I have to change my review. My last experience with NRAH was terrible. I took my cat in for a well visit as he was having cough fits. I told the vet I thought it was asthma. They insisted on ruling out asthma and testing for anything else. He was prescribed clavamox because they thought he had pneumonia and ended up having a severe reaction. I needed to take my cat to the ER. ER did more tests to basically tell me my cat has ASTHMA and not pneumonia. I was very upset with the vet and complained and was not offered any compensation. I ended up spending $1700 on my cat which could of been a $250 bill if he was properly diagnosed. Then they said my cat needed his teeth cleaned they wanted $1500 for his teeth cleaning. I decided to get a second opinion and found another vet that only charged me $367 dollars. This vet is WAY over priced and they don’t listen to the owners who live with the animals. I do not recommend going here unless you want to be out of a lot of money. Very disappointed and sad I had to change my positive review to a negative one.

When my 14 year old cats regular vet was unable to see her as promptly as I hoped, I called NRAH and they were able to see her the same day. Numerous health issues were addressed in a thorough, detailed, caring manner by Dr. Shivak. She is …

Staff was caring and sympathetic when we had to make the difficult decision to put our cat down. This was our first visit there and we would take our other pets there too. We received a little remembrance plaque with his paw prints and a few days later we received flowers problem. That was unexpected and appreciated

We unfortunately had to have our 13 year old cat put down due to serious health issues, and these people were so wonderful. They were so understanding, kind, and patient with us while we went through it. Couldn't ask for a better staff. They also offered cremation and his paw print so we could memorialize him forever.

They do a good job, but prices are absolutely outrageous. Will be searching for a new vet.

We took our cat Gus there on Saturday because it was time to let her go. The staff and doctor were so kind and gentle with Gus and us to the end. Today we received flowers and a card from (picture attached). Thank you for making a hard decision a little easier.

Staff & Drs. are thurow with the exams, caring & they listen, & it is clean there, they are just absolutely wonderful. My long story short is > Dr found something and my cat needed surgery :( but for yrs. from my OLD vet clinic who I will NEVER be going back to ever again, never brought this to my attention. Him & his wife always looked inside her mouth at every visit. I am sickened by their lack of profession, my poor cat has been going through pain & this infection for years. I feel horrible because she ate & drank & didn't show any type of discomfort, but yet she was. She is 17 yrs old & that makes me sick even more because she could have enjoyed life a bit more comfortably. Back to N.R.A.H. I will be returning with my cat & bringing the rest of my animal house here from now on. You may pay a little more but its worth it. your pet will definitely get what he/she deserves & needs. I totally recommend

They are very professional, courteous, and compassionate. I had taken my cat there for 6 years and always appreciated what they did for her, even when I had to have her recently euthanized.

NRAH and all of its staff in the front office and back exhibit caring bedside manner, assist with questions and provide a very clean environment for their clients and pets. Currently with COVID protocols clients are not allowed in the building or daycare. The vet techs are so caring when it comes to transfer of your pet through the fenced area. Although some services cost more than other clinics, we feel the cost explains itself through the services rendered in emergent and non-emergent instances. A personal phone call or email to explain the results, X-rays, bloodwork or estimate for extensive care is very helpful. We lost one of our dogs last year and the entire team was so gracious with his care and the personal mourning room, front office staff lowering their voices and lights and lighting a candle meant so much. But they do this with every loss of a pet, something we have not experienced from other vets. We give this vet 5 stars, something we do not give to businesses often. If you are looking for a vet with clean rooms, up-to-date machines for examination, excellent knowledge and professionalism this is your vet. And as extra they have a fantastic kennel and doggie daycare!

We've had three dogs across the last 15 years that have received outstanding care from NRAS. Yes, they are more expensive than budget clinics -- considerably so -- but I've never questioned the quality of care nor compassion my dogs have received from everyone at the practice, especially for my rescue who has specific behavioral complexities.

Do Not take your pet there! Way overpriced! They crammed in 4 shots into my 15 lb dog and he literally was so sick that night that he couldn’t even walk. They try to upsell you anyway they can. They quoted me $500 to fix my dog on top of extra shots totaling $300 which they will not perform surgery without. That is 8 times as much as another clinic in North Olmsted. Their response was “your dog will get the best care”.... well for that kind of money, my dog better be served bon -bons and rest on a golden pillow but as a customer benefit they will clip your dogs nails ????.I checked with the cheaper clinic North Olmsted and my dog will still get the registered nurse to care for him after surgery along with pain meds. They just did not upsell me like North Royalton clinic did. The manager at the NR clinic is very nice and addressed all of my questions so I can’t complain there but the amounts of money they charge you is just out of line.

