Pet lovers is literally the most unprofessional vet I've ever been to! I had a standing appointment for my dogs annual for at least a week, probably 2. I was called, THE DAY OF, to cancel the appointment because the vet left at 5. I was later told that the normal vet was on vacation and the cover vets only work until 5. You can't tell me that they didn't know that before the day of!! And then the receptionist got rude with my mom for a misunderstanding. That was rude, unprofessional and uncalled for! Get your act together!! You lost a client!

Do not take your animal here! I took my dog here for a check up. She came back sick so we went back. Then they told us they had to put her down. I don’t understand how we got to this point. Now I don’t have my baby!

Myself and my family have been using Petlovers for over 15 years. Dr. Fryer and staff have always been compassionate, helpful, and accommodating. My pets are always comfortable and happy to see them. Would highly recommend.

I highly do not recommend bringing your animals to the Pet Lovers Hospital. There was an outbreak of kennel cough when my friend took her dog to get groomed(which she was not informed about)and her dog got kennel cough and soonly passed away. This place is solely concerned about financial properties rather than the safety and care of the animals. I’m assuming there was an outbreak of kennel cough because of lack of cleanliness at this place of business. If there’s one thing you take from this let it be to never bring your animals here. It is a terrible place of business. DO NOT COME HERE!!! RIP SPRINKLESSSS :(

We have been using Petlovers for 10 years. I love the care that the staff provides. From impacted cartilage in spinal cord, to Seizures, to fear aggression. I don’t have any complaints

Dr Fryer is the most caring and loving vet, our pets have received the best care. We will always take our pets here. The whole staff is wonderful, caring and understanding. You will be missing out if you don’t take your pet here.

My dog went there to be groomed and caught kennel cough. I heard the doctor yell at the nurse and then she came in with a very red face and tears. She also mumbled alot and I couldn't understand anything. When we were leaving an old lady came up and yelled at the receptionists about her dog who had maybe pooped somewhere. She used foul language and it's just very unprofessional. Why my dog went to be groomed and now has kennel cough? Do they not clean? Do they keep unvaccinated animals there? Seems very dirty to me. The 2 ladies up front seem really nice but really busy.

I don't really know where to start, 2 weeks ago my dog got groomed at Petlovers and not even a while after she caught what they assume to be "kennel cough". So she wasn't really showing any symptoms until yesterday and when I called the vet yesterday they told me that they couldn't get her in until Thursday, but I talked to a rep and she was able to get my dog in and all they did was send her home with a antibiotic and told me to give it to her and that's what I did but not even a hour later she sadly passed away and it was so upsetting. The vet told me that when she was at the vet that same day their was a dog with a case of kennel cough but she just told me that yesterday. I feel that this should've been easily prevented by them at least telling us that there was a dog with kennel cough as that would've told us to keep an eye on her so we could have spotted out coughing in the early stages instead of her getting really sick and them not doing anything to help. Please I beg of you do not take your lovely animal to this place they are horrible. Also the same vet almost killed my sisters dog, they where supposed to give her a full exam but the didn't check her fecal sample like they was supposed to as she was getting a first time exam because she was about a couple weeks. We then found out that she had worms and they was a super rare kind and when we took her back the gave her some medication and she got better from that, But this as well could've been prevented as the should be doing their FULL job that they charged us for. At Petlovers your animal is under appreciated if you don't have a hefty check book. There was plenty other situations that are just a big no no so please I beg you keep your pets safe and far away from this animal hospital.

Our pups received the finest possible care we could have ever imagined. Dr. Fryer cared for both of them the majority of there lives (10+ years) and cared for my wife and I too when the end came. I couldn’t recommend her enough when it comes to caring for your pets.

We've been going to Dr. Fryer for years and she is always so knowledgeable and compassionate. We have somewhat unusual animals (ferrets) and it's hard to find someone who is versatile enough to help them. She knows her stuff and she loves each animal like it was her own.

I have known Dr. Fryer for over 30 years. Long before she owned Petlovers. I know her to be compassionate and hard working, dedicated to her staff, clients and patients, highly skilled and knowledgeable. The recent attacks on her business and on her personally and professionally are not only inappropriate, but they fail to take into consideration the nature of the industry in Veterinary Medicine right now. For the purposes of full transparency, let me share some of our reality: 1. Many comments stated it was unacceptable for the pet that passed to not get immediately seen. Most high quality veterinary clinics are booked out several days, if not weeks. The upswing in pets that have been acquired during COVID has put additional strain on appointment requests, making most clinics run at capacity every day. 2. For those that stated her staff seemed exhausted and "overworked" again, most clinics have a shortage of staff members and have been looking for qualified candidates to hire for over a year but cannot find them. There is a nationwide shortage of veterinary technicians, receptionists and trained assistants. So...why are the staff overworked? Because clients call demanding to be seen and get angry and verbally abusive when told that there are no available appointments, which means double booked appointment schedules, sacrifice of taking time for lunch, not getting out on time. Clock in, do the work of 3 people, clock out late, repeat. 3. We would love to give our staff time off, but when we do it restricts what we can do for our clients and patients, hence further reviews about having to wait until a patient is "really sick" to be seen. 4. There are emergency clinics for this reason. Don't wait until your pet has been sick several days and get angry at your regular veterinarian for serving the needs of other patients and clients. They are NOT sitting in the lobby watching "House Hunters" eating popcorn telling you they are over booked...they are REALLY over booked. Take your pet to an emergency clinic. Might you wait several hours. Yes, but several hours for an emergency is better than several days and a worsening of the pet's condition. 5. For those that question the cleanliness of the hospital and how an outbreak of kennel cough can happen. Well, have you ever taken your dog to a dog park? Do dog parks require vaccine history before intermingling pets from various backgrounds? One dog that is not vaccinated can spread kennel cough to hundreds of dogs. It is an aerosolized infection, meaning barking, sniffing, sneezing...all can be a source of exposure. All veterinary clinics do their best to control any exposure to other pets if we know of a patient with infectious disease...but sometimes we don't know that they have it because the are not clinical or the owner doesn't know or think to tell us they have been coughing. Even with the best practices of cleaning and sanitation, sometimes exposure happens. We are veterinary HOSPITALS. That means we treat sick pets. The situation where a patient died is very sad and tragic. We all have cases that don't go the way we expect and we grieve every loss. Every loss. When a pet dies we grieve, but then we are forced to go into the next exam room and act like nothing ever happened. It is emotionally and physically draining, and then to have to face a barrage of reviews that don't allow us, as professionals, to tell our side of the story without looking defensive or cold-hearted it the reason why the suicide rate in veterinary medicine is so high. We carry the burden of every hateful comment knowing that it will stay in the social media stratosphere as a constant reminder of the cases did not respond as we expected them to. Oh, and for the person that said their dog had seizures because of onions. Onion toxicity doesn't cause seizures. Google it. I know you know how.

