Since they came highly recommended to us, we decided to take our dog there for a teeth cleaning. Service was excellent and got out the door for less than $500. Impressive. Our dog is recovering just fine.

This is my second visit to them with a second cat. My first visit was excellent; their prices for a spay are extremely reasonable and the overall cost with everything was half of what most vets charge. This visit was equally as reasonable and equally as satisfactory. They took good care of my baby boy. Highly recommend!

The docs are good, just want to be let back inside with my animals. As far as I know they have not reopened the doors to the paying public.

My rescue had to have his eye removed due to an ulcer, he also got his shots and he got neutered. Total of $410 later and they did an amazing job, he got plenty of pain meds and the vet tech was very imformative and made sure we were all set! Low cost and great people ☺

A young lady with 4 children needed help with her cat who had a serious broken leg. They set up the surgery and took donations for Mr whiskers. They apparently thought the leg would need amputated but this vet found away to repair the kitties leg, she neuter him and went above and beyond not charging for the extras. . Many vets turned this young lady away. Thank you for your kindness for Mr. Whiskers. He has a new chance a life.

Took my rescue cat there for an exam, blood work, and neuter. Extremely satisfied with communication on the phone. They were friendly and professional and answered any questions I had. I would go back. Surgery price was also fantastic!

Thought services were well priced but wait time for them to bring my pup out when told a couple of minutes was actually a 45 minute wait but other than that all good

I would highly recommend against bringing your animal here. Our experience with our new puppy has been nothing but horrible. After an unimpressive first appointment with Dr. W, I was just hoping to make it through our puppy vaccine series before switching vets. Unfortunately, each visit has been worse than the last. Despite bringing in our puppy’s vaccine records at the first appointment, I was asked to provide an oral vaccine history at subsequent appointments although it should have been recorded during his initial appointment. I was also asked which flea and tick and heart worm medications my puppy received despite Porter Animal Hospital being the one that prescribed those medications. The information I received was also inconsistent. During our second appointment, the tech told us our dog was 5.1 pounds and the post visit summary said our dog was under 5 pounds. This is significant because the medication options varied depending on whether our dog was over or under 5 pounds. Despite following Dr. W’s instructions for scheduling a follow up appointment, we were told the appointment was too late and that our puppy would need to restart his distemper vaccine series. After consulting with the breeder and others in the field, we informed Porter Animal Hospital that we did not wish to give our puppy a fourth distemper shot but they disregarded our wishes and gave him the shot anyways. We went with Porter Animal Hospital because it was the first place we could get an appointment for our puppy and I can see why. My only advice is to strongly advocate for your animal and keep your own records if you wish to use this animal hospital.

Recently, my cat needed a dental. They did a great job. The whole staff is super helpful and friendly. Very reasonably priced, considering I have multiple pets. Aside from the dental, no pressure ever to buy things or services I don't need. And the new remodel looks amazing!!

I took my 7mo old poodle mix to get fixed. He came out of it nice and relaxed. They sent home pain meds for him. His incision looks amazing! They got us in quick and they made sure to let me know what would happen to calm my own fears. I love them!
