Erica is just awesome. We had some miscommunication with my other vet that did the surgery but they went above and beyond and really helped my baby Daisy get the care she needed. They will be my go to place for pets from now on. Six star’s

I've taken my pets to AAAH for about 28 yrs. (Since the new bldg opened & I also saw them for about 5 yrs at their old place). They have a way of attracting the best med teams. RECEPTION AND OFFICE STAFF: Jamie & Terri are awesome. Staff treats people w/courtesy, kindness & compassion (when needed) They are great at remembering people & do all they can to help make your call/visit go well! TECHS: Include the marvelous, caring, eagle eyed Surgical staff! When your pet has a procedure done, the Dr. does the procedure, but the Techs are the Angels (you seldom see) that keep your pet safe & happy until they go home w/you! PRIMARY CARE TECHS: Whether it's weighing a dog/Cat, helping the Doc or doing a Laser Treatment, the Techs Ive met are outstanding! PRIMARY CARE DR's: Dr. Clark tops the list of the finest Animal Dr's I've ever known. She asks great questions, is accurately observant, extremely well educated, & a truly compassionate animal person. These combine to make her care the very best. ALL my animals adore her & when the time comes for them to die, THEY are comfortable with her & I trust her implicitly! I would recommend just about all of the Dr.s Ive met there. ER DOCS: Dr. Webster is the BEST ER doc EVER! She's saved the lives of several of my pets, as well as compassionately helping them die when other alternatives have been exhausted. She offers truly sage advice & explains everything, until she's certain we understand! She is GOLD & AAAH is damn lucky to have her skills, both w/animals & people!

I have done the ‘rounds’ of using different veterinary practices in several States over the past few years but having started with Dr. Franklin over 35+ years ago and having always had the most reliable and professional care, I can’t imagine why I ever considered taking my pet anywhere else! I returned to the practice recently under stressful, emergency circumstances and was immediately reminded why I have always had huge respect for Dr. Franklin and her team. I cannot stress enough how much I recommend this practice to all animal owners!

Our shih-tzu mix received absolutely extraordinary care during her last week. She was an older dog with a variety of health issues and not only did the regular care staff shore her up so she had a last couple of days of good quality of life, but when it was clear that she'd gone into renal failure, the absolutely incredible, compassionate Dr. Lingenfelter and vet techs Molly and Jessica patiently helped us to explore options (despite it's being New Years Day evening and every vet facility being absolutely over worked with skeleton crews), didn't rush us and were creative in helping me both stay safe (I have an immune disorder) but still hold my beloved dog as she took her last breaths so she would be at her most comfortable. This is a group that clearly really cares for the animals under their care and the humans who love them.

The emergency "vets" here are completely incompetent and uncaring. They charged me $800 to run tests and were unable to tell me anything. My cat was clearly in acute distress and they acted like it must be a chronic issue. What kind of …

Just about a year ago I had to bring my kitten in several times due to lethargy which we hoped was something minor. The word came back that she may have toxoplasmosis and we began treatment hoping it was the right diagnosis. Unfortunately, we had to take her back on New Years Eve because she seemed to be seizing and her temperature was not going down. The vet was incredibly kind and sweet letting us know that it appeared that she most likely had FIP. We could spend thousands trying to diagnose and treat our small kitten with no idea if there was a chance of recovery, but I couldn’t bear to put her tiny body through all of that trauma. The vet’s recommendation was to put her to sleep and, while this was the absolute worst news, I knew it was the right choice. The staff and vet were so kind to me and my kitten and let us say goodbye. I appreciate their kindness in such a tough time, especially as they were not our regular vet.

Back in August 2021, my mom's cat was having some serious trouble breathing. I was watching him while she was out of town for work. His normal vet is back home in Chicago, but he needed to be seen by a vet sooner than that. I was able to get him in to AAAH and he was seen and treated very promptly. They ran several diagnostic tests and took really good care of him. They communicated with me well, regarding the tests, the results, and possible treatment plans. They fixed him up really well. When he was back home in Chicago and was seen by his primary vet, she was so impressed with AAAH's work up - she didn't need to do any further testing! Just recently, I was cat-sitting again, and his breathing started to decline...again. We were so pleased with the care they provided at AAAH, I knew I wanted them to evaluate and treat him again. It was easy to get him in quickly, and the wait time from arrival to being seen was not bad at all. I just wish COVID restrictions could be ended, but they really do a great job trying to ensure safety for everyone. I would definitely recommend AAAH to others looking for pet care needs! Included a picture of our sweet lil' Bo :)

This is the one of the best, most thorough and very friendly place I've taken any of my furbabies! I have been here for wellness checks, emergencies, as well as having my baby PTS in @ 3a in my pjs after driving thru the worst snow storm of 2019 after all measures were exhausted w her. The doctor who helped Midna on her way was so sweet she cried along with me and then sent my a handwritten card the following week. This is a wonderful place to take your babies sick or healthy. From the reception desk & drive thru to the techs, nurses and Doctors all deserve praise. Thank you for being here A² Animal Hospital you guys are Pawsome!!!!

Ann Arbor Animal Hospital got my pup in for a same day visit and gave him the care needed to resolve a very bad ear infection. They were kind and thorough. Very glad to have this service!

I recently took my Labrador for her first visit to Ann Arbor Animal Hospital. Dr. Barnhart was great to work with. When I returned a week later to drop off a test at the drive-thru, I was surprised to see my dog up on the seat looking at the Hospital building wagging her tail. She has never done this before. After only one visit she remembered her positive experience there. It says a lot about this place. We are glad we found it!

