My pets aren't as big of a fan as I am ???? but they are great and ask questions and take what I have to say about my pets seriously. Also the people are just super friendly

Hi, my name is Angela, and I would like to share a heart wrenching story with you about my Rottweiler Companion “King.” Our Beloved Rottweiler “King” suffered for years unknowingly from osteosarcoma cancer and passed away on 10-10-2021. I'm a proud pet owner who took our Rotty routinely for visits to The Village Veterinary Clinic located at 6529 Wilson Mills Road, Cleveland, Ohio 44143. I explained Kings’ (my pet) rear leg pain symptoms during numerous visits and without providing X-rays or bloodwork the Veterinarian first diagnosed King with being overweight and when his weight was no longer an issue she diagnosed him with Arthritis of the leg and prescribed Dermaxx. I even mentioned he had small lumps on his skin and the nurse stated "those are pimples they will go away" Kings’ pain and suffering became unbearable. The lack of quality services, professionalism, and not having addressed my concerns in which I clearly expressed to address the issue appropriately in a timely fashion, or for being unaware of the problem escalated into the loss of our trusted companion “King.” Prior to his passing, I decided enough was enough and observed that he was in a lot of pain and warranted emergency care. Kings’ energy seemed to be sapped out of him daily from the persistent pain. We literally tried everything we could think of to alleviate the pain. I took King to a 24 hour Veterinarian who provided Preventive Care quality services, detected, and diagnosed King with cancer during the initial visit. I was informed by the 24-hour Veterinary Clinic of the cancer on 10-4-2021 six days prior to KING PASSING. Let the record reflect that if The Village Veterinary Clinic Kings’ Primary Care Veterinarian would have provided King X-rays and bloodwork to rule out the pain and discomfort in his leg from the onset, I am sure our “Big Guy King” would still be alive today. The Village Veterinary Clinic clearly failed at providing Preventative Care. Preventative Care is a checkup to detect early symptoms or indicators of disease and to prevent problems before they occur. King should have received examinations that examined his entire extremity from nose to tail, checking each body system for proper functioning by an experienced doctor and /or staff. This measure would have given our pet a better quality and quantity of life if the cancer was detected sooner. But due to the lack of not providing bloodwork, X-rays, and urine to detect diseases during routine visits of our pet, King did not have the opportunity of receiving a better prognosis to extend life. Undeniably, the staff at The Village Veterinary Clinic lack in experience of treating and curing pets. As a former client, I know that they cannot be trusted to help when pets are sick. As such, Illness Exams are not provided that treat the whole animal and use of the best diagnostic methods to help determine what is wrong with your pet is not being done. The Village Veterinary Clinic level of expertise in the care and well-being of pets warrants immediate attention. “King” our pet Rottie will truly be missed and will live on in Our Hearts Forever.”

Dr Cathy is the best. Very compassionate and great and always took great time to listen as well as provide opportunities for treatments, labs, etc.

Today, I took my 10 week old Miniature Goldendoodle for his first appointment. I was so impressed by how caring the employees are and how efficient the office is run. Every question I had was answered and I would highly recommend Village Vet to anyone.

Always take good of our pets and are very clear on what is needed vs what we should do to keep our pets healthy.

Village Vet is a great option for my two beautiful malamutes. It is close, has Saturday hours and offer tons of services. A bit pricey for non-insured pets, but a quality experience.

I LOVE this vet clinic! They are so kind, passionate, and knowledgeable! I just recently got a new puppy who I brought in for vaccines and a wellness exam and they were so attentive and great with her. They had a cute little sign in the exam room that said “Welcome Athena”! Which I loved and thought was so kind of them! The staff let her come home with a little stuffed lamb that she took from the front. I also take my other dog Zeus here and he gets so excited to come here that he practically jumps out of the car! They are fast, responsive, professional, and really show your animals lots of love! Highly recommend!

Had my dogs 1st appointment this week and loved Dr. Katie and Candy. They are both super sweet and we’re able to answer all my questions and offer advice. Thanks for making my visit enjoyable

I switched to this vet clinic a year ago. Just met Dr. Katie for the first time I thought she was fantastic. The only problem I have with this office is that twice now my dog had some issues with a bad yeast infection in his ear and was shaking his head so violently. Called and was told that the soonest available was almost 2 weeks out and to call back by 8:30 the next day to see if anyone has canceled. I’ve had dogs for over 20 years and any vet that I’ve ever taken them to always had emergency openings to see the dog that day. So had to go to VCA ( they were great) I’m pretty bummed about this.

