Columbus Humane Hilliard, Ohio

This facility is absolutely gorgeous! I went in about an hour before they close and everyone was super helpful and nice! I love the cleaning standards they hold for all of the people coming in and looking to adopt. They require you to wash your hands in between each cat we help. All of the volunteers and workers were amazing. I ended adopting a cat and I love him. The process where they walked me through his history and caring for him was so smooth. I cant say enough great things about this place and will recommend anyone whos looking to adopt to come here!

I went in to adopt D’ussè and had a wonderful experience. I fell in love with him immediately. Paid the holding fee and came back today to do the adoption paperwork. While I was waiting in line, another couple said they were there to adopt the dog I put a hold on! I suggest if you want to adopt a dog but need to put them on hold. please make sure to come back EARLY the next day so that you can sign their adoption paperwork. I can’t wait for the many more years I get to spend with D’ussè ❤️????????

If i could give zero stars, I would. I was extremely disappointed in the staffing here. They were very rude & dismissive. We were hoping to take a dog home & it was as if they were not interested in letting us take one home from the moment we walked in. I am very curious as to what type of “training & certifications” they are required to have to work there. They acted as if they were all knowing & had years of experience, even after one girl admitted to only working there for a couple weeks. The selection of animals was great! But due to the staffing we will NEVER rescue a dog from there.

Great place a lot of animals and the place was clean we adopted a pet he got excited made a mess the lady clean right away she was atop of everything from adoption papers to helping other people it was Saturday morning before the Ohio state game

My friends cat was taken here. We called about it and were told they can’t do anything. My friend had to have someone else care for his cat for a while, and this guy dropped the cat off with no warning or even asking if my friend could take the cat back yet. They’re just fine with animal theft and not helping reunite animal and owner.

The kittens are 100$ okay I understand thats fine... but in order to get a kitten you have to get 2! Crazy.

It was good for me but my poor sister goes and has 9 cats and gets 1 cat food and 1 letter that's two times now what's up with that???

The people were polite but when we gave them a friendly stray cat they didn't even wait a week to euthanize her. warning to anyone who is thinking about giving up a pet or stray.

So I went to this shelter to get a kitten for my kids and the two girls up front probably both in early 20s was very rude kept following me around the place then when i told them I wanted to get a kitten I was told I couldn't get a kitten because I needed to go home and watch YouTube videos on how to properly take care of a cat because I have young children. I have had several cats before so this was not my first cat as I told them that they still refused to sell the kitten to me made my 8 year old daughter cry. Will not be going back to this shelter ever again and will be getting a really nasty call from me in the morning.

Well I had a referral for my 2 kitties to be Spayed and Neutered at Columbus Humane which costs me nothing out of pocket! Staff was so professional at explaining all the detail. Extra nice! Columbus Humane most definitely gets an A+ from me. Thanks a bunch!

They have always been very helpful to us with the Cats/Kittens, that we've found in our neighborhood. And the staff is always very friendly.

Went to visit and adopted a new friend. My second time adopting and it was a great all around experience.

They helped me get a stray, I found, all the way together and we've now given him a new home

I called them to report, a little dog named Pebbles. Whose being neglected. They went to her house the next day. The case is still open

Really judgmental people honestly very disappointed

I called this facility today.We live in the Salem Village area. I've posted a picture of the 2 dogs I'm referring to... I reached out to them for help with the neglect, lack of care of 2 dogs that live next door to us. The woman that answered the phone didn't give me her name although I gave her mine. I explained the concerns about the 2 dogs being left inside the house for 8 to 10 hrs at least 4 days a week with no AC. Barking constantly the entire time she (the renter) is not home!! Not being let outside to go to the bathroom. Not being walked in over a year. Why they don't get to be outside is disgusting ☹️ She didn't seem to care one bit. She didn't care that I told her the dogs are likely NOT licensed, registered and or vaccinated ?? ???? She didn't seem to care about the fact that whenever they have been outside NO waste has been picked up once again in over a year. We're working with Cols. Code Enforcement Agency re: the neglect of the house, back patio hoarding, overgrown trees and lawn. We can't sit in our own backyard because of the smell from our neighbor's backyard. One of the dogs is a PIT BULL the other is a large mix breed. Both dogs are extremely aggressive ????!!!! I will be contacting the shelter at Tamarack and Morse Rd tomorrow when they open. I will never contact this facility again nor would I recommend this facility. Very disturbing to me and our neighbors ????

We were able to adopt our orange kitten from here with an easy process. We appreciated how helpful and nice the staff were there. It was easy to schedule an appointment online. We also found it helpful that the available animals were updated daily, so we could see them beforehand too!
