I have been taking pets to Dr Shaw for 20 year and NEVER had a problem with Dr or his staff..I would not go any where else.Prices are great also..

We have been taking our dogs here for years they are very polite and very thorough with thier work we just had frank neutered last week and they called the next day to see how he was doing it dose not get much better than that

I rescue cats here in Pittsburgh & I have brought in quite a few of them to Edgebrook Vet Clinic . The staff is always very kind and patient and caring with the animals. Dr. Shaw takes his time to look at each one and answer any questions. He’s fair and overall just an excellent, very knowledgeable , doctor.

Leslie is an absolutely amazing vet tech. She cares about my dog and is so sweet. She’s professional yet kind. Thank you for taking such good care of my Kaze.

The staff were very considerate and caring of my anxious dog. The doctor was professional as well as knowledgeable of what was going on. Also very affordable.

Incredibly kind and understanding staff who made the entire visit much easier. Surprisingly low prices too! A bit of a long wait to get seen, but they had a ton of pets to see before us when we went and we were a walk in. Absolutely worth the trip and 100% recommend them to any and everybody.

We took our dog here while traveling for an ear infection. Multiple staff attended to him for a long time. He got a very through exam and competent treatment. The staff was great and everyone there obviously cares about their job. Also the price was very reasonable.

NEVER bring your beloved pet here! I brought my dog in so she can have a prescription for an arthritis medication, since her back legs have been getting worse and you can tell she was in pain. I also wanted him to look at her eye because it looked like she had an infection starting. I brought her to the examining area in the back. An assistant weighed her and took her temperature. Another assistant came over suddenly, telling me the vet wouldn’t see my dog, and didn’t want to give her anything for pain due to her age... how can you call yourself a vet when I come in for help, and you can tell my dog is on pain, and you do NOTHING to help her! He wouldn’t even address her eye issue either! The “vet” wouldn’t even talk to me; he was nowhere to be found. Very cold, unprofessional, and rude. No apology or anything! I put my dog through so much stress being in a car (she always hated car rides), and that jerk did NOTHING to help her, and didn’t even care! Don’t waste your time coming here! Take your pet to a place that truly cares about their patients.

Dr. Shaw and his staff provide superior care. I have rescued many cats and kittens. Edgebrook's staff has calmed fearful cats and made examination and treatment less stressful for all involved parties. Edgebrook also sells food that is formulated for my cat's special needs. I highly recommend Edgebrook Veterinary Clinic.

Hidden gem! ❤️ I arrived 20 minutes early so my bestfriend would have her spot in line. Pulled up to an empty lot, singed my name and hers on the door went back to wait in the car. Was instantly approached at 1pm as soon as they opened their doors to the public by the sweetest most caring person, saying I was more than welcome to come in. I was so relieved being as tho I’ve been turned down by almost every vet in the city or the wait hours being 6 hours long not promising a visit in time. As soon as we walked through the door everyone of the staff just got sweeter and sweeter, they were so helpful and caring. and honestly just wanted to make sure me and mama were taking care of to the best they could. I watched them try and play with a puppy, get excited about seeing a police dog. Pridefully talk about the horse in the back they love so much. And would greet the next clients by knowing their fur babies names. That’s awesome being as tho they are walk in only they dont know whose gonna come sliding thru the door next.. this is the place to go. I’m so thankful for every single one of them and all the love and care they gave my baby girl mama . Thank you all so much for being such a light in such a painful situation Also I was seen and sent with meds and my bill was 70$! Caine and I arrived to a very clean, facility. I was surprised to see the Dr. as we walked through the front door, he was kind and welcoming! The staff were very friendly and most importantly very professional. I work in healthcare so I have an eye for certain things. Everyone was so nice and took very good care of my pet and explained all of his care in detail including pricing. I left feeling very good about the care we received. I've been telling all of my coworkers about this facility and how wonderful everyone was. I would definitely recommend!! We will be returning...

This place is a godsend!! It was taking weeks to get into any vet clinic in my area and I am so thankful I was able to walk in and get my pup treated. Leslie and Haley and the Doctor were so friendly and kind towards my dog! Care was super affordable too! Thank you guys!!

Was able to come in on short notice. Helped me with my dog’s eye infection and I am overall happy with the trip.

I’ve been taking my dogs here for a few years now and have always been more than satisfied with the services provided. You can tell that they really care. We go here for our annual vaccinations / check ups & most recently we had our 1 year old Pomeranian neutered / microchipped here. They do a great job and it’s much more affordable than most other options. A lot of things wouldn’t even require you to schedule an appointment either, you can just walk in and get the services you need for your animals. So it’s a great option if you don’t want to wait for an appointment or your regular vet doesn’t have availability when you need it or you need same day care. I also don’t think you could get the same services for a lower price anywhere else in the Pittsburgh area.

Drove around for over three hours to find a vet for my dog. Had a hungry family …..finally found a vet that has nobody in line… Very excited… They said we can come in check in… So we did…He said there’s a policy at the door one family member per dog… So I took my daughter and walked out the door. He told my husband with an attitude like that he can’t Treat our dog. My husband kindly walked out. I came and apologized and they said they still can’t help us with that kind of attitude he does not appreciate. And I told him we have a sick dog and you’re turning us down? Really I came and apologized and they said they still can’t help us with that kind of attitude he does not appreciate. And I told him we have a sick dog and you’re turning us down? Really!!!! That is really awful!

We have been taking our fur balls to Dr. Shaw for the past 9 years. My dog Monster actually loved going to Dr. Shaw for his regular check ups. This past week we had to make a decision for our sweet boy that no one ever wants to make. Dr.Shaw and his wonderful Vet techs were so patient and kind to us. They knew how hard it was for us to say goodbye to our boy and I just really appreciate the way they were always so nice to Monster and myself especially in his final moments.

I took my cat here for an eye infection. The facility was very clean, smelled fresh, and the staff worked extremely well with my terrified kitty. I made another appointment for grooming after my wonderful experience. Dash says thank you for fixing my eye!

Dr Shaw is the way to go he’s great with all my animals and always answers every question and is very patient and takes the time to explain everything. We always go to Dr Shaw for every visit or spay/neuter he’s great. I highly recommend.

I have been going here for 2 years, since my dog was just a baby. Dr. Shaw is wonderful. He always takes good care of us. I trust him completely and my dog is like my child. Also the staff is completely amazing. They are kind, polite, and professional. They listen to me, they take my calls even if they are busy, and they explain everything in detail. They show love to my dog. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. I can’t say enough about them.

Recently noticed my normally healthy cat was sick. Dr. Shaw and his staff we're amazing he told me exactly what was wrong and what needed to happen. Was reasonable priced for a surgery that was literally life changing for my cat. Was very caring and compassionate would highly recommend. My nieghbors and other family members also go here

This hospital took an insanely terrible situation and did their best to bring comfort and love to our dog lady and my sister and I. Compassion is the core of their care. Would recommend to anyone.

We have a great experience every time we bring our 8lb chiweenie in. The staff is very kind, knowledgeable, understanding as my dog is very nervous and anxious. The service they offer is top notch, for a very low cost. Highly recommended.
