I just had my first appointment at Cheshire Crossing Animal Hospital. It was wonderful. Dr. Ballard spent so much time with my dog and me and explained everything he was doing. He gave a very thorough exam of my puppy and even gave me money saving tips for pet insurance, food I could get that would be cheaper and yet still healthy, etc. I was very impressed. I drove by several other closer vets to get to Cheshire. It was worth the drive.

Everyone at the office was so friendly and wonderful with my new puppy. My pup is very timid and they took the time to make sure he had a great experience! Thank you so much for everything!

I’m switching to this practice! they bent over backwards to help me when I couldnt get my new puppy in with my regular vet. (Mann Vet Clinic) He’s teeny tiny 4lbs, and had diarrhea and no appetite! My own vet has been slammed with patients and refused to run a fecal without the wellness exam first, Which was out a month to schedule! He just needed the right medicine to help his stomach until then, but they wanted to send me to medvet! I can’t afford that just because they were too busy. I called around and this office came through! They have the kindest staff and are doing everything in person. They were happy to run a fecal checkand prescribed meds for Coccidia. He is now way better and will have his full checkup with them tomorrow. Mann Vet Clinic is still making owners stay in their vehicle, which is not best for the animals anxiety or communication durning exam. I think vaccinated owners should be able to enter!! Thank you Cheshire Crossing

I have 3 labs and all are well cared for and Dr Ballard and Dr Carpenter equally care for all 3! My eldest dog had a severe case of vertigo which is pretty well gone! And a horrific UTI! All treated and taken care of. Both doctors are very educated in our pets and medications and treatments! Thank u to both!!! And staff

We had a very positive experience for our dog's recent neutering appointment. Cheshire Crossing Animal Hospital and Dr. Ballard were very professional, kept us well informed throughout the day and took great care of our puppy. Thank you for providing great service!

They have the very best, caring technicans and the absolutely most highly trained vets in this part of the country. VERY caring of their patients as well as the patients "parents".

Vets and staff are so caring and truly good at their job. They understand that vet care can be expensive and don’t try to upsell on things that aren’t really needed. They make me feel so at ease to leave my fur baby with them if it’s needed. I highly recommend them for all your veterinary needs.

Dr Carpenter was great, I brought my cat in for an annual check up and shots on Saturday morning and by Sunday evening he was still not acting right. I sent an email to Cheshire animal hospital expecting to hear something Monday morning when the office opened but instead had a return email within less than 5 minutes. With suggestions to help as well as several follow up emails that evening including an offer to see my cat first thing in the morning. He ended up bouncing back on his own within a few more hours and did not need to be seen again, but I was very appreciative of the quick reply and guidance.

Great animal hospital! Took our cats for their first visit and had a great experience. The vet called us personally to discuss our cat's health and he was honestly great! Went over everything in detail and took time to answer any questions. Really like this place!

We have been taking our dogs to Cheshire Crossing for over 12 years, they are friendly, caring, and take time to explain everything to us. The care they give our beloved fur babies is exceptional.

If you are looking for a new Vet/Animal Hospital or want to make a change, this is the place to go!! All the Doctors and staff are fantastic. They are very thorough and explain everything in detail so you can leave the office with a good understanding of what is going on with your pet. They work closely with Med Vet and OSU which is a real plus if your pet needs more extensive help. They have more diagnostic equipment than any other vet office we have been to. This makes diagnosing a problem much easier and quicker. We especially love Dr. Ballard. He has been with us during the good times and the bad (so supportive and compassionate when we had to say goodbye). We are so grateful to have found such an incredible place and wonderful people to help us care for our pets.

