Dr Litwak is so knowledgeable that we followed him from a prior practice. We appreciate his obvious concern for our dog, but clinical excellence matters most to us.

I have been bringing my dog here for 16 years. I brought her for her annual check up in March. There was nothing on their website and nothing, said when I made the appointment, that an owner could not come in. Even though I am fully vaccinated I was told to wait in the car. When the tech came out and took her in, I told her if I had known I could not go in I probably would not have made the appointment, but we were there. I did let her go in, but in a few minutes Dr. Wohlfeiler called, said she was an old dog, very anxious, and it would be OK to wait for her check up and they brought her back out. I called monthly to see when they would update their no-owner policy. July and August, we bring her to our summer place in upstate NY. One night she had an arthritis attack with her knee. We did not have her medications with us. The closest animal hospital was an hour away and they were full, and not sure they could see her. All the local vet offices would not see a "new patient" even if the dog was in pain. Dr. Wohlfeiler retired and none of the other doctors would call in her medication, because it was more than a year. They were the ones that cancelled the appointment and had the rediculous policy of not allowing owners in--much longer than it was necessary. The only vet that would help was a telehealth vet (vetster.com) That was worth every penny. I will not be taking my dog back to Lyndhurst Animal Again.

I have a service dog and am very selective about who treats my dog. Lyndhurst Animal Clinic does an excellent job. They are very thorough and never rush trough an exam. The give options and listen to what I have to say. They are very knowledgeable and know to take into consideration my dogs purpose when suggesting any meds or changes in diet and when asking about her health. Highly recommend.

Place has gone downhill rapidly. Totally misdiagnosed our dog. In the 10 minutes they were with our dog they said he has anxiety. Within a hour at home he could barely move. Immediately brought him to the VCA and he was diagnosed with extreme pancreatitis. Spent 3 days in there and is much better. Avoid this place like the plague.

Wonderful! Love how the technician and vet (Dr. Taddeo) come outside to chat prior to a procedure. Pleasant and wonderful staff!

I love our vet, and he's truly the only reason I still go there. The new policies they've implement this year, and their new front desk staff are rude. Every single interaction I've had with them has been off-putting.

Dr. Taddeo is great with my fur baby. As a first time pet owner, everything can be overwhelming and stressful. Dr. Taddeo puts me at ease because I know she will take great care of my dog. She is thorough, attentive and cares about my pup. The office staff members are always friendly and pleasant to work with. I will not go anywhere else!

Brought both of Siberian Huskies in for their bortadella vaccinations. Dr. Litwak came to meet me in the parking lot, he is new to me as we usually see Dr. Taddeo. Short appointment. I believe that pet owners SHOULD be allowed to accompany their animals during their visit. I have entrusted Lyndhurst Animal Clinic for many years with the care of our cats and dogs.

Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Don't necessarily love close by, but so much better than any of the vets near me.

Dr. Taddeo is wonderful. My family has been coming here for over 30 years for all our dogs. When I got my own dog and she needed a check up, Dr. Taddeo saw us right away. All the staff are great as well. Very safe with covid protocols. They really love pets here.

Pups are treated to doggy sausages and cheese whiz their first time there while the doctor and vet assistant give them a check up. Very professional, friendly reception from the receptionist during check-in and check-out. Parking space is limited and is not visible from the street. Parking space is hidden in the back area of the adjacent doctor’s office to the right. This means it is shared with the doctors office. You should see an arrow pointing forward from the street indicating that there is a parking lot area in the back behind the adjacent doctor’s office. If you park in the nearby Blue Aquarium parking lot, you may get towed.

