Dr. Coble, Dr. Toler, and staff are amazing! If you looking for a vet for your furbabies, take them there. You will know that they are being treated as if they were their own.

"...here you go, sign you life away" is supposed to be some sort of funny joke when dropping a French bulldog off for surgery to be neutered the first time? Pets deserve a place that treats them and thier owners with dignity...I must suggest going somewhere else.

When I rescued my pup at 8 weeks old, I was required to get her spayed here, per the rescue group. I decided to continue to use this vet as our primary because the staff was kind and We were very happy with the care that our pup received from dr. Coble. HOWEVER, I’ve been using this vet for over a year and I have to say, it has gone wayyyy down hill. The front desk staff is extremely rude, and hardly ever answers the phone. They used to allow us to come in on Saturday's for shots as our work schedule makes it difficult for us to come in during the week. That has since changed apparently, and it’s like pulling teeth to get a weekend apt. Everything is rush rush, and there isn’t a drop of compassion in this building amongst the staff (with the exception of ONE tech that I can’t remember her name, and dr.coble). The thing that really threw me over the edge is that they have traumatized my dog, in the way that she is TERRIFIED to go into this office. I Have NEVER had any issues with her until recently. Instead of listening to me when I suggest that they do her shots in the room with me (as they have done in the past!) they drag her to the back and I can hear her crying through the walls. I could also hear them making comments about my dog claiming that “she’s to crazy, she needs to be sedated”. She was SCARED. They have tried to throw sedatives at me 3 times now for basic routine shots. Under certain circumstances I can understand why a dog would need to be sedated, but we are talking about shots. Which has never been an issue, until now. my dog has NEVER been aggressive in anyway. She is just a wiggle worm and she feels more comfortable when I am holding her. DR. Coble has always been amazing with our pups and we will certainly miss him. But I am sick of my dog being treated poorly by the rest of the staff. ESPECIALLY the weekend staff. I also want it to be noted that DR. Toler was wonderful as well. My problem is with the reception and tech staff.

Our family is incredibly grateful for Port City Animal Hospital! Dr. Coble and all of the staff members showed gentle care to our 16 year old girl, they took exceptional care of her, seeing her sometimes every other week during her final years. They were able to give us a few years of quality of life with her that otherwise, we don’t believe we would have had. We thank them all and would recommend them whole heartedly!????

The vet himself was great. I had no issues with him and how he worked with my puppy. In regard to scheduling getting a response back was a hastle, especially when you work long hours and need to find an accommodating time with a demanding job. Not getting a answer after a couple of calls, leaving a voicemail and not hearing back until a week later. Typically voicemail responses occur with at least 48 hours, not a week. I wouldn’t recommend for that reason.

They helped me get to where I needed to go to help my Sara. As she was too far gone. Thank you for helping me help her cross the rainbow bridge.

I feel that if your title is "animal hospital " you should be able to care for animals at night and after hours. But my dog was in need of fluids throughout the night and I was told to take her to an emergency after hrs clinic but we had to pick her up in the morning and bring her back to them for care during the day. What's that about???? Then just recently I called to get a nail trim. " we don't do nail trims anymore " So now I have to get her records of immunization and take somewhere Else to get a nail trim by less qualified persons just at a pet shop pulling time on a clock just to get production. Anyway. I guess you can gather that I'm not happy. Thanks for lustening!
