please be careful, this is NOT an emergency center in the slightest. lobby closed, took 30 minutes on the phone with a questionnaire. if you're pet is in serious condition do NOT go here. we are lucky we got our pet to vomit. you will 100% wait in your car for hours to get updates on your pet (they have no availability for people to come in but tell you the rooms are not clean) They also tell you that they will call you but that just doesn't happen. You HAVE to call to get an update. I was actually yelled at for not calling sooner. Treatment was fine but again, not an emergency center.

Brought my dog in because he was hit by a car. He was bleeding from his pawl, bleeding from his mouth. Whimpered when I went to touch him in a couple spots. After 4 hours I called him to check on him and they tell me he's in a cage seems like he is doing okay. That the doctor is busy with more important situations right now. Call back at the 6 hours mark. Now it's Christmas morning in the receptionist is hanging up on me because apparently they're short-handed and more important dogs came in so he's still just waiting in a cage. I've explained to the receptionist that I could come back when they're able to see him and bring me in the building. But that's against policy and if I leave I have to take my dog with me. Way to spend your Christmas Eve and Christmas.

Took a kitten there that was under distressed from fleas and dehydrated, they gave him fluids and a pill for fleas and sent him home, saw no change what so ever in him if anything he seems worse. Husband held him all night until morning, morning took him to my vet and had to be put down heartbroken

Absolutely the most horrendous vet I've ever dealt with! This is not my first experience; however, it is absolutely MY LAST! I co-own several dogs with people. One of my co-owns ended up there because I she managed to get into the counter and ate several chocolate cookies. Once her vitals were safe and I felt confident bring her home...the absolutely atrocious, most incompetent receptionist I've ever come across told me that the dog was "not mine" and it was none of my business. I attempted to explain to her that I was not only the primary owner...however the legal owner of the the dog (which I was happy to provide evidence of). She instead chose to not to listen to me and in fact chose to hang to hang up one me. The best advice I can given ANYONE is to take your dog to MedVet in Toledo!

Wow this emergency center is amazing. They honestly care about your animal. I've worked in the veterinary field for 20 plus years and I felt great comfort in leaving my baby sphynx hospitalized with them for treatment. Every person we came in contact with was extremely caring. It's super stressful when your baby is sick and the comfort and concern they show eases your mind. Yes the wait is long, but veterinarians are stretched tight right now and great care is worth a wait. We appreciate you so much and are so happy to have found you!!! Picture of our cat sailor because he's so damn cute.

my baby ace cut his chest open and they did great stitching him up and reassuring me he would be okay. He’s all healed now and had no issues with such a big stitch. Definitely would go here again if I need too.

They told us our dog had Pyometra and that she was dying and then quoted us 3k for surgery. After finding a non profit to do an emergency spay, they informed me that they not only lied about my dogs xrays, but lied about why she was sick. She was actually pregnant, and even after saying that could be a possibility they still insisted she had pyometra. Now my dog's puppies are dead and she had surgery for no reason. DON'T take your pets here, cause they just want your money!!

My dog was brought into this vet for an emergency c section. It's now two day later and my dogs guts are falling out of her. 0/10 would not recommend.

Would give ZERO STARS. Called this place this morning. I told them my puppy was having trouble breathing and her paws were cold. They said bring her in and they'll get me in quickly. I waited over 1.5 hours only for my puppy to die in my vehicle. They knew I was bring in my critical puppy and they did NOTHING to help save her. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE AT ALL COST IF YOU VALUE AND LOVE YOUR PETS. THEY KILLED MY PUPPY AND SHOULD BE SHUTDOWN.

We were visiting from out of town and had to visit with our dog after she jumped off stairs and broke a tooth. The staff were very friendly and the vet was very kind. The price was fair, and they referred us to area vets for follow up radiographs. Definitely a good place to go in an emergency!

This place actually told me as my dog was dying, “We are closing soon so we aren’t taking anymore” heartless people! Absolutely heartless! They couldn’t take one more dying dog in distress! Shameful and heartless

Took our 8 year old Schnoodle here because she was having a critical reaction to having a blood transfusion earlier in the day at another facility and was having difficulty breathing. Dr.Amanda and the staff were amazing. They placed her in an oxygen chamber, Dr. Amanda came in and explained everything to us about her situation and how they were going to respond. They kept her overnight and were able to get her stabilized until morning and we then took her back to the Vet who performed the transfusion. She is alive and doing well and we brought her home today. Thanks to Dr. Amanda and staff for helping save our little Daisy.

