Professional, friendly staff! I felt my dog was well taken care of and felt the exam was thorough. I especially appreciate the transparent pricing and description of estimated charges prior to completion. Nothing worse than getting a huge bill after services are rendered. I also like that they enforce the mask policy- in close quarters it’s great peace of mind. Will definitely make this our regular vet!

I love this place. I've only been there twice now, and I already love them. I've spent my entire adult life taking all my animals to a nearby vet, but had consistent issues with rude staff and general unhelpfulness. My first interaction with VCA was when my cat had a seizure, and my vet at the time couldn't be bothered to offer advice on if he would be okay or if he needed to be seen by vet. I just wanted to know if he *needed* a checkup or if he'd be okay now that the seizure was over (one of those "how worried should I be" phone calls) My vet at the time wouldn't even answer that. So I called VCA, and they gave me the answer I was looking for. Then I took a neighborhood cat to VCA during the pandemic, and the doctor called me and answered all my questions and then some. The girl at the front desk is the sweetest person ever (she deserves a raise), and if she doesn't have the answer to a question, she goes and inquires with a doctor. I appreciated her kindness so much, that I took the plunge and I switched my very fat, problem child of a cat over to VCAWB. I figured at best, the doctors would be as helpful as the receptionist, and at worst, even if the doctors were rude, at least the receptionist is kind and helpful, which would still be a vast improvement compared to my current vet. So I switched my extra large cat to VCA. The FIRST thing the Dr noticed was his eyes being two different colors (something I'd asked my previous vet about numerous times, but never got a real answer for), and I immediately knew that these people are here for the animals, not the money (they also told me the price upfront, which I appreciate). The doctor also told me that theres no need to be buying two different perscription foods and mixing them, because a different brand makes a 2-in1 combo food (why my previous vet didn't tell me that, I'll never know). The doctor wasn't even remotely bothered by my large, scared cats loud cries, and in fact, gave him a snuggle to calm him down while discussing the treatment plan. My previous vet wouldn't even weigh my cat (b/c hes loud, large and intimidating), and VCA didn't even think twice about it. I just KNOW this vet, these doctors, this staff, are going to help me figure out why my cat is unable to lose weight. I know they're going to keep trying until we find a solution, which is a welcome reprieve from the begging for solutions and toothpulling nature that I've received from my previous vet. Every animal I own will be switched to VCAWB. No questions asked. 10/10

If you want to throw money in the trash go to this place, they are clowns and try to drain every dime they can get out of you and not do they're job. Worst vet experience at a vet ever!

My dog has a mass above his left eye. I had already gotten it checked at my normal vet and they said I should have it tested. I called VCA to get it tested, which was the reason for my visit. They charge me $60 just to tell me I should get it tested, and then wanted to charge $240 more to do the test at a later time..useless

They're helping me take great care of my bearded dragon. Their exotic vet is very good. However, they have a policy due to covid-19 where you wait outside while your pet goes in and wait until the appointment is over. This is fine, I understand the need for this, however at my last visit because it wasn't a check up I couldn't see or speak to the vet at all. If things were normal and I'd be going inside for the appointment, I'd see the vet and be able to speak to him regardless of the kind of visit it is, so this policy of me not being able to speak to the vet at all was upsetting. It shouldn't have to be a checkup for me to be able to check in with the vet. I'll still keep going to this vet because he's great but I wish that one thing I mentioned was different. Edit: 4 star review became a 5 star review, Dr. Manolukes is so friendly and understanding and really listens to my concerns on my animals health.

Dr. manolukas is the absolute best. He has cared for my German Shepherd since she was 6 weeks old and she had so many medical issues and he worked endlessly to find solutions for her. I trust him 100% with his recommendations. And she also adores him!!!

These people are the best! They have taken care of two of my ferrets multiple times, and have always been absolutely great. After my ferrets surgery last week, he ripped his stitches open and they took him in today, cleaned it, and glued it back shut for me, no charge. I cant express how much I appreciate these wonderful people!

I had to find a vet after moving here pretty quickly as my cat needed some care. I searched on the Facebook group for Wilmington and these folks were rated well. When I called, the lady answering was polite, not curt, and took the time to gather the information on my car without sounding annoyed or bothered. After my cat was taken in, the vet called me herself and talked with me about treatment plans and didn’t try to push anything on me. She offered me my options and informed me of prices upfront. We even joked and laughed!! They also sent home some goodies for my cat. I’m very happy with my experience and would recommend them!

