Terrible experience. Front desk was helpful, but the Veterinarian was seemingly unhelpful and aggressive with the animal. Will never return.

I have used Forest Hills veterinarian hospital for a year and would not suggest it. The vet does not take the needed time to discuss with the patient his/her concerns. Perhaps this clinic would be fine if you had an animal in good health; however, if you have an animal that may be older, overweight, previous trauma, or other health or psychological concerns, the vet will not take the needed time to discuss the betterment of the animal. Instead, the vet comes off as very matter of “fact,” making quick judgements about the owner (hence why “fact” is in quotation marks) and not offering helpful or insightful advice. I have gone to this vet twice as I gave them the benefit of the doubt after my first visit as to the behavior of the vet in terms of judgements and unwillingness to provide helpful suggestions for the betterment of my animal. It is a shame, as the rest of the staff are absolutely wonderful - being fantastic at making appointments and follow ups and coming to the vehicle to pick up animals during covid. Even if you have a pet in good health, I would not suggest the clinic as inevitably your pet will grow older and health concerns may arise in which the vet will not take the time and consideration to discuss what is going on with the pet and provide helpful, nonjudgmental solutions. 2/5.

The male vet never seems to listen to our concerns truly, to get my dog up on the table he crowded her and scared her to death which only made her anxiety worse in the room, and We recently went in to get our dogs nail fixed because it was chipped and broken and they either didn't give us enough pain meds or have ground her nails way too far back and she's in more pain than when we first took her. Not all experiences here bad, but enough (especially with male vet) to the point where we will not be going back. Wont put my dog through that again!

I love this vet. I got my dog in 2003 and her first visit was to Forest Hills with Dr. G and continued with him for all her visits ever since. After 17 wonderful years, I had to let my sweet girl go. Even though the people who work there deal with this all the time, they were incredibly compassionate and caring. You can tell everyone there truly loves animals. I can’t say enough good things-they are just a great group of people.

Been coming to Forests Hills since moving to Wilmington 6 years ago. Dr. Paul Gigliotti is an amazing veterinarian and the entire staff go above and beyond to ensure the health and well being of the animals under their care. They saved my senior dogs life after a severe injury and did so with skill and unbelievable compassion. I am a forever fan and supporter of this Veterinarian.

I am sincerely sorry for anyone who’s ever had a bad experience here but those folks are describing a vet I’ve never met after almost 10 years. Doc G and his staff have come to my rescue time and time again as I have an active Cancer survivor, (THANK YOU GOD, & DOC G), who loves to romp on the beach, (sliced open foot, random shell), terrifying possible Cancer reoccurrence that was a nail bed infection, (THANK YOU DOC JILL), squirrel hunter / tree climber, (sprained shoulder) and 8+ years of yearly checkups and care. There isn’t another vet in town that I’d rather have taking care of my girl. Their prices are reasonable, their reaction time is immediate, and I have no problem trusting them with my whole world, which my Goosedog is. I called at 9:58 on a Wednesday morning and Doc G was checking my girl’s limp at 10:29. His staff make follow up calls after your visit if it was for anything other than routine, they don’t push things I don’t need or want and more important to me than ANY of the above... Goose loves them and trusts them and is almost always glad to see them, despite surgery she couldn’t possibly understand and countless yearly needle sticks and thermometers in places we won’t talk about.

Travel across town to bring my three cats to FHVC. Best care, outstandingly customer service. A closer vet wanted to treat my cat for diabetes when FHVC realized his issue was a common allergy to a med he was prescribed. Will always bring my pets here regardless how far away I am. Saw me right away when I had the issue with the closer vet. Follows up with calls. Front office staff is great. Know your name and your pets and really care. Highly recommend. My sister recommended and i totally trust with my pet family.

I have been taking my dog there since she was 6 weeks old. They have always been kind and friendly. They always work me in when needed. Always upfront and don’t try to sell me on anything. We appreciate them and all their hard work.