I trust the team here. They always provide options for care, get you in when you need it - they care for my pup as much as I do.

Everything was very clean. Can't understand why only one person can accompany their pet into the building. Dr. Lynn was very thorough with my cats exam. She followed up with lab results exactly like she said she would.

When I called this location the receptionist was very rude and short with me. I had ask the receptionist a few questions about their services and dates of availability. However, she was so impatient that she didn’t even answer all of my questions but instead scoffed and hung up the phone. I’ve called several veterinarian places to find the best care for my American short hair cat. However, I would NEVER recommend this location to anyone with pets.

I am so thankful for the compassion and care shown by all of the doctors and staff at this location. We brought our two littermate cats in when they were young, moved away, and returned recently because they have aggressive congenital heart diseases. Through normal checkups, minor illnesses, palliative care, emergency situations and even euthanasia we received knowledgeable and empathetic care. Visits were quick, and limited the stress to both our Han and us parents as much as possible. If extra time was needed for us, it was given. At hone calls to check on progress after visits. Fitting us in as necessary for crazy appointments - so responsive. Everyone speaks plainly and frankly, we really dove into what’s best for our furry family. Thank you Dr. Cathy, Dr. Keith, Dr. Katie, Dr. Jo, Debbie, and anyone I missed (we’ve seen almost all!) for taking care of both our boys. I trust each.

Our dog was having heart problems and their veterinarian, Dr. Kathy said her heart was fine. This was misdiagnosed as she passed away from congestive heart failure a week later. Second veterinarian (from different vet) said her heart murmur was severe and it’s high grade should have been diagnosed by Village Vet Clinic. We are incredibly hurt and saddened by our loss and should have never taken our dog here. Addressed these concerns in a letter and have never heard anything back.

Four years ago we adopted a sad older puggle with rotting teeth whose human companion had passed away. Dr. Cathy & the wonderful VV staff helped us give Bailey better health & a few extra years. Drs. Keith & Samantha saw Bailey as well, offering the same skilled, compassionate care we'd come to expect. As difficult as it was to finally say goodbye to our Bailey, the VV family somehow made the process comforting. I'd recommend them in a heartbeat!

Like Family. Every dog and cat we own or have passed on were given the best of care with kindness. The Vets and all staff are like 2nd family to our 4 legged loved ones. Thank you for all the kind and healthy years you have given our furry kids and for being there for us. Mark and Maureen Reich

Our whole family can not be more happy with their knowledge, skill and professionalism when dealing with dogs across the age spectrum. Dr Keith’s skill repairing torn ACL’s is unparalleled. Our almost 10 year dog recovered so well you can’t even tell she spent the beginning part of the year hobbled. Also, with the precautions necessary during the pandemic, they have integrated safety measures while keeping our pets safe.

If I could give 0 stars I would. My dog normally sees a different Vet clinic by my home. However, I work near Mayfield and have taken him to be seen at Village Vet clinic. It has been a couple years since he has been seen there. Two weeks ago he tore a dew claw and was seen and treated for it at his normal vet. I am in need of a particular boot to keep him from licking at it, which his normal vet doesn't have. So, I reached out to village vet and they are refusing to sell me the boot that I need for him. Despite being able to provide any documents that the need was there. In these difficult times(not bring able to work, and so on) I cannot believe the absolute disregard for a pets need as well as the money hungry attitude by a business that is still allowed to operate and make money. I am INCREDIBLY disappointed and disgusted and would encourage anyone to not support this way of conducting business.

For nearly ten years, our family has benefited from the exceptional care and service at Village Veterinary Clinic. You have helped us during emergencies, unusual travel issues, and regular lifespan care. Gumdrop (my Maltese) is always cared for with the highest standards of medical knowledge, detailed service and compassion. Thank you, Dr Lynn Proctor, other veterinarians, assistants and reception staff. We are your fans forever.

Dr. Keith and Dr. Samantha are the best vets I've ever worked with. Not only do they have a superior knowledge of veterinary medicine, but they genuinely care about your pet. I never feel rushed as they take as much time as they need to really understand you and your pet.

Every employee cares deeply and exhibits such professional excellence. My dog, who is usually a huge barker, went calmly with the tech when it was our time for our appt. The contact less appt worked so well and efficiently. Thank you! We will continue to take our pup there!
