Now I don't usually leave reviews like this but I hope yall can learn from this mistake. They called me and left a voice mail about having my missing pet , so they would have them or some type of info no? When I called back to see if they had them, no one had any clue about my animal and let someone leave with them I suppose. I am truly appalled that this was allowed to happen without a note, a phone number, or saying anything to their other coworkers. In the end I was left with nothing but being disappointed.

I have had nothing but great experiences with YAH. We initially came here with a kitten, who ended up being very sick. Dr. Lanza worked with us for 2 months before we made the hard choice. The staff cried with us because they were just as invested in this kitten as we were (we were in there almost every week). We received 2 handwritten cards of condolences from the staff after we lost our little one. We adopted another cat and now take our older cat and kitten here and I won't go anywhere else. They give hand written notes after visits, and they clearly care for the animals while they are staying at the vet. They give follow up calls after visits to make sure everything is okay. Thats the difference between a corporate vet and a small town vet. 5 stars for YAH!

Dr. Lanza is the best!!! We had to unfortunately put our dog down, and Dr. Lanza explained each step thoroughly. She was very compassionate and caring. Definitely the best Vet around.

Unfortunately, we didn't get the news we were expecting yesterday when we took our sweet but lethargic cat in to YAH to be evaluated. They listened to our concerns, performed a thorough evaluation, and ultimately gave us some very heartbreaking news that we hadn't been expecting. We had to make the absolutely devastating decision to let our beloved pet go. It wasn't a happy visit at all... but I'm writing this review because the compassion shown to us from everyone was incredibly touching. We were there over 3 hours and not once we're we ever rushed... even though I was initially told after check-in that it had been quite a busy/hectic day for them. They took their time with us from the start. And after giving me the terrible news and explaining our options and giving their advice, they let me call my husband and wait for him make the 30 minute drive from work. They explained to him the news in person, let us talk and cry together privately, and take as long as we needed to say goodbye. They gave us all the time and attention in the world. They understood how hard this was for us and they cared. Thank you for your honesty, patience, and compassion.

Our Zola saw dr. Bakal and he was a nice man. When she was spayed a day later, Dr. Bailey was very nice over the phone and kept me at ease that the surgery will go smooth. After hearing that, i felt soo much better that my girl was in good hands! Thank you Dr. Bakal and Dr. Bailey!!!! Mary at the front dest is such a sweetheart .

The old man doctor needs to retire my dog was walking around fine he done rectal temperature then she had a big Knott in her stomach 20 minutes later had to put her down next day

I have continuously had bad experiences with this Vet. During my last visit, the Vet was running 1.5 hours behind. I had two dogs and my hands were full. It was extremely stressful because the waiting room was so small and I had 2 large dogs. After 1.5 hours I went to the front desk to complain and was put in a room only to wait about 20 more minutes. In addition to this, they NEVER answer the phone. And if you do call them, the turn around to get an answer to your question is typically 24-48 hours. When my dog was in renal failure and at the emergency Vet in Knightdale, I needed to get ahold of them to see if they could help us. After talking to the front desk and telling them it was an emergency and urgent because we were paying by the hour at the vet hospital... I didn't even hear from them until the next day! By that time I had already figured out a follow up plan with another Vet. Now I need a prescription filled and again, no one answers the phone all day long. There is no urgency here what so ever. I am done! You have lost my business. After writing this I would like to respond to the Owners allegations below. "We do not have your phone number record on file as you stated" - You have my Husband's cell phone number on file. On numerous occasions over the past 2 weeks as my dog has been going into renal failure, when I called and left a voicemail and or spoke to the front desk, I gave MY CELL PHONE number, not my Husband's. To say I didn't provide correct contact info is a complete lie. "We could not refill your prescription given we haven't seen you for a wellness exam since 2019" - You are right. We have not been back to you since 2019 since my experience was so bad. However, Louie was taken and had been seen by the Wake Med Vet and that Vet was out of her heart medication. They had performed a wellness exam. They wanted me to check with you to see if you had the prescription. It's fine because by the time you had called back, I had already gotten it filled by another Vet, that is how slow you are. Our records do not indicate dissatisfaction with your visit - You're right I did not fill out a survey. However, this is very alarming that you can say you didn't know I was dissatisfied given that I spoke to both the front desk and the Vet at the time and they knew how upset I was for waiting nearly 2 hours. Your team has grown more efficient - I have seen a huge decline in staff answering the phone and obviously taking appointments on time. I do not agree with this statement. I have called numerous days over and over again and can't even get someone to answer the phone. How do you run a business without communicating?

Extremely kind staff, we had to euthanize our dog here, they were very empathetic and let us take all the time we needed with her. They have always been very knowledgeable and work with you on treatments.

I love this place! Dr. Bailey is magical and the entire staff is incredibly warm and welcoming. I wish I came here sooner but happy to have found such a fabulous place that will continue to take excellent care of my "Maine man", Louie. I highly recommend this Vet to anyone who loves and cares for their furry family members.

This Vet Hospital is excellent! I spare no room when I say this. The staff here are amazing, and quite frankly I am sold on being a steady customer! This was only the FIRST visit here and I can say I HIGHLY RECOMMEND! THEY ARE EXCEPTIONAL! They understood my needs as my dog is aggressive, and they were very professional about it. They are informative as well! I feel blessed with finding them! They're prices are VERY reasonable! The vet I saw today had a wonderful calm and cool composure, despite my pet growling and barking constantly! The Vet techs are amazing too! Sweet, kind, relatable! I will be recommending them to everyone!