I take my 11 month old Siamese cat to a different vet, but chose Forrest Hills Vet for his neuter because they had the availability open! It was a one day procedure. Everyone was extremely courteous and helpful! I was not worried one bit leaving my baby boy and received prompt phone call when he was out of surgery! It was very reasonable prices and they sent me home with eye drops for his little sleep under his eyes! Highly recommend. I work in customer service I would give this place at 10 stars!!!!

Brought our dog in for a flu shot; friendly staff and well maintained facilities. Should have treats for different types and sizes of dogs during the examination.

I have had some very good vets over the years and Forest Hills Vet is by far the best. Drs. Paul, Jill, and Jeff have all seen and cared for a senior dog and multiple cats. Their compassion is obvious. Health care options are fully discussed with any medical and financial concerns addressed at the time of the office visit or by phone/email when the need arises. The support staff is also the best and deserve their own 5 Star rating! Highly recommended!!

I cannot express enough how wonderful this vet is! I had an odd request last week- my dog's regular vet couldn't fit her in for surgery until over a week later and meanwhile she had a tumor that had ruptured and was a mess. I brought her medical history, and after a very well explained consult, Dr. Gigliotti performed the surgery the next business day. He took his time, didn't push any extra procedures, and actually quoted less than our regular vet! The facility is new and clean. 100% recommend.

We brought our pets here a few times and in general were satisfied with their care. However, we had two separate dogs brought in with puncture wound injuries. Neither was given a drain and both developed swelling. We took the dogs to different vets afterwards and they were both shocked that Forest Hills would release the dogs in the condition they did. Unfortunately, I would recommend against bringing your pets here.

The staff is overall nice, but very pushy about their products. Compared to other doctors in Wilmington, they are over priced. Dr Paul Gigliotti has no bed side manner what so ever. Totally completely misdiagnosed my dog, after ‘examining ‘ …

My 15lb dog has been super nervous since the day she was born. Everything scares her and she just can't seem to calm down - ever. I took her in to get a rabies vaccine and I told the vet that I think she would benefit from some sort of anti-anxiety medicine because she is a nervous wreck. I tried all the online remedies - melatonin, exercise, herbs, supplements. Her mom is fine - this dog is a nervous wreck. The vet wouldn't let me get any sort of pharmaceutical and made me feel like I was trying to get a fake prescription for my dog to abuse the medicine myself. Well, when the vet and assistant started to give my dog the rabies shot, as soon as the needle hit her skin she had projectile diarrhea while letting out the funniest screamy yelp and makes quite a mess. I thought it was pretty good karma but I still haven't found a solution for her anxiety.

Dr. Jeff Phillips was so loving and kind to my little girl (cat). My cat was so nervous, and he took the time to soothe her. He was very informative and even offered to email him if I had any questions. He is an excellent addition to Forest Hills Veterinary Hospital!

I've been taking my pets there since they first opened. The staff is extremely caring and kind. I appreciate that the doc takes time to explain things in layman's terms.

Have used them since coming to Wilmington. The doctors and staff are excellent and treat you with compassion and empathy when your dog is very ill. Wouldn't go to another vet.

Dr. Gigliotti treated my dog a couple of times years ago before we relocated out of state. Now that we are back here, I chose to take Dexter back to Forest Hills. I couldn’t have made a better decision. All of the staff made us feel welcomed and comfortable, as if we had never departed. It was determined that Dexter had to have an unexpected surgery during our visit back. Dr. Gigliotti was extremely thorough in explaining step by step what was to be expected and remained patient as I asked numerous amounts of questions. He went above all expectations before, during, and after the procedure. Dr. Phillips assisted us the day of surgery, as well. He was friendly and reassuring. I recommend Forest Hills to anyone who doesn’t just want a VET for their pets, but wants a VET who genuinely cares for the well being and quality of life your fur baby will have.

Absolutely LOVE Dr. Paul, Dr. Jill and staff. We have been taking our dog and 2 cats to them for several yrs now and they have gotten us through a couple of crises. I feel like they treat our babies as if they were their own, so I know they are in the best possible care. It's a 40 minute drive for us, but when you fine someone you trust it is all worth it...
