I came in today to get a nail trim for my dog. I walked up to the counter and Christy seemed very impatient to begin with due to the lack of tables they had. She asked me if we could do it on the floor and I was fine with that. I was kneeled down distracting my dog and she snapped and said “can you sit with him??” so I did. She clipped one of his nails and made it bleed. I get it, accidents happen. She then proceeds to clip another one of his nails and makes it bleed everywhere. Then WIPES my dogs bleeding paw with the towel she just WIPED the FLOOR with. I was horrified. She tried to keep going but I made her stop and left. I would also like to clarify that my dog has CLEAR nails. I have to take him somewhere bc his nails are so thick for store bought clippers. I get being busy, and I would’ve been happy to come back a different time. But her rushing resulted in her harming my dog.

I made it a priority to write this review this evening to comment on your Assistant Manager, Taryn. I have lived in this area only about a year, and have been in, and had occasion to call your store many times. Overwhelmingly, whether it’s a call or visit, Taryn has been the person who has helped me. I have a big, sweet, standard goldendoodle, who happens to be spoiled …(and, of course, deserving!) of all that I buy and do for her—the fact that she eats better than I do, notwithstanding!) Taryn is always upbeat, informative, helpful, and smiling, regardless of what I can imagine at times, might be a stressful day-based on my observations in the store when busy. She also has a great memory! She remembers not only me, but my doodle and even orders I’ve placed, which have been back ordered for several months. As a former business owner myself for over 25 years, I can definitely appreciate the value of such a good employee. Business owners tend to get the negative comments or complaints, and though we know the value of our employees, we often don’t receive the benefit of customer feedback when our employees go the extra mile to help them. We all tend to remember bad experiences, but forget to thank those who have helped us, and/or made our experience a really good one. I often thought about Taryn and that I should let the owners know just how great she is, but like everyone else, get busy and forget. So today, after yet another pleasant, extremely helpful and always cheerful experience with Taryn, i just could not let myself forget again to say so. I hope Pet Supplies Plus in Wilmington’s owners know the gem they have in Taryn, and will to do whatever it might take to keep her on board for years to come! Catherine H

The store is locally own. The staff has always been friendly and helpful. The price of the pet food is comparable to other pet stores.

Everyone is very friendly and helpful. Wish they had more variety of koi and other pond fish but definitely my go to store for all my kitty fostering supplies

We took our Shorkie there for grooming and were very pleased...she seemed perfectly herself when I picked her up and she is normally very skittish.

Shoutout to Nicky and Carson for being amazing employees! Very helpful and always so sweet when I come in. Nicky always goes out of her way to ensure that I have everything I need each time I come in! Carson as well is super kind and always seems glad to help! Both stunning employees and I love this store in general! Very friendly staff!

I was in this store the other day looking for toys for my Golden Retriever and Nicky was a tremendous help when it came to finding toys that were hard to destroy. She went out of her way to point out the best toys and was extremely nice the entire time. I am very grateful to live near such a people friendly pet store. The overall staff was very kind but I had to give a special shout out to Nicky for making sure I got the best toys for my dogs, and it worked because he loves them! Thank you!

Excellent experience today with Santa/pics! Made some donations and bought a toy for the pup! Alyssa, the cashier was smiley and friendly! We will be back to visit again soon????????

It's a really good store! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because we take our dogs there to be groomed. They usually do a great job, but not this last time. The groomer didn't cut our dog as we asked.

Great customer service. I love the do it yourself dog wash, however this location doesn't always provide the grooming brushes that other locations provide.

Very friendly staff, they get to know you and your pets. Top notch grooming and nail trimming.

Very clean, used their dog wash station 3 times and was awesome. Had my dogs nails trimmed, and quite happy with how the lady handled my pups.

Groomers are excellent especially Christy.

This store cares nothing at all about animal care. Refusing to take sick animals to the vet. Not feeding the animals enough. A manger said to feed just enough to keep them alive but not to grow and be healthy. Do not buy any animals from here they are suspect in all respects.

This place always has what I need for my pup. The staff is always so kind and friendly.

Absolutely amazing people. They care about the well being of our animals but also care about theirs. They told me all about the care of small animals and reptiles i had questions about and even told me about there own. Prices are great. Definitely will come back here.

Employees are kind, however the store is messy and the animals seem unkept. Wouldn’t recommend.
