Yesterday I received a call that the Fecal I dropped off Saturday morning was no longer able to be tested because it was left out over the weekend and is no longer good…..I purposely dropped it off Saturday because me and my husband both work long hours all week. This is now the second time this has happened at this vet in the last 3 months. Making it an extreme hassle to drop off another in time for his testing to be done correctly. What’s even worse, I think her name was Peyton… was saying a condescending sorry over and over as if this company doesn’t understand how not reliable and frustrating this is. I’m going to be taking my animals else where with a more reliable staff.

Absolutely wonderful place, Dr Butman is very kind and talented with animals. Brought my baby kitten here and they've been really good with her. Highly recommend.

I like the staff there, everyone seems pretty friendly. My dog loves going there and getting plenty of attention.. im sure that all of the staff love seeing my dog there too. I dont ever see myself going anywhere else for my dog. Im really happy that this place is here.

Dealing with these guys is frustrating to say the least... I took my pup in for what I thought was a very very mild ear infection that hadn't been showing any symptoms for about 4 days (Took a week before they could see him). Turns out its mild allergies, but they prescribed me $120 allergy pills? I don't think so, I'll go over the counter for $10. I had to ask the gal four times for the pricing on the 12 month supply of heartguard/nexgaurd that they have a sign advertising before she finally gave me a price. And when she did she couldn't give me the price breakdown separate from my visit cost (luckily I can do middle school math). It boggles my mind how she seemed to think I was asking her to land on the moon, all I wanted was the price. Then she was going to give me a 12 month supply of 30-59lb when my dog is 7 months old and just weighed in at 59 pounds. How does that make any sense? I think it's time I just found a new vet...

Excellent! From the front desk staff to the tech's, and vets are stellar, warm, and sweet. My cat Gertrude and I have had wonderful experiences. They are kind and compassionate and thorough, also affordable.

The vet techs are the sweetest around. Dr. Butler always gives thorough, compassionate care to our cat and the front desk staff is always friendly! We feel so grateful to have found this place!

This team of women here are stellar. As someone in medicine, I recognize individuals who actually have a love for their profession and aim to stay on top of the ever changing science of medicine and new methodologies. Every single doctor, across the board, (because there have been times when one of my three dogs had to see another doctor at this clinic due to quick scheduling) and they all have been equally just as impressive. My dogs have regular check-ups here and they have also had surgery here, so I have experienced all facets of the clinic and the communication, care and love given to my little family members has always warmed my heart and put me at ease during surgeries. I always get a thorough breakdown of why things are happening and the motive behind it and I am always included, which is the sign of good doctors. If you are looking for well educated, current/cutting edge and loving individuals, then this is definitely your clinic.

I took my cat here after my preferred vet was booked. I called on a Saturday, letting them know we were almost certain it was an upper respiratory infection. They told us she would be fine to wait until Monday to come in, making it seem it wasn’t urgent. We took her on Monday and everyone seemed nice enough. They took her inside while we waited in the car (because of covid.) the vet called us from the car and told us she wanted to run a blood panel, and do X-rays. I said yes because she expressed concern about her lungs. As a pet owner who was a bit overwhelmed and worried about her pet, I did not ask for the price. The vet did not provide me a price either. Once they were done, they decided it WAS in fact a respiratory infection. They gave her antibiotics and brought her out, again without letting me know how much it cost. It ended up being $473...for a respiratory infection...without anyone discussing price with me. No one mentioned it was contagious (they had notes in the file saying they knew we have other cats) and one of my other cats caught it. They missed the follow up call they were supposed to make to us, so I finally called to let them know she was sick, and I was looking to get a prescription for her. They gave me an impossibly hard time about prices, and their administrator told me it was my fault for never expressing price was a cost, I should’ve told them. I told her I was distressed for my pet and wasn’t thinking, why didn’t a vet tech mention it to me? She said that patients typically ask and I should’ve done that. That if wanted my other cat seen, I would have to start all over, no help on costs after an almost $500 car visit. After two cats it would’ve been almost $700 for two upper respiratory infections, that they never follow up on anyways. DO. NOT. GO. HERE.

Surprise fees without mentioning they would be doing anything. My cat was just there for shots and they charged an extra 50 dollars without saying they would be doing a checkup but did it anyway.