If I could give 0 stars I would, I’m not sure how the ratings got so high but this needs to change. The place needs to be shut down immediately. Pet lovers was decent around 6 years ago but now it has turned into a trainwreck. I feel like the upfront staff work very hard but they definitely seem scared by the Doctor or overwhelmed with a tremendous amount of work. My dog started to get seizures out of no where but the Doctor couldn’t give us an information onto how this was happening. We went to a doctor down the street and he did blood work and he knew exactly what caused the seizures it was onions. I do not recommend the Pet Lovers Hospital to an animal owner that is scared for its animals life because you will not receive the care you need here. I repeat DO NOT COME HERE!

I regret coming here and will not be back. You can tell they don't have enough staff and because of it, I feel like my dog didn't get the proper care she needed. The Technician there seems clueless and was always questioning herself. I also heard the Doctor yelling at whoever was in the back with her. My dog was very nervous and for them to be yelling in the back, I know she was terrified. The 2 ladies up front seem very sweet but very stressed out. I don't remember the taller ones name but the other woman was trying to do 50 things at once and looked overwhlemed. My friend recommended them to me and told me that last time she was there it wasn't the best. So I thought maybe it would just be busy, but it wasn't. I do not reccomend you come here if you are new because they will rush through your appointment. It seems like they schedule multiple people at the same time which means less time to talk to the doctor. I feel bad for whoever works there because all you see is everyone running around confused. I will be spreading the word about this clinic because the way I was treated was horrible.

An emergency came up which conflicted with my appointment. Instead of turning us away, she did everything in her power to squeeze us in. Great service. Quick and efficient.

Let’s start with the positive: Veronica at the front desk is super kind and helpful. I really appreciate Dr. Fryer’s response to this service failure. However, this does not change my experience. This place came highly recommended from friends. The google reviews correspond with the personal referral. My initial conversation with Veronica was promising that this would be the place to care for my new baby girl. My appointment was set months in advance. I brought my baby girl home on Wednesday, 2/10, and immediately noticed that something was not right. She was super lethargic, did not want to eat, and just did not seem “puppy like”. I called spoke with the reception who was NOT Veronica and asked to move my Friday, 2/12 appointment sooner- I explained what I’m noticing. She told me it wasn’t an emergency and there were no openings. Thursday 2/11 my baby girl started bleeding with her stool and was still very lethargic and not eating much. I called as soon as they opened and got the same front desk receptionist who didn’t care the day before. She still didn’t really care and I explained that i needed an emergency appointment. She told me they didn’t have openings but they’d try to fit me in at 4p that day, but I can expect to wait a long time. That should’ve been enough for me to find somewhere else, but for some reason I didn’t. I arrived at 4p on Thursday 2/11 and explained my baby girl was lethargic, not really eating, and having bloody stool with each and every use. Dr. Fryer and Becky checked out my baby, said her sleep is normal for a puppy and the bleeding is probably due to parasites because her belly was bloated. They fed her some of their dog food and said she was fine. I was sent hone with a tube to collect a stool sample. 2/11 I collected the sample and dropped it off. Friday 2/12, I got a text message saying my baby girl did not have any parasites and the bleeding is probably from her deworming. I called them and explained that my baby bow had diarrhea and is not eating or drinking at all. They asked me to bring more stool and recommended I buy their probiotic and bland dog food. I did. I just was not comfortable with their lack of care so I called another place for a second opinion. This other place asked me to come in right away for a Parvo test. The other place listened to me and took my concerns seriously, something Pet Lovers did not do. Sure enough, my baby tested positive for Parvo. I called to tell them about my experience. I did not care for Becky’s response, but I will say Dr. Fryer was very apologetic and offered a free follow up visit. Obviously, I won’t be returning. But I do not want it to go unnoticed that she did finally listen to me after almost losing my baby. If you took the time to read this, just be careful with who you chose to care for your baby. This is my first experience with anything like this and my advice is to just make sure that the entire staff is friendly and caring, not just some. And make sure the doctor takes your concerns seriously and you’re not just another patient. This place is not right for me. I’m giving them 2 stars: one for Veronica and one for Dr. Fryer’s response to my complaint.

Same owner for almost 30 years now. She even remembers your pets from a long time ago. Good service and very accommodating. They were also accepting new patients while most were not. They were even able to distract my puppy during his shots so he didn't even cry.
