Hard to get into. Dr. Revely is worth the wait

We brought our dog to River Square Animal Hospital because she kept vomiting. It was great that they could get us in the day we called (Saturday). We had labs run and x-rays taken because those tests were recommended and we want to take care of our girl. Dr. Mach mentioned that she might have megaesophagus, which is a really serious condition that can result in surgery and a shorter life. We were obviously very concerned, but the Dr. told us we would have results from the tests on Monday, so we just had to get through our anxieties for the rest of the weekend and then we would have answers. Monday comes around and by noon we have not received a call, so I called them to follow up. I come to find out that the Dr. is not even in that day and no one had planned to call us at all despite the plan that had been discussed during our visit. I then asked if someone, anyone else could please let us know the results of the tests and was told that they didn’t even have the results yet, but they could leave a note for the other doctor although he wouldn’t be in until much later and had patients all day (basically implying he didn’t have time for me). We followed up MULTIPLE times throughout the day to be sure they understood that we needed these results and the other doctor at the practice (who was really great, so cheers to him) called us around 7:30pm to read off the results, but was unable to offer recommendations since we aren’t his patient (seems weird since it’s the same practice, but ok whatever). He brought up the possibility of a tumor so we immediately got back to being worried and figured Dr. Mach would call us first thing on Tuesday when she got back into the office. Nope! We finally get a call from our dog’s healthcare provider the following afternoon, despite having once again called that morning to beg them to talk to us about these x-rays and labs. When she finally called she made some lame excuse about how no one had written some note that we should be called, but obviously we just weren’t high on anyone’s priority list. Not once over these two days of calling the office repeatedly did anyone ever ask how our dog was doing, although we WERE repeatedly asked to pay more money. This wasn't just us being a pain about routine testing. This was a potential EMERGENCY situation that was delayed and brushed off repeatedly by the River Square team. Getting answers from them was like pulling teeth. I genuinely do not believe they cared if she lived or died that weekend. We are so lucky that our pup is now doing fine in the care of a different vet office, but I strongly caution against taking your animal to this practice, especially if they are unwell and potentially in danger. The negligence and lack of regard was appalling, and I truly believe their delays and lack of communication could result in the death of a pet. Avoid at all costs!

I recently brought my fiancé’s dog here for exam and her having problems walking with her back legs. they were very rude and short. Dr Mack was very quick with the exam and not very thorough with her words. She was very pushy ans just wanted to do a bunch of tests and MAYBe she would figure what was going on. and she made me feel like I was doing the Wong thing for our dog if I didn’t Do what she wanted. I feel that I did not get what I paid for and would not recommend coming here. They just try to get you in and out and are not personable. Very unprofessional and about the money. Sad that animal health care is this way.

We have a very reactive doggo and they always do an AMAZING job making her (and us!) feel comfortable during appointments. They work quickly and efficiently, and always have answers for any questions. Seriously, the best vet experience we could ask for.

On time service with very knowledgeable people

The ladies there were super sweet and friendly. They were able to see both my pets at the same time and were very efficient. I felt very comfortable just letting the vet and assistant handle my pets themselves. And the cost was really reasonable, wish I had found them sooner!

Welcoming and caring staff...totally recommended

I had just moved to the area and my dog was sick for the past 2 days. I called around to 4 different vets and everyone was booked including River Square. I was about to call the 5th place when River Square called back and were able to see me in 45 minutes. They tested my pup and he came back negative, but they did give him some pills for his diarrhea. Within a couple of hours his accidents stopped and he was all back to normal.

I really appreciate all of the staff at River Square! They were able to squeeze is in last minute when something came up. The front staff, techs, and vet were extremely kind, patient, and very informative! Thank you!!

I took my dog for an emergency because they are right down the street. Even though I wasn’t a client they took us in immediately. The staff and Dr. Mach were compassionate and quick acting. I am so thankful for there quick actions and have become a client. Thank you everyone at RSAH for saving my dog.

Very unsatisfied with the service here. I paid over $300 for unnecessary examinations and the issue wasnt treated went back today for another $120 of service. Ive been going to this place for the passed 3 years because of the doctor who no longer works there anymore. Dr. Mach does not consider other economic options other than doing 10 different tests to rule out one issue. Will not be coming here anymore as my dog keeps having an ear infection and it not being properly treated!

LOVE this vet! We have been going to both vets for about 15 years with our dogs and cat...from puppy until their elder years. Our family has had 5-6 animals over that time period in all stages of life. Many of our dogs were rescues, only one full breed. So he has seen it all with our pets. From pet anxiety, tumors, surgeries, eating a bottle of vitamins, you name it, our dogs have done it. They are kind, mindful and super caring. Taking their time but not recommending expensive testing when unnecessary. We have always felt love, compassion and high quality care from all of the staff. Wouldn't go anywhere else!!

I have never me a more caring and gentle man. He has been my 12 yr. old Chesapeake Bay Retriever's vet for 11 3/4 of those years. He has been so understanding and respectful of Tobey and that makes all the difference. When my daughter adopted a pup from the Cleveland APL- the people at the APL asked who she was thinking of using as a vet, my daughter said Dr. Reveley. The woman told us that they do their best, they beg and plead with vets to get on the 'complementary vet check' list. Dr. Reveley called them and asked what he had to do to get on the list. No one had ever done that before. Dr. Reveley was Octavia's vet for 6 yrs., until she moved to Washington, D.C. She misses Dr. Reveley. When my son came home from Alaska with a thirteen yr. old Weimeraner, Dr. Reveley became Jos's vet, too. I just rescued a terrier mix puppy and, without a doubt, Dr. Reveley will be Roo's vet for many years to come. Thanks to Dr. Reveley, our pets have received the best care Cuyahoga County has to offer.
