Deborah Workman is angry and rude and put a dog's future (probably its last year) at risk because she was upset with someone over an arbitrary rule her organization initially approved of breaking in a disclosure request. Edit to respond to owner of business: No, I stated in your group that I tried four agencies. The local channels aren't accepting animals. I also reached out to our local professionals responsible for these things-- they're close friends of mine and I speak with them often-- and I was told to search for shelters, because everyone, including the pound, was full. I called your organization, which was rude, but it is what it is, and was told to use that Facebook group. I went to the group. I answered the questions and said I was specifically there for that reason and was approved. I posted and two ladies got upset while most were actively helping. I told those ladies, very politely, that if they have other methods and wanted them practiced, then they were free to the old guy. I lost my contacts, because I was immediately blocked after some great conversations without warning. You're misconstruing the situation, because you have a mission for pets, which is lovely, but completely lack people skills, which is the point of my review. If people want an old dog and have someone helpful and not rude, then go somewhere friendlier and less ego-driven.

We adopted our 11 year old dog Chelsea (renamed Moody) in November of 2018. Wendy, who was Moody’s Foster mom and also works for the Sanctuary for Senior dogs, was a great person to work with and is doing the Lord’s work. Not many people want to adopt an older dog, but I can tell you from experience that it is very rewarding. Our ‘new’ dog came to us with so much character and ready to join our family. A fine organization that has a very good purpose.

My first visit was December 16th. The staff is friendly and the place is small yet inviting. You are encouraged to get to know the dog and ask tons of questions to the Foster mom. I was super pleased with everything and I have an adoption approval pending. I left feeling great. I might add there are treats for humans even!! You are also given literature of the adoptions. There are pictures all around of happy dogs. Thanks for being here in Ohio.Brenda

We adopted our sweet Blanche aka “Blanchette” from the Sanctuary for Senior dogs almost a year ago now! We love her so much!!! She fits right in with our crew! She now has a blind and deaf Senior Poodle best friend & brother named Charlie - and a Big Protector Rescue Doberman named Sam to look out for her. The Sanctuary for Senior Dogs is a wonderful Rescue. So many wonderful volunteers dedicate their time to foster and take care of these adorable Seniors in need. They rescue these Seniors that have been abandoned in shelters- and bring them to safety. They have a wonderful Meet & Greet once a month & bring all of these cuties to their event for potential adopters to meet them and hear all about them. It’s a wonderful organization. So happy we found them. If you are looking for a wonderful Senior furry friend- you have to stop by- you may just leave with a forever family member! ????????❤️❤️❤️