Brought my 4-month-old German Shepherd Alaskan Malamute mix here for his 4-month follow up appointment. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, owners are not permitted in the building and instead an assistant comes out to take the pet inside. I had to sit in my car with my pup 30 minutes past the scheduled appointment time, and traffic in the parking lot suggested they were quite overbooked. My pup was pretty anxious by the time they finally came and got him. A short 10-15 minutes later they brought him out and I received a call from the vet. The vet informed me that he sat on the floor and gave my pup treats for "a good five minutes" but that my pup tried snapping at them when they did the exam. So, they had to put a muzzle on him to do the exam. The vet said my dog was very anxious and recommended anxiety medication and a veterinary behaviorist because of his snapping. Needless to say, I am absolutely horrified that they put a muzzle on my young puppy. My young puppy being away from his owner, after sitting in a car an extra thirty minutes, and then rushed through a 10 minute exam, it is no surprise he was anxious and scared. I can't believe they would cruelly put a muzzle on him, I would have much rather paid for the five minutes of their time and left without my dog being mishandled and traumatized by a muzzle. We will not be returning to this clinic; it would seem very cruel to my pup to take him somewhere where he is treated this way. It's unfortunate that everyone has to deal with the changes of COVID-19, but Lyndhurst Animal Clinic should be reducing their booking to make sure the animals are treated in timely and appropriate manners, especially when they aren't allowed to be with their owners during exams. Really disappointed in this experience, we will be looking for a new vet.

Not anywhere up to the high standards they were at since it has been sold. Plus why are they charging $80 for an office visit when every other vet charges $55. Maybe (and I stress maybe) that made some sense when Dr Wohlfeiler was running things because then the quality of care was at a very high standard, but now with them being taken over it's not what it was plus the people running it now aren't very nice. I think when you had a business where everyone felt so comfortable and it had a mom and pop kind of feel that it's very sad when it gets sold and none of the patients are informed of this. If you don't believe what I'm saying try and get Dr Wohlfeiler on the phone. Good luck.

I love this vet they have seen so many of my fur babies. One of my beloved animals died before they could even see her. The vet sent me a hand written sympathy card. My animals aren't treated like a number here and I love that. I moved almost an hour away from this vet but I continue to go to them because of how good they are.

Recently moved to the area and was looking for a local vet. Receptionist on the phone was very nice when I called to make my appointment. Brought my dog in for an annual check up, fecal test, heartworm test, and nail trimming. Vet tech who came to my car to get my dog was very pleasant, and before my dog was examined the vet called me and asked if I had any concerns. I discussed my dogs previous health issues but stated it was just a normal annual exam and I just wanted to make sure everything was good. Vet tech brought my dog back after a while but other than saying how he was well behaved, she didn't really tell me how the checkup itself went, or if the vet had any concerns for something I may not have noticed (my dog is 5 so he's starting to creep closer to being elderly). I figured the vet would call me once the fecal and heartworm test came back and we'd discuss overall how my dog was doing so I didn't think much about it and decided to wait. It's been 2 weeks and I never received any follow up from this clinic. Not even an email. I was never asked if I wanted to follow the "No news is good news" for his test results (which I'm usually fine with, but everywhere else I've gone always asks to make sure). I understand the pandemic has made things more stressful for vets who are having a sudden large influx of customers after the stay-at-home-order lifted, so some of the formalities and usual customer service has been sacrificed to make up for how busy they are. Yet at the same time I feel like I paid $150 and took time off work so my dog could have a 15 minute field trip where he got a couple dog biscuits and cheese wiz. It's unfortunate because I chose Lyndhurst Animal Clinic because of all the positive and raving reviews I see people on here giving them, but aside from the pleasant attitudes of the 1st receptionist and the vet tech, I didn't really feel any of the compassion or caring that others talk about. I completely understand that not being able to go in takes away from some of that connection with the staff which is why I didn't feel right giving a lower rating, but I won't be returning.

I recommend this place for your puppy! My buddy had broke his canines and was told by my friends they would fall out eventually. But they didn’t and my dog was in pain. But the Doctors there did a great job with abstracting his puppy teeth and his new teeth grew in perfect and he’s back to normal now! Professional place and friendly staff!

Fantastic bedside manner during Covid-19 precautions. You wait in your car while a vet tech takes your animal inside. Afterwards the vet who saw your animal calls and explains results. My wife had all her many questions answered and was very satisfied.
