Before dropping my dog off on 01/20/2022 prior to the ice storm, I called the facility to verify they would be open throughout the storm which they confirmed they would as they had staff who lived nearby. Less than 24 hours later, when I am 6 hours away, they call to tell me to pickup my pet because they were closing. The premise of boarding is to care for pets when no one else is available, especially when the owner is traveling. My other option was to just leave her unattended at the facility in below freezing weather. Needless to say, I will never trust my pet to either the boarding facility of the veterinarian practice.

Website says open until 9 pm go by to see if they can see my baby and not even a sign of life, like they’ve been closed for hours. Would be nice to have reliable information on the website but may be a blessing if something as simple as hours is hard to maintain how reliable is service?

They charging a curbside pick-up fee?! What additional costs to the business occur because someone has to walk outside to pick up a customer's pet? This is terrible.

Great team for your furry friends! Enjoyed visiting this location to meet with Dr. Culpepper regarding the care of our “Tux”. The staff was super helpful and very professional. Highly recommend visiting this care facility for all your furry four legged family members. ????

This is a fantastic vet and day care and groomer all in one place. All are top notch. My dog loves to come here. She loves the doctors as well as the day care staff and groomer. It is a wonderful feeling when your pet actually loves going here. You know she is well cared for and treated well when she’s not scared. I highly recommend College Road Animal Hospital for all your pets needs

Excellent Animal Hospital! King, an elder feral cat that we adopted, was needing a checkup. He apparently wanted to expel a hair ball that wasn’t coming out. He also had ear infection and flea issues. Dr. Brown and technician Jordan took great care of him, and were very kind and knowledgeable. The doctor is very professional. She made some recommendations, administrated the yearly rabies vaccine, along with an antibiotic to help with other issues. She also gave him anti-flea medication to the back of his neck, where he could not rub it off! He quickly seemed better, with 80% of the fleas gone! From now on this is my favorite Animal Hospital. Worth to travel from Carolina Beach to College Road Animal Hospital in Wilmington NC Thank you MEOWN

We came to College Road Animal Hospital because our regular vet couldn't see my pibble for weeks, in an emergency situation. Needless to say, y'all helped my boy then. And y'all continue to care for him as you are our regular vet now!

We have 2 big dogs that can be hard to handle but were able to come in for our appt with no problem. Not our normal vet, but they gave me such good feedback and tips that we will be back!

Not one thing! Dr. Brown was excellent. I am glad I gave you another try. I had actually gone to the Animal Emergency and Trauma Center but Keebah was acting up so much and the wait was so long I just left. Dr. Brown was flawless and she got my baby back to acting up. Thank you very much. Her being sick disrupted the entire house and atmosphere of the house.

Very convenient location for us and we feel our dog is getting terrific care and attention. We just got a new puppy and signed up for the College Road new puppy insurance plan. Great value.

I was very pleased with College Road Animal Hospital. My cat had been sick for 3 days, I took her in to see Kimberly Ospedale, she did blood work and gave Tessie treatment to help her. I was very thankful that I live near by them and they could help her. They also called me twice once I returned home checking on her. Thank y'all again for your kindness and help.

Truly awesome staff. Kind and caring. I wish my experience with human doctors was as genuine and caring as the veterinarian here. I’m very relieved my amazing service dog Mq’ii is getting the best ever care for the best ever doggo.

I write this in hope that your kitten won’t have to suffer as mine did. I do take some responsibility because it’s common knowledge that declawing is not recommended..not only that. It’s cruel. I know that now. My previous vet does not declaw nor do other vets I tried before I found Dr Lansing, the owner of College Road Animal Hospital. Of course there is risk and I knew that, but Dr. Lansing’s explanation of the laser declawing procedure before the surgery compared to after his surgery that caused nerve damage and chronic pain was remarkably different. Had Dr. Lansing described the surgery to me as he did when it was too late, I would not have gone through with it. And had Dr. Lansing been as callous with me before as he was after, I would not have gone through with it. But I did agree. I knew in my gut it was wrong and I listened to what I wanted to hear. As long as I didn’t have to deal with Dr. Lansing, the other doctors and staff compassionately treated my kitten. Dr. S came to my car and consulted, but when I asked Dr. Lansing if he could come outside, he couldn’t...or wouldn’t. When I asked him this last time to speak with me over the phone, he wouldn’t. Dr. Lansing refused to see my kitten, telling me that I should go somewhere else or pay for the emergency visit at night. Note: previously, the other doctors had no trouble refilling the meds, but he was refusing to refill and to see the kitten he had operated on- the kitten who had brought in over 2000 dollars to his business. I had recently written these same sentiments I’m sharing now on an email to his office and my only conjecture is that he was not happy with me, and in turn, was taking it out on my kitten. But he finally agreed to write a refill on my kitten’s pain meds, but only after I told him my conjecture, begged, and mentioned talking to a lawyer. All this for pain meds that had been refilled continuously since the surgery he performed in April. My kitten was in pain, Dr. Lansing refused to see her (even though walk-ins are encouraged), and I couldn’t find a vet with an opening before her pain meds ran out. Out of desperation, I was willing to go away quietly so I could get the meds. But even until the very end, his actions show ill intent. He proved he’s just as cold when it comes to money as he is when it came to treating my kitten. He gave me 4 days of medicine and tried to charge me the same as 20 days of medicine. After refusing to pay 5 times as much as was ethical, I finally received the right amount at the right amount. I would not be acting ethically if I didn’t share my experience and warn others. And if all that isn’t enough: He thought he was operating on my previous cat who would have been almost two at the time of surgery and who been spaded as shown in the records of Sept 2020. Instead he was operating on a 5 mouth old kitten in April of 2021 who had just obviously been spaded. My five month old kitty is gray and white. My previous kitten was a brown tabby. There’s no excuse. Gratefully, I have a kind vet now-one who doesn’t condone declawing. A vet so willing to declaw as Dr. Lansing is without offering ways to avoid it shouldn’t be a vet. Shame on me for scraping the barrel to find such a vet. Shame on Dr. Lansing, too.

My 5 year old boxer has had 2 mass removal surgeries in the past 4 months, and College Road Animal Hospital has been fantastic with the removals and aftercare for each one. They've been quick to see him, are always friendly, and even though my dog has been going in for tough reasons, he's still always willing to go into their office and comes out happy and wagging his tail, letting me know he's well cared for while he's there. They are extremely responsive, picking up, calling back, and answering emails within 24 hours (and oftentimes much less). I also feel that they really listen to our concerns and are never bothered by my many questions. I highly recommend College Road Animal Hospital!