If you are worried about your pet or think you can do nothing else, go to Cheshire Vet. Dr. Ballard saved my cat's life. My 12 year old cat was having bouts of constant diarrhea, to the point where he had to be isolated in a single room in our home. He appeared very sick and his regular veterinarian discussed that he was either an IBD kitty or had cancer, common in cats his age. We had multiple ultrasounds, bloodwork and fecal tests done. We opted not to have a biopsy done because he was already so sick. There was no reason to do put him through that. I brought him home and discussed when to put him down. A co-worker recommended Cheshire Vet. When we got there Dr. Ballard gave my cat the most thorough look over he had ever had. He re-ran the ultrasound (an OSU expert came to the clinic to do it). At first I was thinking I am going to pay for another ultrasound and we may just find the same thing, ugh. But I would do anything for my cat, so here's my money. The ultrasound and culture tests revealed my cat had a bacterial bile duct infection. My cat could be treated with antibiotics. Dr. Ballard got him the specific treatment and my cat is healthy today. I almost put. my. cat. down. because another vet ran out of ideas. When my second cat was sick, long history of respiratory illness and other things, I took her to see Dr. Ballard. He treated her on her last day of life, keeping her in an oxygen chamber and monitoring her health. He was honest that the x-rays of her lungs did not look good. I was able to take her home with some treatments, but she did not get better. By 2:00am on that day she had saw 4 more vets, some at MedVet. They confirmed what Dr. Ballard had said and all recommended euthanasia. I lost her that day. I absolutely love this vet clinic and the services they provide. I would drive hours to get here.

I've been so pleased with the care my cat Sarah has received. I've been to several vets over the years, and Dr. Ballard and his staff are by far the best I've worked with. They are taking such good care of my little girl!

Are mainly concerned with capital and not as genuinely concerned with helping animals . Understandable, but all vets should be invested in their work to the point where the animal comes first .

We relocated to the Lewis Center area recently and with two cats...needed to find a new veterinarian closer to home. Cheshire Crossing came recommended from neighbors. We have been very pleased with our experience. We brought our 18 year old cat as a new patient. The staff welcomed us warmly and provided a low-stress visit experience for our cat...who is not a fan of car trips and doctor visits. Dr. Ballard performed a very thorough exam to get to know us and our cat. He found some dental issues which will require some additional work. His care and passion for his work is evident. He explains everything clearly and immediately made us feel comfortable with the procedure and care that they will provide. I'm very happy with our experience and we're confident our pets will get excellent care here!

Everyone was amazing! Due to covid it is curbside but the vet called after seeing my two cats and gave me so much info. This is the first time I've taken my new pets to a vet and will take them back here for sure.

This is a really nice clinic to take our pets to. The doctors know how to diagnose ailments and conditions quickly and accurately, make suggestions and offer detailed information, are PROACTIVE in caring for our pets which we like very much, and it's a clean and professionally-maintained clinic. They genuinely like to care for clients' pets and give full attention to concerns, and are very sensitive during difficult times. I drive an hour distance to get this high-quality care and it is truly worth it! Their office visits are priced very fairly and I feel we are getting the best care compared to other vet clinics I have visited over the years. We appreciate their care a lot!

I could not be more pleased with the care of my two year old German Shepherd! Unfortunately, she had to get teeth extracted due to an infection, but Dr. Ballard took amazing care of her. Previous vets told me this would be a lifelong issue, I would need a "savings account for my dog" and her future was questionable. In her consult, Dr. Ballard explained what needed to be done and why and made me feel so confident with his care and that my dog would be perfectly fine. Throughout the day of the surgery, I got several calls (from Dr. Ballard himself) in which I was updated on her progress and how she was doing. One week post surgery, I have a happy, healthy pup, just with a couples less teeth. Thank you so much Dr. Ballard and everyone at Cheshire!

Want a vet that cares about your dog as much as you do? Go here. Dr Adam was extremely thorough from start to finish and made sure I understood everything he was doing. I can't speak highly enough of the entire staff at this place. Blown away!

I'm so happy I found this animal hospital! Dr. Ballard is amazing. He is honest and trustworthy with pricing and necessary procedures. He takes the time to explain everything and answer any questions. The staff is awesome as well. Olivia is always so friendly and so pleasant to speak with. I would highly recommend Dr. Ballard to anyone looking for the best care for your furbabies.
