Great friendly staff. They really care about what they do. This is from the first person you see when you walk through the door to the doctor taking care of your pet.

This was my first experience with them. They did not disappoint. Super friendly and caring staff. Took great care of my cat! Highly recommend them!

I called in on a Thursday to schedule a simple vaccine for my dog while temporarily living in Hampstead. The lady on the phone was nice and offered to schedule a walk-in vaccine appointment on that Saturday - which was great! However, upon my arrival I was “greeted” by a woman with a poor attitude that questioned whether I was in the correct location because my dog wasn’t on the calendar and they “would have never scheduled such an appointment”. No offer to help. No offer to make up for being misled. A halfway apology that insinuated that I was in the wrong. Horrible customer service and based on other bad reviews, it seems I’m not the only one. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I am writing my review almost a year late, as I have officially switched vets. I was new to the area last year and heard great reviews for the Hampstead Hospital and booked my dog's annual physical appointment for a Friday afternoon. I arrived 10-15 minutes early, so I anticipated being a head of my appointment and waiting. I ended up standing in the waiting room and waiting an hour past my scheduled appointment time. The entire time, the front desk individuals ignored me. No one made an attempt to at least reach out and explain the delay or apologize. I finally got answers because at the hour mark (again, the hour after my scheduled appointment time), I walked to the desk to inquire about my dog's appointment with the plans to leave because I was honestly getting frustrated. Shortly after they took me back, explaining that they were behind all day from an emergency procedure first thing this morning (this was about ~4 p.m. now). I totally understand that, however, they should have explained this rather than letting their new patients hang out for over an hour in the waiting room. Once back in the room, the staff was so behind that they rushed everything. The veterinary who was assigned our case breezed through her exam and explanation, never taking the time to build trust and rapport with both myself and my dog (who happens to be slightly nervous around new people). The vet mentioned something off with her heart beat, but in the next breath went on to talk about how bad the medications I was prescribed from my last vet were, and then immediately went onto to discuss the pink skin folds on my dog's belly. No explanations were provided and I literally had to stop her to ask her to rewind and provide a more detailed explanation about her heart. This was concerning to hear as a dog mom! This continued throughout the rest of the exam. The staff wanted to take my dog in the back then to cut her nails and clean her eyes (she tends to get the red tears on her face), however, the rapport was not there and I honestly didn't trust them so I asked to accompany my dog because again, no explanation was given to what they planned to do with me dog - they simply started walking out of the room. My request to accompany my dog confused them, but they agreed. They found themselves having to wrestle my dog (she's a 19 pounder....not huge) and when they clipped her nails, they actually cut her, further scaring my dog. I was then lectured on my poor choice of medications (given to me from the previous vet) and told I needed to change them. However, with the continued patterned of providing me, as the dog parent, minimal information so I had full understanding. I left that clinic feeling extremely frustrated and displeased with the service. The bedside manner (even for a vet is important) was non-existent. I will never be returning and have spoken about my experience with other dog owners who are also new to the area.

Not sure how you qualify as an “emergency vet” as an appointment only business. Maybe change the name and description of how you do business, quite misleading.

Are cat showed up one day. And she did not look good. So I took her there. And there checked her over completely so we knew she was healthy. And did everything to make her stays that way.

I don't live in this state but I was here and needed a vet that could see my Service Dog. Thank goodness Dr. Bradler was able to care for her. Precious Rose was diagnosed with pneumonia in Florida, Dr. Bradler was able to see her and give additional stomach meds so the antibiotics Precious was on wouldn't bother her stomach. Dr. Bradler also found a lose tooth and removed it. I couldn't be more thankful for the care Dr. Bradler provided.

Will never use again. Awful experience. Don't put your pet or yourself through this.

I’m not a complainer, but..... The doctor never introduced herself. There were four people in there, so we weren’t even sure which one the dr was. After giving my cat shots, and putting him back in his carrier, they forgot to trim his nails and had to take him back out. While trimming his nails, the girls doing it, ran out of the room, carrying my cat and yelling for the doctor. Never even telling us what was going on. Five + long minutes later they came back in with him. I had to ask what was going on. They said he had an infected toe. Have to take him somewhere else for dental work. I don’t think so. I just relocated here and didn’t know a good vet, but my dr in my hometown always did the little bit of tarter scraping right at the appointment. I’m still looking for a vet, since I have another cat to be taken care of and won’t be going back.

I can’t say I’ve ever had a really bad experience with this vet, but their older receptionist (apologies I don’t know her name) is so incredibly off putting it makes you not want to go here. She sounds rude on the phone and isn’t pleasant in person. I’ve also witnessed her be unfriendly to the other workers. She’s just not friendly, there’s no way others haven’t complained. How can the owner want her to work for them? Hope this changes.

they would get "0" stars, Don't take your pet here if you care about them! pending investigation, but we discovered a horrible burn on our dogs side, they use heating pads or hot water bottles to warm the animal after surgery. 4th degree Burns, that will require 2 surgery's. please pray for his recovery!

Great doctors. We're not aware of treatment and sent us to a specialist for our feline. Thank you.

My indoor senior long haired cat Amy had some mats in her fur that I couldn't get out. I must have called around 6 or 7 different groomers and vets before I found Katherine at Hampstead Animal Hospital. I was able to get Amy in within 2 days and the cost was VERY reasonable. When and if I need a groomer in the future, Hampstead Animal Hospital will be my first call. Thank you Katherine.

The care for our fur babies is superior. Dr. Bradler and Dr. Moore treat our pets like they are theirs. Can not say enough good about them.

I had great experiences with both doctors- however, when I saw Dr, Bradler we received follow up calls on my Doxie’s Recovery- WONDERFUL!! However, recently brought my Doxie in For Pancreatitis- kind of serious too. We saw Dr. Moore??” I believe-“ she was WONDERFUL! However, no follow up calls- a lack of staff concern when I was following up with continued problems! Of course I could never get Dr. Bradler- ( always in surgery) Dr. Moore is great, but again- no follow up! It’s extremely hard to get an appointment if you want to see them for what “ you” consider an emergency! You get an appointment 2 days later and wait to be seen by a doctor 1 hour. When you are talking about my dog- I want the same care I got when I was fortunate enough to see Dr. Bradler.

They care about the animals but also the money. Like most vets, they are pushy

Dr. Moore is excellent. I trust her completely with my little Stella. She takes her time with your pet and she is very thorough. I highly recommend her. Ask for her by name. When you go and tell her Stella sent you.

If i could give this place zero stars I would. If you have an emergency you get the run around that they are double booked and are told to call someone else! Wow, I've never heard such a thing. The vet talks down to customers in a very condescending way. Every time I brought my dog in for a visit, the vet plays the game of "finding" a flea on my dog but doesn't actually show me the flea. So fed up with the games there, they just want your money. Front desk staff is rude too.

Went there for years with no issues. Then went in & was told my pet needed to stay over night bc of blood in stool, even though he was eating, playing, drinking, no fever, no parasites etc. Told them I would monitor him at home first, the vet acted like I was a bad owner. They told me the bill would be $175(for running a few tests). I went in and they tell me $240! I ask why? they had given him a solution injection in his rectal WITHOUT approval! Then charged me for a small $30 bag of dog food they didn't ask me. Pushy and over priced. Maybe it was just that vet, idk.

Dr. Bradler always calls the day after to check on our dog and if she is having any reactions to treatment. I love her sweet caring spirit and am happy she’s our vet. Her whole team is kind to the animals and the facility is extremely clean.