We were treated terribly and they threatened to not treat our dog because we asked how much longer would the wait be. This was after sitting in a room for an hour after being told we were the next to be seen. We will never return.

They immediately did a parvo test which takes about 15 minutes. However, I waited in my car for over an hour before calling them, only to find out the vet had been available for some time. The stress of not knowing those results even though they were ready was not fun. Good people, but operationally sub par.

I had to put my bestfriend of 15 years down... When I took her the night before to see what was going on.. the night ladies were not that compassionate... But the following day when I decided it's best to put her down the afternoon vet or nurse or w.e was very sweet and kind- that lady deserves a raise - there was no rush n she made us all feel comftorable - my old baby wasn't scared at all and I got to say goodbye in my own time

Absolutely do not take your pet here. my cat ingested some kind of poison and was falling over. They kept hanging up on me while I was trying to check in and lied about the phones not working. then the girl slammed the door in my face and blatantly lied about our interaction when I had someone call back because “they couldn’t hear me” on my brand new phone (but anyone else I called could hear me) There was people crying in the parking lots because no one was helping them. I had a family member call them from another phone and they told them to come on in and they will see the pet. I guess the clinic phone work after all? I am in total disbelief that anyone would lie to someone during an emergency. Maybe that person needs a new job because obviously they can’t handle this one. I hope no one ever treats them the way she treated me during an emergency. I have been thinking about this over and over and cannot fathom why this person acted the way they did and why they lied about what happened that night. If you have a dire emergency do everything in your power to go somewhere else because this place will not help you and they don’t care if your pet dies in the parking lot.

Great staff. Best option in town if your fur baby has a problem on the weekend.

Very friendly and helpful staff. Everything was explained well and they took great care of our kitty. Only negative is how pricey it is, but when it’s the only option in order to get immediate care for your pet, it is worth it.

Horrible! A good friend took her beloved cat (young cat) there after what might have been poisoning with a household cleaner. Her cell phone was cutting in and out so she knocked on the door to explain in person. They were rude to her because she was supposed to call first. They then told her that she needed to "get a hold of herself" or they would refuse her service. Then told her that since she wasn't calm enough she was refused service. I called them to try to help as my friend was so worried about her cat. I was on one line with my friend and them on another. They told me that people can't be upset when there are other people in the waiting area. My friend was not screaming or swearing she was just worried and shaky-voiced. When I said that people can be upset when their pets are sick, they hung up on me. They said that they would not treat her cat. So don't even try if it is a real emergency and you are scared for the life of your pet unless you are very, very calm.

We drove 20 mins to have my dog seen to be turned away when we called. Our dog is having issues with breathing and got turned away because of to many patients. There was only one other car there in the parking lot. Don't say your a emergency vet if you can't even help the animals.

While there was a decent wait to be seen, the staff was friendly and provided the care our pet needed. Would recommend Maumee Veterinary Emergency Center over MedVet!

The staff here was AMAZING with my puppy Roman. Very attentive, had no problem with me calling all the time for updates, took very good care of him & made sure he was loved on. I couldn't be more happier with an office during a time of emergency. My pup needed surgery same day he was diagnosed & they got him in same day. If we ever God forbid, need help again we will come here.

“Emergency Vet” is a very loose term. If you have a pet emergency don’t waste your time here. I realize my dog is more important to me than them… but waiting 3 hours to be seen for a dog who’s pouring blood from his neck is absurd.

My 1 hour wait turned into a 5 hour wait, just to be told they can’t give my dehydrated dog iv fluids because he’s dehydrated. I’ll save you an afternoon and $900 by telling you what they told me. “There’s nothing we can do, you’ll have to take him to the MedVet in Columbus”

My dogs have used this facility twice...once when they ingested rat poison and once when my ornery beast ate chocolate. The dog/s were very sick both times. The treatment was expensive, it's an "emergency room". But...they saved my dog's lives with care and compassion. They explained all the options and risks with several different treatments, with cost attached, and gave me time to decide. I chose to give my dogs the best chance, spent more, and their lives were saved. They updated me throughout the night. The vet techs were genuine and loving to my doggies. The vet sat in the middle of the floor and let my dog climb all over her while she calmly and professionally gave options. I hate people complaining about the cost all the time...when I feel they do their ultimate best to save my dogs! My dogs are worth it and the clinic staff's time and talent is worth it to me!