I gathered a couple quotes for the removal of a growth on my dog's paw, the Washtenaw Veterinary Hospital was the final consultation I needed. They were super COVID-19 safe, provided crisp answers to my questions and a reasonable range of costs for the removal of the mass. I was lucky enough to get in on a cancelation the very next day. All along, down the line I received superior communication, access to information, an email just moments after my dog left surgery and was in recovery, and a detailed account of the surgery from the doctor via a phone call. From the tender, compassionate words on the phone to the hand-drawn heart on my pup's medication, I am so pleased I made the right choice by selecting this hospital for her. I also noticed they clipped her nails during her stay so my girl got a spa treatment as well. What a helpful, considerate thing for not just my dog, but for me too. A happy side note is that the final bill (including pathology, follow up visit which is complimentary, and medications) was itemized and even less than I thought it would be. That's not to say it was inexpensive, a skilled doctor operating on my dear friend has a bill attached that reflects their importance but I feel I got a true bargain. I'm more than satisfied, I'm pleased and proud that I've done well for my dog by choosing this place with these people.

They usually book up pretty quickly but the care is top notch and I know that my dog is always in great hands with them.

The people here really care about animals and it shows. Everyone I interacted with was kind and helpful. They called numerous times to follow up and, when I had questions they couldn't answer right away, called me back later with answers. The fees seemed a touch high, but I just moved to the area, so they might be normal for this area. I would definitely recommend this place to others.

Dr. Eberly has been our vet since she arrived at this hospital 10+ years ago. She is by far the greatest vet I've ever met! Compassionate, outrageous skills, and a special knack for giving exceptional care to her patients as well as their humans. The entire staff at this hospital practices with the same kindness, skill and care. It is the ultimate place to take your pet for care!!! Everyone you will meet here is exceptional!!!

Normally a very responsive and caring group of people. Not so much today. Our cat was seen by Dr. Butler for a fractured leg 14 days ago, she splinted it and recommended us to an orthopedic surgeon in Southfield because she was unsure of the severity of the fracture. The splint fell off that evening but because we were seeing the specialist in the morning I didn't worry about it. The specialist said it wasn't as severe as Dr. Butler feared and re-splinted it, the bandages needed to be changed every 7-10 days. I took our cat back to Dr. Butler 10 days later for the change and it again fell off that evening. That's not the terrible part of the story, I called the next morning (Saturday) to have them redo it but was told they were too busy to take the time to redo the splint, that we should go to the emergency clinic. Really!? I paid twice for a splint that fell off and now have paid Blue Pearl an additional $437.00 to redo it (Spud has to be sedated). We have a dog and 2 cats that we take here and will not be going back. I can't believe they'd let a cat (or human) suffer because a Doctor there doesn't know how to keep a bandage on. Blue Pearl's bandage stayed on for 10 days, no problem.

If I could give them a 6 out of 5, I would. I have seen 3 of the 4 doctors here and they are all magnificent, as are the vet techs. My dog, Skittles, was heartworm positive when I got her and had lots of complications from it. Washtenaw Vet Hospital has taken incredible care of her, have been so kind and compassionate, and treat Skittles as if she is one of theirs. I HIGHLY recommend bringing your pet to them!!! Update (1/8/2021): I still bring my dog, Skittles to WVH. We moved but I drive the 50 minutes because I’ve never found a better clinic or vet (we LOVE Dr. Butler - she truly cares about all of her patients and works so hard for them).

Great staff, really professional and extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Today was a tough day, but they were very supportive of the family as my best friend lost his sidekick to Rainbow Bridge.

Extremely happy with the services received here! My dog had an eye issue that I was told should be addressed quickly, however no one was able to get her in. Ended up here and so thankful I did. Everyone was very friendly, and showed genuine interest and concern for my do . Dr. Butman was amazing. She took the time to really try to figure out a recurring problem and gave me more information than other provider has. I think I found a new vet for my dog!

Every vet I have seen here is great. Super wonderful people always trying to make your pet’s life better. My formerly obese 16 year old cat is happier, healthier, and pain-free because of the attention to detail these vets have. Fully recommend to everyone.

All of the staff are fantastic. They are thorough, compassionate, and my boys love coming for their visits. They've taken great care of my boys for regular annual visits, unexpected issues, and have enabled me to take a proactive approach to dealing with a chronic condition.

Excellent service - we were a walk-in, concerned about weird behaviour in one of our dogs, and they managed to fit us in with no trouble. The receptionist, nurse, and vet we saw were all friendly and skilled, and helped make a stressful situation run smooth.