Newly updated appointment system is a huge improvement! Due to a state Covid 19 spike, a quick adjustment was made to have owners wait in car for call from Vet as they examined pet. I received call in a timely manner and all my concerns were addressed. Note that this is one of many pets that I have entrusted to this practice over several decades-only place that I would consider.

Dr. Figarra is outstanding!. She performed extremity surgery on our adult dog and it went very well. He healed perfectly and is doing great. She also explained matters clearly afterwards. The staff was also excellent with communication and the overall care he received at Ann Arbor Animal Hospital was top notch. We have used that clinic many times and each experience has been positive. Highly Recommend.

My cat needed to be seen for a non emergency visit, I called a number of clinics and was turned down. Incredibly, the Ann Arbor Animal Hospital was able to see my cat the next day. I was impressed with the veterinarian's expertise and the hospital's overall quality of service. The diagnosis and recommendation for treatment was realistic and affordable.

Ann Arbor Animal Hospital showed extraordinary medical care & concern for our 12 year old Cockapoo who was suffering from an advanced bladder infection and an eyelid tumor. Their staff and doctor were compassionate and knowledgeable in treatment options for our pet. They also maintained safety protocol because of the Clovid virus. I highly recommend this veterinarian hospital.

We had a suspected pet emergency one night, and they answered the phone right away (we had already tried calling another place but were on hold for several minutes before calling here). The vet was super kind and nice and informative when we came in. He gave really helpful information. The one encounter we had was phenomenal. Can't recommend them enough.

Our nine year old Labrador retriever started to yelp out randomly in pain. We initially thought it may have been related to a weak hock or possibly an oral issue. Her yelping was so random we couldn't isolate what was causing her pain. We reached out to Ann Arbor Animal Hospital and were given an appointment the next day which was outstanding given the pandemic. We were greeted by a friendly staff member and promptly seen by Dr. Claire Dosenberry . Within minutes Dr. Dosenberry was able to isolate Tilly's pain to a disk in her neck, probably caused by her aggressive frisbee retrieving technique. We were prescribed a pain med and given restrictions. Its been several weeks and Tilly is now doing fine. Many thanks to Dr. Dosenberry and the terrific staff at Ann Arbor Animal Hospital!

We visited them for an emergency after my small dog ingested thc. When we called we were told she could be seen quickly. We got there, got checked in, and we're told we were next in line to be taken back. We waited 1.5 hours in the parking lot with our dog only to be told she wouldn't be seen for another THREE (3) hours. We obviously decided to go to a different emergency vet since thc ingestion is a serious matter for a small dog. I thought it was extremely unprofessional. If they had been more clear about the wait time when we showed up it wouldn't be an issue, we could have gone to another vet immediately and gotten seen, but her information was taken and we were told they would take her in right away only to be told 1 1/2 hours later it would be another 3 hours. I do NOT recommend this vet at all. They delayed my dogs treatment by 2 hours because they did not communicate the wait time at all and only told us we were next in line to be seen. Edit: And yes, before you ask, I am posting a review for the correct veterinary clinic we visited.

I recently took my 13 year old cat Cheddar to Ann Arbor Animal Hospital for a checkup. Dr. Zhang and the other staff who worked with my cat took their time and were very gentle with him. I appreciate their unrushed approach to their work and their genuine care. I also appreciated their attention to my request that they keep the cost of the visit within limits since I am on a fixed income. Cheddar and I will continue to go to Ann Arbor Animal Hospital for his checkups.

I was able to get a same day appointment for my cat. They were so competent, punctual and thorough. I would absolutely go back & highly recommend. I will add that it was not a real emergency, so I cannot comment on that side of their services. Thank you AAAH!!

Extremely unprofessional. They are supposed to be an emergency vet clinic and leave your animals in the back waiting room that is freezing for sometimes 9+ hours, the employees are also very rude. Please do not take your pets here.

We have used AAAH for almost 20 years now. They came to our house to euthanize two of our pups, and are now helping us with the 3 we have currently. I'm sure there are many competent vets in the area, but we won't take our dogs to anyone else. We have loved each and every vet and vet tech and front desk staff we have worked with. But I especially want to highlight and thank Dr. Critchfield. She has been the only doc for our 2 border collies for 8 years now, and we completely trust, respect, and appreciate her. If we are unsure about something, we ask her - if this was your dog, what would you do? And then we do exactly that. There's no one we would trust our pups with like we do with Dr. Critchfield. But, honestly, you can't go wrong with any of the docs here. Very highly recommended! Pic of our (four?) dogs.

This animal hospital has a higher kill rate than success rate, they have managed to keep all of their patients waiting over eight hours before being seen, we have six vet clinics where I am the waiting time is 15 minutes. They have mutilated animals and left them in their back room to simply die. This clinic should be shut down immediately and all animals examined there should be investigated. This hospital should reimburse every family for causing them to lose their pets. But this hospital won’t do anything but put you on hold and ignore your inquiries about your pets. They will neglect them harm them and even kill them if you leave your pets with these people. Please be safe a choose a better clinic for your pet with a higher success rate.

Leaving pets in a cold backroom and not doing anything to help them waiting until they freeze then telling the owners they died even if it was in for something like coughing meds. They wait for them to die and then tell the owners they passed when really there just freezing them or abusing then till they die

EVERYONE THIS IS THE WRONG HOSPITAL! Please do not spread misinformation about this establishment, I have never visited AAAH but if they are even half as better as EVH than they do not deserve this. The real address to the abusive hospital is 5245 Jackson RD. Please leave this innocent hospital alone.
