Our dog had to have surgery and Dr Riggs did a wonderful job as usual and provided updates and feedback. The techs and staff are always kind and gentle and caring to our pets and we appreciate that so much! We have been customers for many years and I only recommend Best Friends!

Dr. Kyle is probably the nicest vet I've ever met. He was extremely thorough, helpful. & caring.

I have been using Best Friends for about 20 years now. They are always honest and great with all my pets and give my all the options I can use. Staff is always friendly and attentive. At times can be pricey but that can be any vet service so I trust them with all my pets. The office is always clean. They even helped with a few of my pets passing away and couldn’t have been more loving and respectful.

Just moved to Powell from Worthington and decided to check out Best Friends for my Cat checkups. Place is clean and people are very nice. Dr was well informed and gave us ample time. Only issue I have is that my cat is declawed and only has rear nails. I was charged $18 for my cats rear nails only trim as most places I’ve gone to gives complimentary nail trim once a year. Seems pretty high to me.

I have been using Best Friends since 1983. I can tell you they are considerate and the best I have seen over my 50 years of using veterinarians.

Horrible!!!! Took my baby, my puppy, my gorgeous and handsome boy to get neutered and the surgery end up killing him. He was fine at first, then got sicks for 3 days end we end up having to put him down unfortunately. He was completely fine until I took him here. Also I know of at least two other people who went through the same pain as we did!!

Best Friends Vet is the only place I take my Dogs. My standard size dachshund Charley was diagnosed with Addison’s disease. When it all started 12 years ago they were the only vet to figure out what was wrong with him. It wasn’t cheap but they knew exactly what he needed and he was able to stay with me until he was almost 14 years old. I miss him dearly. They were so compassionate towards me, in my time of anguish when he passed away in my arms on the way to their office. The whole staff is great, I trust all the doctors, and I continue to take my beagle and my miniature dachshund to them. In my opinion they are the best vets around. Nothing but positive things about this vet clinic.

I loved bringing my dogs to Best Friends, especially Dr Riggs. I had been going to them since we adopted our first dog 16 years who is still with us today. I have always had great things to say about them until Covid. I am not a big fan of a strange person taking my dogs while I wait in my car as they look over my dogs and talk to me on the phone. I do appreciate Dr Riggs calling me and talking to me about me complains and concerns with the restrictions.

I can’t say enough about Best Friends. We just lose our 14 1/2 year old Yorkie Spencer. Dr Riggs and everyone at best friends helped him to have a long and happy life. And after he passed the were so wonderful to help us Through the sadness. Thank you everyone at Best Friends

Had to switch vets in the middle of the pandemic, but these guys have been so great it was painless. They prioritize patient and employee safety so currently for routine visits you can't go in, they come and get your pet and bring them back. They are always helpful and get back to me quickly and I love Dr. Heidrich.

Everyone at Best Friends from the staff to the Dr.'s are out of this world. As a pet owner, I am so very thankful for all of the special attention everyone provides my fur-babies.....Bobby (Loki) and KiKi (Mina). Along with my older kitty Zoe' who Dr. Riggs helped bring her to peace and her next adventures in kitty heaven. So kind, so thoughtful and truly interested in the well being of all animals. From the first day I took my pets to Best Friends, I have received the greatest care and compassion for them. My two dogs and a cat all have case study problems but Dr. Kyle went above and beyond to make sure they got the right treatment.

The vets are expert and kind. The entire staff extend their warm welcome too. They all remember my pets and their needs. The vets and their staff have seen me through some tough moments. They helped me send my sweet 18 year old cat gently over the rainbow bridge. When my kitten’s leg was broken, the staff was calming me and immediately helping her. Her surgery went perfectly, and she healed quickly and has perfect mobility. From the usual to the stressful, Dr. Rigg’s and his colleagues have delivered wonderful care to my pets! Around 1987, we were fortunate to have found Best Friends. We cannot express the amount of trust , confidence, and great affection we have for this veterinary practice. Our daughter, who lives hours away, still brings her pets to Best Friends whenever she can. They have always been knowledgeable, helpful, and professional and they clearly take immense pride and joy in what they do. It shows in how they guide you through painful times and it shows in their smiles and greetings, and the laughter and pleasure they express at seeing you and your pet(s) come through their doors.

Scheduling is always so easy! Everyone there from top to bottom is so professional and helpful!

For almost 34 years our family has been with Best Friends. The staff are outstanding- so welcoming and caring from the moment you walk in until you leave. Dr Ritchie and Dr. Riggs are the most compassionate men when it comes to our pets ( we have had 7 dogs and cats over the years), and their honesty and knowledge is incredible. I have recommended many of my friends and neighbors to this hospital and as long as I have a pet, I know I have a home with them. Josie (our 12 year old chocolate lab) looks so forward to being there but most especially the dog treat when we sign out :) Thank you for many years of caring for my babies.

My family has taken our dogs to Best Friends since it was in a tiny building tucked behind a drive thru. I wouldn't take my sweet pup Rocky anywhere else. Rocky has severe vet anxiety and everyone there is always patient and kind, coming up with solutions for his anxiety and always refusing my apologies for his jumpiness. Dr. Riggs in particular is a miracle worker--the only person who can stick my dog with a needle and still have Rocky excited to see him! But all of the vets, techs, and employees are wonderful. The prices are definitely on the high side but I think it's reasonable for the market they're in, and the incredible quality of care they deliver. Thank you, Dr. Riggs and staff!
