We love everyone at A Breed Above. Leslie, Veronica, Lindsey, Keya, Paige, and all of the staff are so friendly and welcoming. My dog Kingston looks forward to doggy daycare, can’t wait to play, and comes home tired and happy! It gives me peace of mind to take him to A Breed Above and know that he is safe and happy!

Puppy playtime and grooming are great for an energetic Golden. 1st time over night boarding & I had separation anxiety but I'm sure she was fine. Very kind and polite employees, only concern was that I had picked her up before dinner & the meal I provided couldn't be found. She was starving to eat when I got home too

Can’t speak highly enough of this business and their staff. I never worry about my pup when she’s in their care, and she always comes back to me happy and healthy. The services are expensive like most things in AA, but there are no cut corners and they can accommodate everything you may need for dayplay or boarding.

High senior staff turnover and the staff left behind are spread too thin and not trained adequately. No front desk management on-site in evenings to speak with clients. Too many dogs in group without adequate coaching staff. Dogs not taken out in a timely manner. Not enough play time for all dogs. Dogs smelling of urine when picked up by parents. Not worth the price.

Moki is always excited to spend the day with friends at Breed Above and in the Day Stay program! All of the employees are helpful and friendly! We truly enjoy that they share pictures on social media while at day stay and directly us when she is there for overnight stays!

When dropping our pup off at the office, we are greeted like family, our dog is excited to be there and you can tell that everyone knows her and loves her. Mentioning "Breed Above" in a sentence creates a whirling dervish of puppy excitement! That tells us she is treated like the princess she is.

Booked online, was informed someone would call to confirm. I waited. I checked back on the site to find my appointment cancelled. ???? Thinking surely it was a mistake, I re-booked. Again, no call. So I called the phone number, left a message because clearly nobody answers the phone. No return call. I checked the site and guess what…. They cancelled again without any communication. I PROMIISE, there is not a single DOG BARBER on the planet that is worth this. Lol. “Apply” to be accepted? No communication? What a joke. Awfully full of yourselves.

My good friend takes her dog to Breed Above to socialize during the day a couple of times a month. She told me that they had grooming services and I just got a puppy, Fawna June, so I called for an appointment to trim her nails. I was impressed that they required her health documents before they would allow even a visit! Under Covid rules they had to come to my car to get Fawna and she was so afraid, but the groomer soothed her remarkably well. Within 5 minutes my puppy was back in my arms with a lovely pedicure! Gentle and friendly. Very happy.

My pup and I love BreedAbove! The facility is always safe and clean. We use BreedAbove for Day Camp and for grooming and have had terrific experiences. The staff are very knowledgeable and have gotten to know my dog over the past few months. And I love the theme days they do around the holidays! Would highly recommend!!

Just picked up our dog Ridley today after boarding for the weekend. He was also groomed this morning which is such a wonderful service available at Breed Above. Ridley, who we adopted knowing he had come from a very difficult situation, has come so far with the assistance of the on-site and home training and doggie daycare programs available at Breed Above. He is a well adjusted, lovable and sweet dog! Knowing that we have a place to board Ridley that he loves and is well taken care of is so helpful during this stressful COVID time. Thank you to all of the staff, trainers and groomers for being so caring and professional. We have been a very appreciative client of Breed Above, first with our dog Reese and now with Ridley, since they opened in 2011! Steve and Marcy Ott

I've been dropping my dog off here for 3 years now, and without them my poor dog would be going insane during COIVD. He practically leaps out of the car every time we pull up, and sleeps soundly the day after. The staff is really nice and helpful, and they've helped socialize him since he was a puppy. I don't recognize all the faces now that we drop them off at the door, but Jessica has been there since I started and she's clearly Archie's (my dog's) favorite person to see. We're really glad to have found them.

Was hung up on because the receptionist didn’t like that I didn’t want to pay for extra walks. All I said to her was “I’m ok, no thank you”.

My 1 year old Corgi loves going to BreedAbove for Day Stays! He loves the interaction with other dogs. Knowing that all of the dogs there have been temperament tested gives me piece of mind. The staff is kind and knowledgeable. Drop off and pick ups are quick and easy.

