The absolute best veterinarians in or around the Wilmington area. I have been going here for 13 years and wouldn’t trust anyone else with the care of my girl Jade. Professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable. If you’re looking for people that truly care, look no further.

Brought our beloved 10 week old pup to Dr. Redfern and she and her assistant could not have been more attentive, knowledgeable, and assuring. We are so grateful!

Clean, clean, clean!! Professional and intelligent doctors and excellent practices. They focus on your pet and discuss all issues thoroughly, giving options for all treatments needed. I researched all of Wilmington before I decided to come here, and I’m glad I did. If you want only cheap service, don’t come here. This is a veterinary hospital where you can feel safe if you have to leave your pet for surgery or procedures. If you are involved in your pets well-being and happiness, this is the veterinarian for you. I did not find the prices much more than other vet services, and the professionalism, cleanliness, and peace of mind is worth any extra cost.

I cant say enough good things about this vet or recommend it enough to people! Dr. Amy Holverson and the rest of the team at Lacroix are absolutely amazing and very knowledgeable! The level of care your pet will receive is top notch and affordable! My cat has severe anxiety ( not around myself or partner but with everyone else) and has other medical issues going on. We went to a few vets before finding LaCroix, not one was able to even look at her initially outside of her carrier and also suggested dangerous last resort sedation methods as well as unnecessary long term medications for ours and our fur babys situation. LaCroix was able too see her safely and provide her with all her vaccines and start care for her other issues. They have been upfront and honest about what our options are and patient answering any questions we might have. My family is grateful for them! Thanks LaCroix ???? ????

Just wanted to update my below review as I still can’t express how much I love having LaCroix as my vet. Last November my amazing pup, Riley, was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer. Although we recently had to say goodbye to Riley and let her be at peace, Dr. Redfearn and staff at LaCroix were beyond amazing throughout the whole process. The amount of care, love, and support I received from the staff the entire time helped make the situation so much easier to deal with on both Riley and myself. I’ve been with LaCroix for years and their expertise and passion for animals is evident. _______________________________________________ Love the whole staff at LaCroix! Everyone there is so sweet and were great with my Riley. Both the tech and the vet were so knowledgeable and they took the time to explain every single thing to me, which I very much appreciate. I definitely recommend this vet office!

All the vets and the rest of the staff here have always been very caring with my dogs. I have been coming here for over 18 years now, always a good experience, great people!

This was my first visit to LaCroix after moving from northern Virginia. Dr. Carrie Dixon was terrific with my 4 year old Coton deTulear Beyla. Due to COVID-19, I was unable to meet Dr. Dixon in person, but the after-appointment phone consultation was thorough and professional. I look forward to taking Beyla to LaCroix for years to come.

Dr Carrie Dixon is fabulous. She is immensely knowledgeable about dogs & shows a great deal of care & concern in her decision making. My dog is nervous around new people & the staff here really knows how to handle him & gain his trust (with lots of treats!) I have never felt like they recommend things just to make a buck. Reasonably priced & excellent care. Recently moved out of the area but I will still make the drive here because I really trust the staff.

The doctors are compassionate and knowledge. The office staff is efficient and well organized. Have never had the need to look for another veterinarian because they are top notch and I see them a lot as the owner of several dogs and cats over the years!

LaCroix staff are amazing! They take the best care of my sweet husky, Glacier - they treat her as though she is one of their own, which is exactly what I want in a vet. Glacier got an ear infection last week and they were able to fit her in (via drop off) to be seen. She is doing so much better and I even got a courtesy call from them this morning to check on how she is doing. Love them!

We love LaCroix Vet Hospital! I brought my dogs in for their new pet visit and Dr. Dixon and Candice were extremely helpful and explained everything clearly! They both answered all of my questions and were so sweet to my dogs. We look forward to being a part of the LaCroix family.

Great people working here. They have been my vet for over 6 years and they've always done a great job. They're patient and thorough. They take the time to know their patients and make me feel like I'm not just some other customer coming through

The vet technicians were an absolute dream. Kind, great phone etiquette, and calmly explained everything I needed to know. Answered all of my questions. I was never pressured into agreeing for procedures, tests, lab work, or specific examinations. They complimented on the good health and disposition of my 17 yr old cat. Everyone I spoke with treated me like a family member. I left the visit completely informed with a detailed “report card”. I will never seek another health care hospital. I felt a confidence that way exceeded my expectations.

I'm so glad we switched vets! The LaCroix staff is extremely friendly and patient. They took the time to explain everything to us and were so sweet to our puppy.

I brought our cats in for an annual checkup and rabies vaccines and everything was handled very well. I got an email prior to the visit outlining options for preventive tests (& the cost), which I liked so we could think about what we wanted done before we got there. Since I couldn’t go in with my cats due to COVID-19, I was nervous about one of them in particular who hates going to the vet. They let me know he did well and they let him take breaks by working on our other cat. I got thorough information and when I had more questions later, Dr. Redfearn called me back - at 7 PM! She was still working and took her time to discuss things with me in spite of how late it was. Great experience!

Dr. Dixon is wonderful. She's extremely thorough, and I have complete confidence in her ability. I highly recommend her, and the whole practice.

I recently rescued a pit bull I named Samson, or, Bub bub for short. He kept getting this ear infection. Twice I took him to the same place. I don’t have any complaints or anything. But when it came back a third time and I could tell he was in agony it was a Saturday. My current vet was closed. Two other vet offices said it was over a month for new clients. LaCroix’s staff was wonderful, really. Just patient, accommodating and informative. Samson got seen that day. Covid has definitely mixed things up but I was impressed how LaCroix has adjusted. Just very organized. The vet was very sweet too. Explained everything going on and my options. Not in a rush to get off the phone. And guest what? My bill was cheaper! Like I said before, there was nothing wrong with my other vet, but having Saturday as an option and being cheaper are advantages to this office
