The ladies of Homeward Bound have been walking my Golden Retriever Lilly for the last year and continue to do an amazing job. No matter who is on duty for the day, everyone is courteous, professional and most importantly Lilly loves them all. I also very much appreciate the report and photos I get emailed to me after every visit. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a trustworthy company to care for your pets as well as you do!

My dog is a good dog, but he also can be VERY iffy around people he doesn't know. Homeward bound did a great job being patient with him, communicating with me about the best way to care for him, and letting me know how it was going. I was VERY happy with the services and will definitely use them again when needed.

We've been using Homeward Bound Pet Care for a couple of months now. I ended up in the hospital for a few days, and they were wonderful to work with. They went out of their way to make sure that our puppy, Spenser, was well taken care of, fed, and loved. They are extremely dependable and flexible, and I know I can count on them in a pinch. Big thanks to the staff at HWB!

I have been using Homeward Bound for cat sitting for the last two years. I cannot say enough good things about them. They are trustworthy, dependable and very focused on making sure your pets are well taken care of. I’ve used them numerous times and never had a single issue. My son and I love reading the daily journals and looking at the pictures they took of our cats. It’s been such a relief not to have to worry about them when we go out of town. I highly recommend them!

I can’t say enough great things about this business and wish I could give it more stars. I’ve used their service in two different ways (we have multiple pets including dogs, cats and birds). In one way, I’ve used their service when our family is away from the house all or most of a single day. I can schedule an individual appointment or two, and pick the times requested for simple feeding, dog walks, etc. In the second way, I’ve started using their service when we are on vacation and will be away from the house for an extended/overnight period. I'm sure leaving your pets for days at a time certainly can be stressful for them, but it makes sense to me that is would be considerably less stressful if you keep their surroundings the same (rather than take them to a kennel or another business, where they would have to adjust to a new setting, new care-giver, new schedules, etc.). For extended care visits, I will typically schedule 4 visits a day while I’m out, and I’ve found it to be about the same price as the kennel option we were using. As an added bonus, they can also take care of things like mail, watering plants, trash delivery and house lights while your out! What really sets HB apart from other options, in addition to the great and friendly care they give, is the incredible communication they provide. After each visit, you get an email letting you know they’ve completed service, along with a link to your personal online account where you can get more information - including specific services provided, any issues reported and even pictures of your pets. Text messages are responded to immediately if you have a question/concern. Requesting a new appointment is a breeze with their easy to use website, and it gives you a place and opportunity to include any specific details the pet sitters should know. Now, I would like to say that everything will always go smoothly when you leave your pets in their care, but these are living creatures, and sometimes problems do occur. When our greyhound suddenly got sick (through no fault of Homeward Bound) while we were 2000 miles away from home, I can’t begin to describe how they went over and beyond what was expected of them. At the tip of the iceberg, when it was decided he needed medical care, the owner of Homeward Bound took our sick dog home with her, staying up with him all night long in her own house, before taking him to get the medical attention he needed in the morning. Now hopefully, my pets (and yours) won’t need that type of service again, but isn’t it comforting to know if they do, Homeward Bound has you covered? Finally, I wanted to comment the one negative review I found of this establishment after reading it with an open mind. But in reading the gentleman’s complaint, it’s apparently obvious that he never actually used the service and his only gripe is that he wasn’t able to get schedule service during the busy holiday time. To me, this is like downgrading a popular restaurant that can’t find a table for you on a busy Saturday night when you walk in without a reservation. It is true that during the major holidays (their peak season), they might impose requirements for advanced scheduling notice so they can ensure they have enough staff scheduled to meet your needs, but the deadlines are typically well communicated to their customers and again, only apply during major holidays (ie, normally Christmas and Thanksgiving). Outside of that, I’ve found them to be extremely flexible in scheduling services, even on very short notice.

Very caring and communicative staff. It is such a relief to have my dog cared for in the comfort of home, and I don't have to worry about him catching an illness from another dog like I would at a kennel.

Absolutely perfect service. We're always hesitant to leave our 18yo kitty for more than a night, so when business took us both out of town, Homeward Bound exceeded all expectations. They took care of feeding, medication, litter, water bowls - even brought in the mail. Immediately after each visit we would get an email with the "journal/diary" entry and could see the detailed notes on what they did and notes on kitty - which made us feel so much better. I'd definitely use Homeward Bound again and again.

Excellent service, communication and organization. This was my first time using an at-home pet care service and I was extremely impressed. The staff followed all of my instructions exactly and it seemed like my two dogs were happy and not stressed while we were away. They send you photos of your pets and messages after every visit, which was great for a "worry wart" like me. Will definitely use again.

Awesome service! Katie and her staff have always come at the drop of a hat to care for my Goldendoodle Lucy! They also always leave a detailed note of their activities to let me know how my "not so little monster" behaved! 100% recommended.

My husband is a pilot, and I work long hours at the office, so the schedule of need for our sweet little Frenchie, Bogey, is all over the place. From day one, Katie and team have always gone above and beyond to ensure he is taken care of and loved on. Whether it is a last minute need because the airlines have called my husband on a trip and I am at work or sending us great, detailed updates with pictures during their stops so that we can know Bogey is good, we have always been thrilled with the service that we received. My neighbor even stopped me early on to ask me who was playing with Bogey in the afternoons because they were so impressed by the care and attention given. We continue to be thrilled with the service provided by Homeward Bound, and I'm glad to know that we have support from a great team so that Bogey always has the attention he deserves.

We have 2 labs, Nittany and Jake. We would take them to a great kennel and we believed they loved it as they came back exhausted! It wasn’t until we met Katie and she told us about her company and gave it a try that I realized that they were actually stressed when they returned. How did I know? When we returned from a weekend away after Katie and her team watched them they were calm, rested and seemed genuinely happy to still be home!!!! The rest was history. However, it is not just about the dogs, initially it was also about 'strangers' in our home as well. We have full trust with Katie and her team in our home! They ensure not only the safety and health of the dogs, but our home as well! 4.5 years later we are VERY happy customers. I would recommend Katie and her team to anyone - they won’t disappoint!

I cannot express how grateful we are for HWB. It is clear that each employee is devoted to their job, and that they truly care for Abby. I love getting to read the journals/visit summaries each day to see what was going on with Abby. By reading the journals I can tell that the HWB employees really have gotten to know Abby because the things they say about her are so accurate to what we see when we're home. It's comforting to know that there are people who love on our Abby just as much as we do, and to know that Abby trusts and embraces whoever visits her. They notice little things that are off about her (if she seems under the weather, unusual bathroom habits, etc.) and are always willing to update us on her if I notify them about something going on with her when I leave for work. I do not have enough good things to say about the staff of Homeward Bound, and the services they provide.
