Wow. What a great experience. The staff there is totally professional and friendly and helpful. Took my 15 year old cat in for oral surgery. They fixed him up gave us his prescriptions and followed up with a call a week later. There were no snags or problems of any kind. I was honestly impressed and grateful for the excellent care they provided. Enthusiastically recommend.

Matt Resnick and staff are awesome. We still travel from Raleigh for our 2 pets care. They are personal and professional. We live in area surrounded by abundant vet care but still elect to use Porters Neck Veterinary Hospital.

We recently entrusted our partially blind, mostly deaf, fourteen year old poodle to PNVH after moving to the area. He has lodged (boarded) there twice now and, amazingly, he has given us excellent reviews. He has eaten his food, come home with all his toys and does not smell much worse than usual. We really like them too.

I was sent by my vet to get Bravecto for my cat, since my vet does not carry it. The young lady at the desk was wonderful ! She was helpful, kind, and shared with me that her brother had just qualified Airborne like this old soldier. Great place, great atmosphere !

With the staffing shortage all employers are facing, PNVH made it very easy to switch from our previous vet. They seem to have a better appointment system, and wait times, from what we were experiencing with our other vet in the last year. Everyone seemed willing to help from the first moment we contacted them. 5 stars

My dog was very ill with a heart issue. The staff went above and beyond helping Paco get well. He was on oxygen and then transported to the emergency vet because it was heading into the weekend when he got ill. Any help I’ve needed they were on it, and called me back within minutes to help with prescriptions or working with the emergency vet and updating me when he was in the back on oxygen. They even took his meds to the emergency vet. They are respectful, professional, and meticulous in handling details. These people helped my dog completely turn around like he was before getting ill. I love them!

Great veterinary care from cradle to grave. You can go almost anywhere for basic pet medical needs like shots, but Porter's Neck Vet has been given sound, compassionate counsel with new puppies and failing senior dogs alike (and even with healthy adult dogs in between). We're relatively new customers but have had great experiences through most pet events in that time and I recommend Porter's Neck Vet highly.

This has to be the best veterinary clinic in all of New Hanover County. The entire staff are off the chart amazing and Dr. Rowe is somewhere above that. I 100 percent trust the care of my dog to their very capable hands.

Loving and caring. Clean. Accommodating staff. Price equal to quality of service. I am glad I switched to this vet for sure! Recommended.

The techs are always so helpful and Dr. Rebecca always talks and listens to us after our sweet puppy's visit. The establishment was highly recommended to us by a friend and we are never disappointed.

The staff is always so nice. They've helped us through regular check ups, a torn CCL in our elderly dog, and the loss of a pet.

we take our two puppies to Porters Neck Vet and we love this place. They take such good care of our puppies and they act like they really care. Always friendly and prompt and they seem to always check up on the pups after we have had a procedure. I highly recommend Porters Neck Veterinary Hospital.

Not happy with them this morning. Among other things that have happened, this morning I arrive at 7:45. I pull into the 2nd parking space. I'm the 2nd person to arrive. I pull in the parking space so I'm not facing the door. I called their office to get a recording about it not being regular business hours so I hung up. By this time it's almost 8 and just about all the spots are taken. 8:02 someone comes out and speaks to the person in the first spot. A few mins later another person comes out and speaks to the person on the other side of me. I roll the window down and ask if I was supposed to have called and she said yes because we don't know when you got here. I told her when I got there and the people on each side of me if she had asked could have verified. Saturday is first come first serve so now I have to wait hours to be seen. Its not an easy thing for me to take both my dogs to the vet. I have to borrow a vehicle because one has wobblers. I left the parking lot and called the office. I explained to them as well what happened and its obvious that it was of no concern to them as well. Now I have to take off work on Monday and borrow a vehicle again. This just added fuel to the other things that have happened and I'm now looking for a new vet. Even more fuel added with the visit on Monday will be another new vet at PNV. One of my dogs has a UTI which I was told by my normal vet I could call and get meds since it's so difficult to get my Dane in the car because of her Wobblers Disease but when I tried that on Wednesday the girl told me no I could not it had been to long since she had gotten meds for that and she had to be seen. Main reason for today's visit which now will have to be Monday. It's nearly impossible to sit for an hour or longer with my 2 Danes in a small car....thanks Porter's Neck for your compassionate staff.

I've been a client here for almost 20 years. Wouldn't trust anyone else with my kitties especially since we can't be present for their appointments.

What an incredible experience. We just moved to Wilmington two weeks ago with our nine year old English White Golden Retriever who had ACL surgery only 10 weeks ago and a UTI right after we arrived. Dr. Mathew Reanick was so professional and so thorough. Thank you to Dr. Matt & his thoughtful staff. The Smith Family

I called early Tuesday morning that 15 year old dog was having a lot of pain and shaking. Response was we can see him Thursday at 1:00 is the earliest appointment. I again stated that his was in pain, the girl said well you can try walk in tomorrow between 8:00 and 4:00 cannot promise when you will be seen!! This is what you call caring about animals! I have been going here for about 3 years and have paid them a lot of money. I do like Dr Simmons a lot I wonder if this is how they want their clients to be treated. I need a new Vet!!

Our long time cet at Scott’s hill animal hospital passed away sadly of cancer and porters neck was the ONLY vet in 50 miles who was willing to see 2 rescued pups. They were nothing but kind to Peanut and Egg. We go back Monday to hopefully get a mama dog who was used in a back yard breeding case fixed and feeling better! All rescues deserve great vet and vet techs. We are so grateful! We will see u on Monday and Wednesday and for years to come! Sophie, Peanut, Egg and Jamey Herndon and family.
