation (which I know everyone is short staffed right now), they're also booking almost 6-8 weeks out! I left and called a completely different vet. I explained my situation over the phone and asked if they could give me a quote or if I had to come in first. They were extremely pleasant and quoted me between $175-$200 for spaying her. So, I found my new vet and saved almost $200 in the process. I'd strongly suggest getting a second opinion if you try this place. Just because "affordable " is in their name obviously doesn't mean that they are going to be your best option.

My visit was so quick and easy today . I love to grab toys and treats at the pet store while she’s getting looked at . They called me before I could even check-out and they were super understanding and let me get my things before I came n got her !! Nice staff (:

My very young puppy contracted parvo and this was the first place that would see her and I definitely don’t regret driving a hour to have my puppy looked at and treated. I am very thankful to these people who treated her so good and explained her treatment in detail for me to understand clearly and what I needed to do. These people actually really cared about her well being and they came to my car and completed testing and started treatment without having to leave my car. I will definitely be driving an hour for my puppy to get treatment from them in the future

280 dollars to neuter a 7 month old kitten is outrageous we’re going to take him to pet guards for 35 dollars for his neuter instead …I expected affordable like the name… maybe 100 not almost 300 that’s crazy ~Corina Hermanowski

I bring in my service dog. They respect me with staying with her. Always willing to answer questions and I feel they dont overcharge when on the thrive plus plan. If you dont know ask them.

My baby girl star is a bit fearful of men but they handled her with grace and tenderness. They have a great staff.

The staff and Dr. Clark are amazing and truly care about the animals. I bring all my animals here.

Experienced friendly professional service and excellent treatment of my dog. Have scheduled an appointment for my older dog because of the great treatment received today on my younger dog.

Be very careful when taking your animal here. They say they are affordable, when in fact they end up nickle and dime you to death. Ends up costing more.

I am shocked How ridiculously High they are on spaying my dog. Quoted a price of almost $400.00 dollars. I called another vet and they will do it for less then $150.00 dollars. THRIVE is not a Affordable Vet Care.

I took my 12 year old dog here last week. Unfortunately, Dr. Clark had to give me some heartbreaking news which wasn’t easy for anyone. I could tell he really cared and although I was hoping for a better outcome, I was extremely impressed with the compassion and professionalism of all the staff. I would recommend this vet to anyone and everyone.

These vets are very compassionate and knowledgeable. I dont feel like my pet or I are being ripped off. They are one of the few vets I feel safe leaving my pet in their care out of my sight.

This was our first time visit & will be our new vet! We have 2 furbabies and they will get awesome treatment like our first visit, I am sure of this. I was able to get my appointment in 2 days, everyone else could not see us for at least two weeks. The cost was 1/2 of what we expected. I would recommend THRIVE in a heartbeat. Thank you!

The staff at Thrive are top notch and do a great job of caring for both our dogs and their pricing is very affordable! Why spend more elsewhere.

I really like the vet that was there this time. She was very responsive to my questions and actually offered information and ideas to my puppy's chronic UTI. She seemed genuinely interested in trying to get my pup better. Altho we were just there for shots!

Hannah is always so friendly and professional with my difficult animal. She always has a smile on her face and makes me feel welcome every visit.

These guys were amazing. So kind to my pup. I made an appointment online it was crazy easy, then due to work, I ended up being super late and they called me and moved things around. It was all my fault but they we so kind and accommodating. I will absolutely be bringing my pup back. Thank you!!

I’ve only had great experiences with this vet! We started using them since they opened and right off the bat they were friendly, helpful and accommodating. My dog just loves Mandi at the front desk! Their pricing is better than I’ve found elsewhere and they’re so personable. Will gladly continue using them!

I took my rescue kitten there and they checked her head to toe and made me feel like she was really taken care of. Also very affordable. 100% recommended

They did a great job with my 121lb Great Pyrenees who was less than thrilled with having his ears cleaned. Very responsive, reliable and accommodating!!

The compassion and care of the staff ⚕️ is great. Will return with our remaining dog when needed.

I took my dog to the vet over a month, he was prescribed medication for seizures. He needs a refill on his meds, requested a refill over a week ago via the website, not completed. Called and spoke with a rep by the name of Chavonne informed her of situation of refilling my dogs meds, informed me the business manager would call me back within 20 minutes for an update, no call here I am again today calling yet they agent that answer says the clinic is closed. No one ever called me back, didn’t refill his meds now I will have to come out of hundreds of dollars to take him to the emergency vet to get his medication so he doesn’t have any seizures. They are horrible and if you want good medical care for your fur baby this is not the veterinarian.

Took 7 year old dog they gave me medication said it would work in about 4 days it's been a month not working. Will have to take him to another vet. Have an appointment in 3 days but the doctor and receptionist were nice.

They tried to tell us our dog should be put down when we took her in today we said we didnt want to do that at this point . we took her to a animal hospital an they just called an said our dog will be fine with some cough syrup. Thank goodness we didn't listen to trive or we would not have our lil cloe anymore.
