Easthaven Animal Hospital Ann Arbor, Ohio

I brought my dog to Easthaven-as my family has been doing for decades. I never got the impression that the staff cared for my 7yo Shiba Inu the way they did for my family's other dogs. He was a good dog. My issues during 2021 that will make me NEVER recommend or visit again: -No vet was actually physically there, tech held a camera in front of the dog so the vet in another state on a zoom call could assess. Definitely overlooked and dismissed several issues I had. "Well, I'm not concerned about that" the vet said. -Staff had me pay for an appointment to answer questions I had about a medication. Should have been a red flag. "The staff didn't know the answer to your question" was what I was told. (the question: why are his meds showing up in his stool?) All the while, remodeling their lobby and parking lot. -Staff refused to look at images sent from an emergency clinic. Told me "we will, thank you for your patience", or "vet's not here to look right now" and then never got back to me after reaching out multiple times. -Seizure meds they gave me were 4x higher (YES! 4x!) than they should have been. Side effects included depression. Can you imagine a dog just hating being alive? -Took my dog to a different vet and they discovered a softball sized tumor in his lung. We had to euthanized shortly after because he couldn't breath. Any vet who cared to look at a dog and listen to an owners valid concerns should have caught this. My dog was mishandled and dismissed and I hold tremendous resentment. Nothing will bring my dog back.

A bit pricier than I expected. I was confused why my bill was what it was. The owner reached out and was able to explain it all to me. Overall was more expensive than I had anticipated. Cannot deny the quality of care though, they do seem to care about their clients and animals.

The Easthaven medical staff did a wonderful job with my cat. They were thorough, kind, professional, and really put my mind at ease. They did the right amount of testing and explained everything to me. Their prices are reasonable. I would definitely go to them again.

The people who work here were patient, compassionate, and very understanding about our cat's temperament.

I will try to be as kind as possible with my review, but I have to warn other cat owners who might have a bit of a difficult cat. At first I was happy with their attitude, they were friendly and helpful, but during the actual appointment I was highly disappointed. They put my cat through stress that wasn't necessary. They refused to hold him and kept trying to run after him with a towel to the point where he got extremely stressed, that's while he was given sedative, so that says a lot about the level of stress he was in. I took him to 2 other vets that had 0 problem with giving him his shots and examination without any sedation. I was charged almost $130 for basically 2 bottles of sedation meds, without them even touching him nonetheless examine him. I don't mind the money as much as I mind the fact that my cat was extremely stressed to the point where he kept hissing at me everytime I picked him up 2 days AFTER the appointment. I was so worried about him that I ended up cancelling my other appointment with them. I saw the drastic difference when I took my cat to another vet and he WILLINGLY jumped on the exam table and started playing with the towel, didn't hiss or growl at all at the vet and the nurse while getting vaccinated. I'm not sure if it's because they're are more experienced in dogs or what but if you have a cat, especially one that has a bit of a temper, avoid this clinic.

This place really meets you where you're at with your pet.

My wife and I are having a hard time with our cat getting along with his housemates of 6 years. We visited Easthaven yesterday and received great service, prompt subscriptions, and compassionate advice. Although we are afraid that our situation may be beyond our control, we believe Dr.Stanton and Greg give us the best chance to succeed in making our cats get along again.

The staff here are nothing short of amazing! They did an amazing job with my puppy. I will be returning here for all my pets medical needs. I vote 5 stars with pride

The facility is lovely. I was nervous of having the vet be remote on a screen, but it worked really nicely. There were two techs/nurses in the room doing the actual exam and consulting with the vet. They were incredible with our dog, making her feel comfortable as they were evaluating her. Our dog is a heartworm survivor and the vet was helpful in answering my questions about what that mean's for our dog's health in the future.

I have had a great experience with Easthaven! Everyone I’ve worked with has always been kind, patient, and helpful! Their online system makes it easy to remember when my cat is due for a visit. I was able to get scheduled without even needing to call! They also take time to answer all of my questions and have always treated my uttermost care!

Great staff, vet team, and overall had a great experience with our cat.

The vet we normally take our dog to told us they wouldn’t be able to see our sick dog until the end of November. I called Easthaven and they were able to give us an appointment for the very next morning. We are very impressed with the thoroughness of the staff in caring for our beloved four legged family member.

Amazing staff! Extremely friendly, professional and timely. We left our old vet and moved over to Easthaven because of their personal and caring touch to services and my pets.

The staff was so welcoming and nice, I brought my new cat that had been a stray and they covered all the bases and then some! So happy to have found this place :)

This review is edited from a lower rating I've previously left. I hold back from a 5 star rating because I have had very long waits in the waiting room (or parking lot because of covid restrictions) with standard appointments. They also try to upsale at EVERY oppertunity. You litterally cannot ask for advice without being told to buy something. On a good note however, I've had very honest and helpful conversations with the front desk staff, especially Francis. My pup has recently required more medical attention and they have helped me very efficiently and effectively. My dog is getting the care he needs thanks to East Haven. I cannot in good conscience leave a bad rating when they helped my pup as much as they have.

They have been so wonderful! Patient, kind and caring. I would highly recommend to everyone. I will bring my pets here furever:)

The people at Easthaven have been awesome. My pup got diarrhea from worms and I was very concerned as it had persisted for a week. I called everywhere looking for some care for Argus and people would laugh, and report four to six week wait times. The voice from easthaven was empathetic and accommodating, and an appointment was scheduled a few days out. The use of virtual nurse and doctors was a bit strange at first, but three visits later and they have been great in all ways. Thank you for your love and attention for my pup.

I only have great things to say about Easthaven! They had a cancelation and got my cat in for an urgent new patient appt same-day. The nurse and vet provided lots of education on the issue/treatment options, asked about my preferences, and answered all questions. Everyone there seemed to really love their jobs. Very clean and tidy. My cat is feeling much better, and an Easthaven nurse even called me a few days later to check on her. Highly recommend!

Overall great. Have taken my cat there for 2 annual exams, as well as a sickness and even an ER vet follow up. When I had to take her to the ER I did on a day EastHaven was closed, but I had previously called and they made sure to check-in a few times and were able to get her in for a quick follow up very easily. They are always very thorough which I can appreciate as someone who worries a lot! Everyone is super friendly as well.

The staff at Easthaven is very pleasant and the facility is very modern and clean. The vet sat right on the floor when she came into the exam room and our usually skiddish cat walked right to her. I am very happy to have chosen this hospital for our furry family members.

The staff at Easthaven continually follows up with us regarding our pet. They call, text and email to ensure we understood the issue and how to address it.

Easthaven staff have been able to diagnose and treat problems that were plaguing my new rescue and to give her necessary vaccines so that she is off to a great start in her new home.

The only negative is that it can get a bit pricey (mostly the norm for the field). The service is outstanding though, you can tell they care about what they do.

Can't say enough. Doctors are very knowledgeable and very friendly, nurse's are also very friendly and helpful. My dog is always very frightened of the vet and they figured out how to sneak in his calming shot before he knew it. They are located quite a distance from me, but it is worth the drive to know that your dog is cared for and not just pushed thru to quickly get them out to get paid.
