I've been taking my cats here for years. I have 5 cats, all are strays who find their way to my home. The doctors and staff are always knowledgeable and professional, but yesterday I had an exceptional visit. One of my cats doesn't like being touched too much. He gets defensive easily. I know this & know what not to do with him, but it makes vet visits difficult. I took him in for his annual vaccinations & an overall check-up. I told Taylor, the vet tech, that he'll try to bite if you touch him too much. He was scared, of course, and hissed, growled, yowled and tried to get away constantly. I've never heard a cat make such a fuss! I was somewhat embarrassed by his behavior. Both Dr. McElhaney and Taylor the technician were very calm & professional. They weren't rough or mean to him, just gave him time when he needed it and held him tight to keep him from biting. Taylor had to hold him and she did a fantastic job. She even told me that she had had worse cats and she understood that he was scared & wanted to get away. I was so grateful & so impressed with the way they handled him. (In the future I'll have him sedated for every visit.) As for prices, I find them comparable to any other vet I've gone to, but the office is nicer and the staff and doctors are better.

I cannot praise the veterinarians and staff at Green Valley Veterinary Hospital enough. They have gone above and beyond in helping my fur babies, which put my stressed mind at ease. That, combined with their compassion and and eagerness to help, is why I highly recommend them.

Typically, vet visits are absolutely terrible for my dog. She is extremely anxious and because of that, she can be reactive and show some aggression. The staff was very understanding and considerate. They worked so well with her that my dog completely stopped growling and was even allowing them to pet her. This is so much different than my experience at different vet offices. On top of that, they really did provide amazing care and really listened to everything I was worried about. I definitely will be using this vet office from now on!

We switched to Green Valley about two years ago to manage the care of my two dogs and two cats. They have been great, they follow up after appointments, I trust them and they are very thorough. Over the Pandemic... when everything was shut down... my dog started to have seizures. Green Valley was open, and readily accessible for my pet. It was hard not being able to be with her, but she had the care and attention she needed and that was most important. I didn't realize at the time how fortunate I was. During that time, my pets had their routine vaccinations and care, and if anything happened they needed attention, they received it in a timely manner. Recently, my sons dog seemed to have injured herself, not really sure what was going on with her, but my son works full time and goes to school in the evening. His roommate called about the dog not being well, I called his vet to make and appointment to get her in asap. They couldn't see us until October 4th... That was over 3 weeks away. They recommended three other locations... one being the Emergency Hospital, the other two were not open. So we took her to the Emergency Hospital. They were extremely backed up and couldn't see her because she was breathing on her own. The next morning I called Green Valley at 8 am they would see her... not even their patient! We were there by 8:30 and seen a short time later. I did have to wait, but waiting 30 minutes was so much better than waiting 30 hours or 30 days! She is now receiving the medical attention and the care she needs for Lyme's Disease. So glad we didn't wait or make her suffer. Actually, the day my son and his roommate noticed her not being herself was her 1st Birthday. We have seen Dr. McElhinny, Dr. Lawson and Dr. Burton-Hall, they are all top notch. This experience has made me realize I had taken them for granted. I had no idea how difficult the Pandemic has made it to receive medical care for a pet.

Great place they care about your pet and take the to explain everything to you.

I was very impressed by the care given to my babies Jack & Blanca. I'm so thankful that they both were given an extensive exam. They treated them with love and kindness, and explained everything in terms I could understand!! This will definitely be our new Dr.!!!

This is an overdue review as I've moved out of the area before COVID-19. Around January-February of 2020 I came here a few times with my cat who had severe allergies. I had gone to another place with the vet not being of great help. So I found this place, and I can't remember her name, but this doctor knew immediately and helped get my cat on the road to recovery. Over a year later, and after following this vet's advice, my cat hasn't had any problems since. Wish I could find a place like this! Affordable, too.

I just found this place and am so happy I did! My dachshund was being too wild and hurt his leg. My typical vet was booked up for weeks. This place took us in as soon as I called, even with him being new to the place! Thanks so much for being so thoughtful and squeezing us in! You gained a new customer!

Amazing, they have been there for my family and our dogs and have been awesome, even helped us deal with an accidental pregnancy from beginning to end which ended up having to be an emergency c-cection and a litter of 13 which no one seen coming!!! Would recommend them to anyone who wants awesome care for their pets

Extremely friendly staff and very knowledgable. Helped us and worked with us for our dogs first visit. Excellent service, very happy we found them! Dr. Lawson, was awesome to work with and very helpful! He's very knowledgeable, but isn't pushy. They seem to really care about the animals here!

My family has been going here for decades. The quality of care for the patient is top level but also the compassion for the owner is next level. I have been on every end with this company. A client, an extern while in vet tech school, a technician and now that I am a SAHM a client again. I left after three years to persue opportunities at a bigger hospital and even after working at another place for just over two years I came back. I came back because this hospital is a gem. Dr. McElhinny takes so much pride in training her staff to be amazing technicians. Technicians you can count on whether your pet needs a nail trim or emergency services. This place is a part of her and she is constantly trying to make it a better place. All of the staff are educated on the newest medicine and it’s encouraged. This is the kind of hospital you count on from getting that puppy for the first time and when it comes to their last moments. Which unfortunately I just had the experience of going through with them on the client end. They are respectful, well- educated, compassionate, selfless superheroes.

Excellent well trained staff. Very courteous and mindful of what your pet is there for. Doctor McElhinney, ( veterinarian and owner), is exceptional and top in her field. Guided us through heart surgery recommendation for our chihuahua,( which is 9 and normal) and corrective joint problem with the other,( 1.5 year old). With no doubt I highly recommend.