I used to take my ancient pomeranian here, before she passed away, for overnight stays. They were very accommodating of her unique needs (liked people but was nervous about other dogs). It was really nice to have a safe option for her to stay at Breed Above when family or friends could not accommodate her. Now we take our American Eskimo puppy here for socialization and he LOVES it. He can't wait to leave the car when we arrive! I mention both of our dogs because Breed Above really took care of each our dogs differently. They listened to what each one needed and made sure each had their own supportive experience. I really don't think our "Covid" puppy would be as well adjusted as he is today without Breed Above. It is NOT cheap to take your dog here, but you get what you pay for. If you can afford it, this is definitely the place you should take your dog.

My dog loves his friends (human and canine) at Breed Above! He plays hard and comes home exhausted! The staff are great and I feel he is age and well cared for.

Our dog LOVES going to breed above. she is so excited every time she is dropped off and can't wait to go inside (furiously wagging her tail, jumping, and licking the staff). We also love the pictures that they take of her and share on social media!

A little expensive, but my dog loves it here. My favorite days are the themed days with special activities and events. I drive 30 minutes to get her just because we love it so much. Wish they would post more pictures so that I could see the fun my dog is having!

Our dog has gotten kennel cough from Breed Above twice since we started there. We would never have brought our dog to Breed Above if we were made aware they are having consistent issues containing kennel cough. We are positive the kennel cough came from Breed Above because due to COVID we have not brought our dogs anywhere else in over several months. I think they have the best of intentions, their staff is friendly, and they have good service, but they need to do a better job with communicating to their clients regularly on the severity of what is going around. We don't want anyone else's dogs getting sick like ours has. Kennel cough is serious and the recovery has been difficult for our dog. He got pneumonia yesterday and was in critical care over the holidays recovering overnight in the emergency room. Our dog had a lot of fun at Breed Above, however it is not worth the pain it has caused our dog and medical bills. They need to do a better job in regularly communicating to their clients so that we can make more informed decisions as dog owners.

New to the area and they really helped me with last minute boarding during COVID. Very helpful and very nice. My dogs seemed to enjoy themselves.

Our dog loves coming here for daycare. He starts going crazy in the car when we pull up.

On Monday Jan 20, we submitted our application, in hopes that we’d eventually get our puppy into a class and for boarding. The app said we’d hear back in 48 hours. By Friday that week, we still hadn’t heard back so I called, and was told that they were swamped with new apps and that we would hear back on Monday. Late Monday someone called and left a voicemail on my phone. When I called back on Tuesday the woman I spoke with couldn’t find our application. She put me on hold several times to try and look for it. She blamed it on there being a lot of new employees. I was then told I would hear back the next day, and after 2 weeks, have never heard back. If they can’t keep track of my paperwork, I have zero trust in them to take care of my dog.

I chose to board my dog here because they claim to specialize in nervous dogs. Today, they called me to inform me that my dog "will not be welcome back" because they couldn't handle her without sedation. This was after one employee gave me a glowing report that my dog didn't cause any problems for them.

My dog loves his weekly visit to Breed Above. He comes home very tired, which is great!

This place is top notch! Clean, caring, and they will love your pets!!

For a few months BreedAbove was good to us with our dog then it wasn't. We were never alerted to any issue with our dog until we were warned that she might not be allowed back. (Every pick up we asked how the day was, staff always replied good and the staff was always happy to see her) We went through the follow up weeks to see if she could stay and we were informed she couldn't. (which during that time she became afraid of going to BreedAbove) We have since taken our dog to other camps that have camera's and we can watch her interactions with other dogs. (as everything they stated to us was news and nothing we've ever seen) We informed the new locations as to what BreedAbove stated with them denying having any issues. As I mentioned there are three other daycares we go to now, none having an issue with her and we watch over the cameras often without seeing any incidents. Also talking to more people in the dog daycare world it was stated that several people have had issues with BreedAbove doing this and then recommending to have us buy dog training packages. (when talking to others the name of this business (BreedAbove) was never mentioned. (they tried to get us to do training packages too) Like many others have mentioned other locations in and around Ann Arbor have cameras that you can watch anytime and are less expensive than BreedAbove.

We love Breed Above and our puppy, Stasha loves it as well since the first day we took her. Breed Above truly cares about our furry babies and love them. It is a great place for puppies to play at. It’s always clean and very friendly. Highly recommend Breed Above if you are looking for a puppy daycare.

This was my 2 year old dogs first experience. She was hesitant and had some separation anxiety. The caregiver was patient and had me walk my dog in a bit farther. When I picked her up 4 hours later shE was having a great time.
