I have always taken my cats to Big Creek. I have never had a bad experience & always feel included in their care. My cat recently had to have emergency surgery & the staff at Big Creek were absolutely perfect. They’re responsive, kind, informative… and they LISTEN! My babies will always receive their care here.

Dr Fahrmeier is a great vet. He listens to my concerns, provides great information and addresses all the issues I am having with my pet. I highly recommend him!

Took my dog in for a second opinion after a emergency trip to medvet. The vet - Dr. Zabic did not treat the appointment as a second opinion, instead read back the notes from medvet. When questioned about the multiple diagnoses given by med vet, she repeatedly stated that she "isn't here to argue about it". My dog was initially diagnosed with CHF upon arriving to Medvet, however after chest xray and reassessment, they noted he did not have CHF at discharge. Several treatments such as NSAIDS and steroids were originally withheld at the ER with them noting that he was at risk due to heart disease and CKD. When asking Dr. Zabic about these discrepancies she told us to refer back to medvet. What is the point of a second opinion if you are gonna tell me to return to them. She had zero opinion of her own. She did no labs, even though she noted he had a UTI and possible infection in his spine. His WBC were extremely elevated while in ER and told us to have it rechecked with Big Creek. Not done. She took his temperature and said he had a fever (103F-not surprised with infection), though just told us we can keep rechecking it at home but did not give us anything to reduce it. Long story short, she did a super basic exam and refilled the meds that medvet gave. Cut me off anytime I tried to ask questions. I called back to try and ask more questions and was connected with a vet tech who said she was "the boss for the day" named Jill. Jill was the rudest person I have come across in a long time. Snarky with a bad attitude. She sounded like she needed to be laid down for a nap or retire if you dislike doing your job that much. I recorded our conversation as she was just that rude and was lying about Medvet recommending back surgery for my dog and stating I refused that, along with other nonsense. She told me multiple times to not call back there again and at the end of one of our conversations told me to have the day I deserved. I asked her for medical records which was sent but has no information, like his assessment or temperature. Instead just gave an explanation of his medication. I could go on and on about how bad Jill's customer service is. So to have my dogs temperature taken, a refill, and listening to nonsense from the rude staff, it cost me $124.96. I wish I would have read the other reviews before coming here. Lesson learned. If you want your pet to receive proper treatment and if you want to be treated with respect, you'll have to look elsewhere.

My older cat had a UTI. We tried calling several vets in our area with the response being sorry nothing available for 2-4 weeks. Finally with Big Creek the receptionist offered to check with a doctor as to if I had an emergency situation and then proceeded to double check for cancellations. There did turn out to be a cancellation in only 2 days. My first visit to Big Creek went very smoothly. Dr Fahrmeier did a thorough job with my cat's exam plus explaining everything to me. The staff was all very pleasant and efficient. After the visit I received an email detailing everything about my cat's current health. I found the charges for services to be reasonable and they were all discussed before they were done. My experience here was great and I'll continue to bring my pets here. Shout out to the Big Creek receptionist who went a little further to help a pet guardian (and cat) in distress.

Dr Fahrmeier is so kind and caring. Very gentle and loving to my dogs, but professional and knowledgeable, too. We really like him and Dr Sowders as well. The assistants were great, too!

I have been a customer of BigCreek Pet Hospital for over 20 years in which I changed from a previous veterinarian. I’m so glad I changed. The doctors and also the entire staff treat the animals as if I am the only customer they have with my dogs. 3 female Shih Tzus. I rescued each and every one. Let me tell you, Doctor Fagan, the owner, has a great sense when it came to hiring a vet. Each and every one are just super and not one of them since I’ve been a customer has left for another position elsewhere. I can’t say enough good things when one of my animals is “under the weather” the doctors get them up and the dog acts as if nothing happened. When I have an emergency the staff always and I mean always gets me in the same day. Do yourself a favor, if you don’t have the faith in your vet, give a call to Big Creek and you will be pleasantly surprised. They simply “ know their stuff”

I have been going to Big Creek for over 15 years. We lost our sweet Mr. Lucky in March and now have adopted an older bonded pair of dogs. With old age comes issues but I cannot wait for everyone there to meet the new members of our family. Honey and Fonzie are characters and Fonzie will be having an appointment scheduled very soon. The staff is knowledgeable, compassionate, and always professional.

