Friendly staff and the dogs are never crated. We have complete peace of mind when we board our dog with A Walk in the Park. Prices are on the high end but its always worth it when we're out of town.

Our trainer was Courtney. She was very helpful. Lots of good suggestions and antidotal stories. I think it would be better to do it in person though to actually meet the dog and see the environment.

Just picked up my happy dog after a week at “camp”- freshly groomed and tired from all the playing. She is so well cared for there, we do not worry about her at all. I love that they all sleep together. We love the social media posts too! Everyone who works there is great.

I love this place…and more importantly so does my dog! You can just tell that the staff are dog lovers. It’s a joy to see how happy my dog is when we pull into the parking lot.

Cori was great with Loki! She was very attentive to Loki's needs while teaching him new skills. There was training, activities and guided play. Loki made many new friends and was pretty worn out when he got home!!

Archie always enjoys his days at AWITP. The staff is knowledgeable and caring.

Great place that is very thoughtful about dogs and dog care. My dog is a shy little dog that can't be crated because she hurts herself trying to get out. Walk In The Park staff "get her" and ha helped her acclimate to Walk In The Park and become more comfortable with other people and dogs. They are all about safety first. The survey to start going to Walk In The Park is super long, so be prepared ;)...Imsee the length as a positive as it speaks to their interest to really get to know all about your dog and how and where the dog will be most comfortable and to keep all the dogs safe. The owner is super into all kinds of kennel and dog day care industry standards and certifications and the latest trends and research on dogs, enrichment, the fear-free dog movement, fear-free training...They have very progressive views about dogs. The business invests in training for staff and has well-established processes and protocols. This is a great place. More expensive than other places in Toledo area but to me it is worth it because of their philosophy and thoughtfulness about what is best for dogs of various personality, life stage, size...

Excellent experience with A Walk in the Park, highly recommend their services.

They put the dogs first. They are the only shop that was open during the dog flu and remained open during shutdown from Covid. Prices are comparable and the owners are very meticulous about their employees and the welfare of the animals. The only place that I will ever allow my pitbulls to be kenneled or cared for besides me at home.

They have hours that work with my non-traditional schedule. Whenever I pick up Buddy after a day at A Walk In the Park, he comes out with his tail wagging. He is a very social dog, and I’m glad he can play with other dogs in a controlled and supervised environment.

Highly recommend their training program! After just two sessions I am already seeing improvements. So glad we decided to go with a walk in the park!

After taking our dog to another place, who didn’t give her a chance to warm up and had me pick her up 20min after dropping her off, A Walk in the Park took time to figure out our dog’s personality and slowly introduced her to other dogs. After a 1/2 day she was playing with 4 dogs, and had a great day from what the videos showed. Would highly recommend this facility to anyone who has a quarantine puppy that has separation anxiety or a dog that is overly excited, they are amazing!

Nena loves going to the ranch for her spa treatment! Karen did a great job of bathing her and giving her a long overdue cut!

Our beagle loves A Walk in the Park. We put him in Puppy Play Care classes where he was socialized, trained, and mentally stimulated. When he was old enough they introduced him to the rest of the pack and now he just EXPECTS to go back every day. He's so excited and sleeps for two days straight aftwards. We feel so safe leaving him with the handlers. The staff stays with the dogs 24/7 and cage free. They also post videos to Facebook where you can see your little one having fun. I definitely recommend them.

We are new to A Walk in the Park as we just took our Archie to his first puppy play care class and he loved it!!! We were pleasantly surprised when Cori brought Archie to the car and gave us a full run down of his day and what to expect in the future! There was a binder just for us and how best to engage and stimulate our new puppy at home and games to play with him. I felt comfortable leaving him and the team was great!!

Just wanted to give a shout out to the team at walk in the Park we can leave our pet over the weekend and not even worry about him because he’s in such good care.. Love the 24 hour care he gets.. Thanks Tom - Michele and Theo You Rock

They did an amazing job with Kimber! Will be setting up regular grooming with them going forward.

My rescue beagle is very shy. When I dropped her off for her eval, the staff took great care to try to make her feel more comfortable. I had a meeting via zoom before this on site visit. Cori was very professional & friendly too. She answered all of my questions.

We were greeted with enthusiasm & excitement! Cori was great w/Tillie Mae! She explained everything to us in a very helpful way we could understand! We look forward to expanding Tillie Mae’s knowledge & growth in experiences!

Scout our lab pup is obsessed with this place! As soon as we turn into the parking lot she is whining and tail going a million miles a minute.she comes home exhausted from playing. Its convenient to drop her off for daycare and be able to have grooming services done during her day stay too

I contacted a walk in the park about training for my fearful puppy. Cori came over to meet her yesterday and she was amazing with her. I had other trainers telling me my 7 month old pup was aggressive and cori made me feel so much better and taught me so much within a 45 minute consultation. Can’t wait to start classes with Cori!

I'm so impressed by the care provided by everyone at A Walk in the Park. The facility is beautiful. Dirk's exceptional approach to canine care and training was what drew me to this center to begin with, and my golden doodle Stanley agrees wholeheartedly!

Every single person at A Walk in the Park cares about my dog, knows him and genuinely seems to enjoy him. The time our pup spends at A Walk in the Park is worth every penny. He is well socialized and daycare wears him out.

We have absolutely LOVED A Walk in the Park. They have made training and puppy socialization so fun and easy for our puppy! They truly care about your dogs and you. The training has been great! We will absolutely be continuing with training and for Tucker to go to daycare!

We were unhappy with a previous day care due to the fact that they kenneled dogs except for a few hours of playtime. Our dog was not socializing well under those conditions. A Walk in the Park came highly recommended by a friend and since then my husband, myself and especially our dog have been happy clients. Our dog Gracie Jane only has to see her leash to know that she's going to day care and the tail starts wagging. She comes home as toast from a full day of activity. We have recommended AWITP to several friends who are also long time clients. Their method of not crating, dividing dogs by size and temperament and being with the dogs 24/7 makes them one of a kind. They do it right.

The Little Pack is one of a kind. A group of only little dogs with their own special play yard outside and their own special play room inside! Great place for both big and little dogs!!! Dirk and his staff are truly amazing. Dirk is extremely knowledgeable about dog behaviors and he makes sure his staff is well trained and educated. Riley loves her time at daycare - she is always happy going in and just as happy at the end of the day. The kennel free environment is awesome and the dogs are never left alone overnight! Riley also gets groomed at the “ranch”- she does a great job and his gentle with the dogs. Dirk also offers free services like group dog walks - he is always willing to help others with any dog issues they may have. AWITP is the best!