There are not enough words to express how wonderful they've been to us and our pups.

I have owned animals all my life. When our puppy of 15 1/2 years was ready to go we called NRAS. The front desk was amazing. When we arrived after having two more weeks with our little girl the staff was astounding. Despite COVID. The nurse was an angel and the doctor talked with us and gave us reassuring words. We watched our girl go and they cried with us. Go NOWHERE else. You are not a number. You are family with them and they truly care.

Dr Luitkis has been caring for my Devon Rex who has chronic severe Inflamatory Bowel Disease. IBD is lifelong in this breed but treatable with careful management. I learned this working with Dr Luitkis. My baby is 10 years old and skinny, but comfortable and seems content. Thank you Dr Luitkis!!

They overcharge, and their customer service should be far better for those prices. When attempting to reschedule a follow up the receptionist told me "well it'll just cost you double" fire that chick and then stop all your non sense testing and up charging. I still won't be back.

When we left our previous vet, after some very traumatic times saying goodbye to our last two dogs, I vowed to find a vet I felt would be more compassionate for our dogs and for us. I literally made an appointment with NR Animal hospital and screened Dr. Hechko and took a tour of the facility before making any appointments for our pets. It is all top notch. Every doctor and tech there does an outstanding job. This place, is by far, the best animal clinic we have ever worked with. I cannot imagine taking my two dogs anywhere else. Every visit my dogs and I are treated compassionately and with great understanding. They even worked for us for months (not an exaggeration) getting my rescue more comfortable in the clinical setting to get him less weary of being treated. We have used their boarding services, as well as the doggy day care without any incident or nothing shy of very positive experiences. I can highly recommend without any hesitation. Thank you, Dr. Hechko, and your entire team, or the outstanding work that you are doing!!!

I cannot recommend NRAH more highly! My baby is a frequent patient with varied medical issues over the years and we have always received excellent care and customer service from all staff members - Dr. Hechko & Ramona, in particular, are exceptional! In my opinion, they are incredibly genuine in their care and concern which means the world to me. My Ginger, is not a "pet" - she is family, she is my daughter - and they treat us with that respect. You don't find this level of service and understanding every day and I feel blessed to have found these remarkable people to provide such high quality health care. Thank you NRAH and Dr. Hechko & Ramona!!

I have been in the market for a new vet and ended up at NRAH last week when my dog was limping with a leg injury. Even without being able to enter the facility due to the current social distancing, I was very impressed by the care and service that this animal hospital displayed. After the exam, Dr. Hensen called to go over the results with me and spent over 20 minutes on the phone answering questions about not only the injury, but other questions I had about my dog. The exam itself was about $10 more than my last vet but I think it was well worth it when I compared the amount of time and patience my last vet facility spent during visits. The facility I went to previously always felt rushed and I did not feel that way here. Plus, NRAH called me two days later to follow up and see how my dog was doing which I really appreciated. Overall, very happy with my experience and I will continue to take my dog here in the future.

Dr. Roach and the entire medical staff are so wonderful. The clinic has always been accommodating when it comes to appointments and is very helpful with questions and concerns. After numerous emergency visits, my dog recently needed to have teeth extracted and without knowing ahead of time, ended up losing 25 teeth due to lack of medical care from her life before me. The medical staff took such great care of my dog during the whole process and kept me updated from start to finish. We are very fortunate to be a patient at North Royalton Animal Hospital and I am thankful for all the staff that works there.

The entire staff at North Royalton Animal Hospital is incredible. We switched after being dissatisfied with our experience at another vet office, and we are so glad we did! The staff here are so knowledgeable and compassionate, and the care we get is comprehensive and thorough. The staff here give our pets (and us humans, too) such TLC, and they were so unbelievably kind and supportive through a difficult diagnosis and the loss of one of our pets. Their work is demanding and emotionally challenging, and they provide outstanding service despite all of it. We are grateful to have found them.

My experiences at the hospital have been awesome. The doctors and staff are caring and make you feel that your pet is one of their own. Dr H goes up and beyond what you would expect with phone calls from him personally with test results that were performed. I would highly recommend North Royalton Animal Hospital if you love your pet as much as we do!