I called to make an appointment for my 11 year old dog to come in for an infection in his eye. There is fluid leaking from his eye causing his skin to be irritated and bleed. I was told I could come in 11 days from now with no empathy from Dina whatsoever even though I plead with her about the situation. She was rude and not accommodating at all. We will never be back there again.

I totally recommend this facility. They are caring people and very professional even to small pets like guineapigs. I brought in my little lucy and Dr Souders got diagnosis right and did her surgery. After the surgery he called personally to update me. I cannot say enough of this pet hospital and the staff

First the vets and staff at this hospital are GREAT. However, beware of the grooming services. I chose the groomer because she was associated with the hospital and I knew my pup was familiar with the facility - reducing his stress. When I met with the groomer, I specifically said, "DO NOT shave my dog and to leave his face furry." She totally disregarded my instructions - shaved him completely, leaving sores on his face and feet. He was nervous, itchy and generally a nervous wreck. My neighbor also had this experience with this groomer. Dr. Sauder refunded my grooming fee, and comped the laser treatment on his wounds and medication. As I said, the vets and staff are great - just beware of the groomer.

I've been a client at Big Creek since 2009 and have always found the vets and staff to be very knowledgeable and kind. When your pet has had a problem, they always call the day after the appointment to check on them. I highly recommend Big Creek Pet Hospital.

My beagle/ terrier Delilah loves the staff at Big Creek. They take care of her needs at each appointment, and genuinely love animals. I appreciate their follow-up phone calls to check up Delilah after a visit. Furthermore, they are always accommodating when I need to board Delilah for a weekend. I would definitely recommend this facility to anyone looking for a vet .

I have never been treated so rudely. Staff is very unprofessional. I will never bring any of my animals back here

You better hope your pet never becomes unexpectedly sick or injured. They WILL NOT make time for their own patients. And instead refer them out to emergency vet who costs 5x what it would have cost had you been able to bring your pet to see their OWN VET. The staff is not accommodating other then to make sure they clock out on time. What they charge for an office visit is outrageous and all you're paying for is the overhead for that big fancy building. I'd rather see a vet in a back alley as long as they were proving honest and necessary care for my pet. Dont even bother with their wellness plans either, they are a rip off and dont cover anything!!! I would not refer anyone to this practice as they do not put your animal first. Take your babies and your money elsewhere.

Our family had a really bad experience with this place. We took our beloved cat (Chibz) here to get neutered. After the procedure was done we took him home and right away we knew something wasn’t right. He wouldn’t eat and he would hardly even move. So we took him back to the clinic. They ran some tests and said he had an infection because of the procedure and he would need antibiotics. Chibz stayed there for 4 days on antibiotics which cost over 2 grand! The holiday weekend was coming up and they said that nobody was gonna be there to take care of him so he had to go home and that Chibz was good to go. So we take Chibz home and he was still very sick and we’re still worried about him so we take him to an emergency pet clinic that is still open during the holiday and they tell us he’s not better and should have never been released from Big Creek. They put him on more antibiotics which cost another $1000 dollars. They called us at 6 a.m. the next morning and told us the bad news that Chibz had passed. A simple procedure to get our beloved pet fixed cost us over 3 thousand dollars and a lot of heartache. I’m sure Big Creek pet clinic has done a fine job with many other pets over the years. But we could not forgive ourselves if we bring our our 2 new puppies here and the same thing happened. That’s what brought me here today. I’m searching animal clinics to get our new puppies fixed and seen Big Creek Clinic and thought I’d share our story even though it happened a few years ago. RIP Chibz????

Told them he only needed a prednisone refill and if they had to give him rabies then that is it. Didn't listen and gave him a ton of shots and he had a reaction and died. First and last time I'll ever go here.
