They repaired my vacuum in less than 10 minutes while I waited. I didn't expect such fast service. I'm so glad I took my vacuum here rather than buy a new one. Definitely worth it to keep my vacuum out of a landfill, save money on a repair rather than buy new, and support a local business all in one stop!

I brought this family heirloom, a Damascus Electric made in 1920, into Mr Matthie’s shop on Saturday, December 4, 2021. Within two days, Mr. Matthie called me to say it was ready for pickup. He cleaned and rewired the sewing machine and repaired the motor. I’m so grateful repair people like him still exist! I highly recommend Mr Matthie!

Mr. Massey is wonderful. I’ve used him for years he’s very creative once long ago before there were lift aways he took an old vacuum cleaner of mine that was dead and created the first lift away away

Great to be able to have sweeper repaired instead of replacing. Mr. Mathies does good work, is quick and efficient. I have been going here for years and would recommend him to every one.

I was impressed by all the machines Herbert has repaired over the years. Pleasant and knowledgeable, he is a classic example of a small businessman all customers would want to continue supporting.

I received friendly, professional and quick service. My Shark vacuum had a broken hose between the body and the foot of the vacuum. I could not find the correct replacement part online. The replacement part I had did not fit properly. Mr. Mathie looked at it and said "Well, let's see.." The next thing I knew he had taken the new piece apart and fashioned it to fit the vacuum. Impressive workmanship, and very reasonable.

I called and left a message about my Dyson Ball Animal 2 beaters not working. I got a call back within 4 hours. Before H Matthie would let me bring it in, he had me check a few things, and sure enough, the problem was with me, not the vacuum cleaner. This was wonderful and not only saved me a trip, it made me respect him for not coming up with some way to get money from me. Thank you so much H Matthie Repairs!!!

I must say that this is the best service I received from the owner of this business. Very friendly, professional, fast immediate service as I didn't have to wait very long. His prices are reasonable to fix your sewing machine and he fixes it immediately after checking the machine. Only if its a more complicated issue does he hold the machine in the shop. He is also very knowledgeable about what he does. I would definitely recommend anyone going here to fix your sewing machine problems and I will definitely be going back. I had a sewing machine that hadn't worked properly for years that I had stopped using altogether and I took it to this shop and he fixed my machine in 10 minutes. He was quick it was in the shop for one week, the price was lower than I expected and he ran it in front of me to show me it was running great again.i would recommend this place all day long.

I needed a belt and a beater bar for my Ricca vacuum. I bought the vacuum in Bethel Park and did not want to drive over there when this “repair” store was down the street from me. He immediately said he couldn’t help me. He was rude and I will gladly go back to Bethel Park for my vacuuming needs.

Herbert is a great guy and a pretty decent mechanic -- I only wish that he would retire already so that his customers will come to my shop instead :) And btw, thanks for all of the lemon grass... ba

I am impressed that Herbert Matthie tries to do his best in repairing machines, and the results on each of the sewing machines I brought to him to fix were excellent. After he repaired each machine, they were as good as new - the one where he installed a new motor ended up better than new! Highly recommended!!

He is meticulous in the order process. I found it refreshing as expectations are clear. Friendly, professional and timely. The machine runs and sounds as if it was new. He provided a scrap of cloth to show all features were tested and working as expected as well as an actual demonstration of it working. He gave detailed information on how to operate and store the machine (which I didn't know well). The price for repair was very reasonable and well worth any downside there may have been. If there were any to note, it would be parking. There isn't any. I am not condoning it, but the car rental shop didn't seem too upset that I parked there for the short time I needed to go in and out. Call ahead to make sure he is in. He will get my service any time I need it for sewing machines or vacuums.

They don't make em like the used to! Sewing machines and this shop. A lovely experience, happy to have my serger in working order again. I appreciate the existence of this place so immensely