Really great place, went here a couple weeks ago with my new puppy. Being a new pet owner I was very nervous. I had Dr. Mitlitsky who was very sweet and answered all my questions. My tech I believe was named Sam who helped with all my concerns as well. Be sure you ask for both of them when you go. Overall this place was a great and I recommended it for those who need animal care.

I took my dog, Micah, in for a wellness check last week. He hadn't been to a vet in a while admittedly and I really didn't care for his last vet. He needed a wellness check, was due for his shots, heartworm test, etc. The staff was very, very friendly. The vet called me during the appointment to update me about my dogs health and test results. Spoiler alert, he does not have heartworms. He didn't make the conversation feel rushed. He took his time and let me ask questions, which he answered thoroughly. Then a few days later, he called me just to check on Micah. That to me is amazing service and patient care. I will definitely be trusting them with my dog's care in the future. To top things off, they have a reasonably priced exotic animal vet, so now I know where to take my ball python for his checkups! Can't say enough good things about these people, honestly.

VCA is amazing! They took such great care of our bearded dragon 2D and were very professional and caring in a hard situation. We will continue to use them for our other animals!

The girls are great with all the pets and are compassionate. You know you are leaving your furbabies in good care. The vets and techs are great about keeping you informed, following up to check on your pets and take the time to answer your questions and educate you to what you don't know.

I think this place is decent they've done a good job with covid-19 getting patients in and out.

The employees were nice but they didn't say much on what's wrong with my cat. They talk so hesitant on the phone while they had my cat. My cat had a weird episode of head tilting, losing balance, and losing focus. I got the receipt and search on the words that had to paid for. It shows that they did some infection check and some other check up. But I honestly think they didn't check enough. I've also search cats can have an ear infection and few days later after going to the vet place, she doesn't eat still and drink by herself I have to force her to. And whenever I touch one of her ears she twitches it alot and shakes her head. The veterinarians should have told me what I should be doing and what is wrong with her instead of them just guessing it and end up putting it as "money-score" for them.

This vet practice is one in a million!! We just went through a very hard time with a very sick pet. The staff at VCA WB were professional, caring, and very knowledgeable. The vet was thoughtful and knowledgeable about the latest evidence based practices. He walked us through every step and treated when treatment was necessary so we got a little more time with our sweet girl. When it was time to make the hard decision he was so kind and comforting. He helped us know we had done all we could in a humane way. The vet tech was so sweet and loved our baby like one of her own. She helped her pass with love and dignity.♥️ Honestly they give small town personal service with knowledge like being at a big city university specialist. Everyone was so amazing from the front office staff to everyone in the back!!! I can't say enough about this practice!!!

I have always appreciated the care my cat received here. Even during end of life care, VCA was stellar.

Overall, I wish I could say my experience was better. Dr. Mitlitski was our favorite but I had way too many experiences where the front desk did not have it together. The VCA is very costly and it seemed that they only wanted more money instead of the well- being of our animals. I even would ask for alternatives maybe something I could buy at the store and it seemed like I was judged by the staff for asking that. I understand it is a business but pets are also our family and I would have came back if I could see the consideration of the staff. We were on the puppy plan for our dog and they tried charging us for things that were already covered. I had to wait with my 5 month old puppy for an hour and a half one day without being communicated to that our normal vet was not there. I am very patient and understanding but we really did not get the customer service that we were looking for time after time again. I really do hope this improves.

I was terrified to take my bird to a vet after a horrific experience at a different vet office. Vca renewed my faith! Everyone assured me my bird would be well taken care of and it was true. Everyone is so courteous and Dr Manolukas takes all the time you need to ask questions. The front desk and vet techs are incredibly professional. And the best part is my little friend is on the mend. 100% recommend!!

As a new pet owner I haven't had a lot of experience with vets so I didn't exactly know what to expect but these guys were absolutely amazing! They were amazing with my cats and they talked to me in layman's terms so I knew exactly what was going on and what I could do to help fix it. Lilith and Persephone loved them! I definitely recommend these guys to any new pet owner or anyone in the area looking for a vet!

The best. Real people who understand we love our pets, but are budget conscious for us humans. Never feel pressured or shamed. I love them and they love my good boy!

After our 10 year old hound mix was brutally attacked by a mix pitbull, they saw me right away and worked with our budget. We are vert grateful to these people. They truly care about the animals first and foremost. Thanks so much, the DeBock family

Very kind and caring staff. Both of my dogs go here and they are very accommodating to their individual needs. They waive your first visit for each pet too! The vet and tech staff are all very attentive and take great care of my animals! I also trust them with boarding my fur babies.
